"I would have to say I'm a sparrow. You don't quite strike me as a beta fish though." She looked over at him, tongue sticking out once again as she tried to think of an animal that fit him.
"I would have to say I'm a sparrow. You don't quite strike me as a beta fish though." She looked over at him, tongue sticking out once again as she tried to think of an animal that fit him.
“May I ask what I do remind you of?” He covered his ears as they pasted a beehive, the amount of voices freaking him out a bit,
"I'm trying to think…maybe a crow? I like crows…um…definitely some kind of bird.."
“You aren’t doing the thing.” Damian noted suddenly, sounding a bit disappointed.
"Huh?" She blinked, confused.
“When you think rather hard about something, you stick your tongue out a bit.” He explained. “I simply found it odd that you weren’t doing it now.”
"O-oh." Catori's cheeks darkened, and she looked down at her lap. "I'm, er, not quite sure how to respond to that…"
“I usually say thank you and hope for the best.’ Damian replied dryly. He smiilied at his weak attempt at humor.
She laughed, covering her mouth with her free hand. "Well, thank you."
“You’re welcome.” He smirked, hiding his amusement at the situation.
Fletcher arrived at the palace to see if any princess was remaining.
Pine raised an eyebrow slightly. "And what was it really like?"
"You're a good rider," Victor noted, jumping back on Charming. They probably should have left by now.
Alexia smiled and nodded, "I have my own horse back where I come from." She said, shifting in the saddle until she was comfortable, "Let's go."
"A combination of wealthy buffoons and poor slums. Our people could hardly feed themselves during the harsh winters," Lotus commented with a slight bit of sorrow and spite, "No matter what I tried I couldn't convince them to help out, and was left powerless with the knowledge I had."
Maybe if Pine was king he could try to fix that. "This city, Petrel, is mostly inhabited by arrogant nobles and and their rich servants. Most of the rest of Aurele is filled with small towns and boring but happy people, but it gets far poorer and wilder the closer you get to the borders. From what I've experienced, most of these people are too busy with themselves to need or think about improvement."
Victor kicked Charming and took off away from the palace. "I hope you like going really fast, then."
She grinned and tapped Poe's sides, causing him to start cantering after Victor and Charming, "Of course, Snowball, my horse is anything but slow."
Lotus nodded as she let out a sigh, "I find that is a problem with most kingdoms. If everyone could just stop for a second and think about each other, then maybe the world would be much better."
Ursule gave a nod, nudging her foot into her horse's side. Both her and the horse lurching forward.
(So is there a princess for me at the palace)
“You’re welcome.” He smirked, hiding his amusement at the situation.
"Do I really…do that?" Catori asked, a bit hesitantly.
“You do. It’s rather endearing.” Damian stared straight ahead, trying to avoid becoming flustered. “It’s not a bad habit.”
Catori bit her lip, and allowed her hair to hide her face. She mumbled something unintelligible.
“I apologize if I offended you, Princess. It was merely an observation.” Damian allowed himself to look over, now concerned.
"No! No, I'm not-not offended. I just wasn't aware that I did that…"
“I wouldn’t recommend stopping.” He responded smoothly, scratching Quintus behind the ear.
