“Only?” She raised an eyebrow. “That’s really sad. Have you never snuck into other Districts before? I have. The Fire District literally teaches their glisten not to trust Waters. It’s pathetic, really.”
“Only?” She raised an eyebrow. “That’s really sad. Have you never snuck into other Districts before? I have. The Fire District literally teaches their glisten not to trust Waters. It’s pathetic, really.”
“So,” Blaise said, leaning back. “What do you like to do for fun? Don’t judge, I’m hopelessly awful at starting up conversations.”
Ash smiled. "I play with my siblings. I train. A lot. And, er, I like to read as well," she said, somewhat embarrassed. "How about you?"
(I missed… A lot…)
Royce shook his head. He smiled ruefully before he turned to the window. He had one page open.
I was never interested in the other Districts anyways
(What's all going on?)
just read it all and join in with me ig
He shrugged. “I like to run. And volunteer at the local school. But some of the things they teach are dumb. Like, did you know that we’re supposed to hate the people of the Water District?”
"Um, yes? They teach everyone that… don't they?" She asked confusedly.
(What's all going on?)
(Well, so the names were chosen, and they’re all on the train to the Capital. The Water people are allies, as well as the Earth and Air male. True Fires are just talking, and… yeah.)
“They are dumb,” Ara agreed. She spotted a bar covered in food and moved over to it, selecting a knife and twisting it around in her fingers before tossing it at the wall.
Blaise shrugged. “I guess. But I think it’s kind of stupid. We should be working in harmony with other Districts, not being scared of them because they are different.” He shrugged. “At least, that’s what I think. But the Water girl, I can see why we’d never trust her. She’s bad luck.”
Ash shuddered. "She gives me the creeps," she agreed. "They formed a group, and they were all talking about how best to murder people, and…" she shuddered again.
(Lynn and @ShadowNights I'm so sorry for not being on!)
Blaise laughed. “Yeah. The guy seems creepy. But did you see the Air girl? She seemed scary.” He shivered. “Not as bad as Water, but, you know, close.”
"I, er, I try not to think about competition too much. Then maybe the Games won't actually happen. Maybe I can find a way out and stowaway on a ship going somewhere else," she said wistfully.
“I know, right? It sounds very nice right now.” He sighed. “I am glad that I got chosen though. I don’t know what I would have done otherwise. This is my last year that I’m able to, and I want to win. You know Flayme, the winner about 6 years ago? I’ve always admired her.”
"I did as well," Ash admitted. "I just - if I'm being honest, I'm not a killer. I can kill animals, but real, living people?" She shook her head. "Can't do it. Maybe I'll be able to hide the whole time."
(That's cool. Just hop in when you're ready.)
He tilted his head, scrutinizing her. “Well, with that small frame, you’d be able to. Easily.”
Ash grinned briefly. "I've gotten good at it," she said, not bragging, just telling the truth.
“I bet. With siblings, I can see that.” Blaise sends her a quick smile.
Ash smiled at the thought. "They think I can turn invisible… I'm just good at making camouflage," she explained.
“Lucky. I can’t blend in to save my life.” He gestured at his body. “I can’t even fit in the largest of spaces. Claustrophobic.”
Seong-Jin looks over at the other Air member.
She seems cool, and she will be on my team right? So should I talk to her?
Ash smiled sympathetically. "That's going to be tough. I'll probably end up hiding and making traps. I'm not good with actual, real-live people. Like, at all. Even if I catch a real person in a trap, though, I wouldn't be able to kill them. I'd probably just leave them there for whoever comes along next," she said thoughtfully.
Kai looks over at the other Earth member. She looks cool, maybe I should go over (His thoughts).
