There seemed to be a glowing blue light in the armor she attempted to speak to the creature “ hello can you speak” it silently started to walk but it did seem to stop when she spoke to it
There seemed to be a glowing blue light in the armor she attempted to speak to the creature “ hello can you speak” it silently started to walk but it did seem to stop when she spoke to it
Tolkalee calmly pulled his bow out, and set and arrow on it. Ready to pull back if he needed. He didn't yet because he didn't know if the figure was friend or foe. "Kat, can you tell if this person means to attack or are they here to help you?"
it seemed to speak in some unknown dielectric but she understood it said “She who enters this hallowed ruin cover in the marks of a civilization long lost, for is it truth you seek or a cure from your great plight” she spoke again “I think it is a guardian that is here to help us.” She spoke back in the same language she wasn’t aware that she spoke back to it in the same tongue I seek both for without knowledge a cure is an exercise in futility” the creature nodded and stepped aside for a panel that slid to show stairs leading into a cript
Tolkalee noded, not understanding fully what was going on, but not questioning it. He'd learn many years back that sometimes it was just better to follow and learn. Which is what he planned to do here. "You lead the way miss Kat. This is your journey."
She slowly walked down the steps and it opened into a larger crypt filled with skeletons and it was barely lit suddenly a skeleton jumped from the darkness she retaliated with spell of wind that scattered the bones surprisingly her marks stayed semi dormant and they didn’t grow at all she looked down at her hands surprised at what had happened
Tolkalee was soon next to her, having heard the bones get scattered. He had his bow out still. "You okay?" he asked looking around the room.
“ No I’m fine”she looked around at every detail as they got farther into the crypt the hall got darker and the only light was the dim glow of the rooms kat noticed a door with what seemed to be engraved skulls of animals lost to time she pushed open the doors into a better lit room with many coffins and tombs and at the far end of the room there was this one out cove covered in runes that we’re glowing she started to walk over to the our cove and once she reached The outcome she held out her hand blue swirling energy rapped around her hand and pulling away some of the words on her neck the light dimmed and there was only about two sentences left on her hand but for sum reason she understood them but before she could read them the coffins bust and the undead slowly pulled themselves out
Tolkalee quickly switched to his short sword. He was going to guess that these undead people, were not a welcoming party. "Miss Kat, what is your judgement call?" he moved so that he was practically back to back with her.
She drew here weapon “they aren’t peaceful” she said as she sliced one that dived at her she started to use her magic more freely at the undead around her
Tolkalee parried an attack attempt and easily started wading through the skeletons. Well it looked easy, because he was forcing himself to continue. But every movement hurt due to his injuries from earlier. And he was time skipping again, which was taking a large amount of stamina. He wouldn't be able to keep this up for very long.
She created a shockwave with Alan it no strain and the twelve skeletons around her crumbled “we should try to leave now” she said hopping around the oncoming hoard
"No," Tolkalee responded sidestepping one of the skeletons and making eye contact with Kat. "We just have to wait a little longer."
(Are you okay with me inserting another one of my characters for a brief moment?)
(That is fine you can have the character be in for longer if you want)
“Why’s that” she said as she destroyed another skeleton
"Because I have-" Tolkalee didn't finish as something smashed into a hoard of the skeletons, sending them flying, with lightning arcing out all the way around the room. Carefully bending around Kat and Tolkalee. A figure stood up from the center of the now crumpled hoard. Lightning sparking from their hands, and the daggers in them. "Back up coming." Tolkalee finished his statement. The figure looked across the room at Tolkalee gave a nod and then started fighting again.
“Who the hell is that!” She said this with overwhelming alarm as she kept fighting all the skeletons worth using new magic she had never attempted
The figure moved cleanly through the now forming sea of skeletons. They landed themself next to Kat at one point revealing that they were a female. A younger looking female, not a kid though. She smiled at Kat. "Hi," she said friendly. "My name's Tonakee." More lightning shot out around them.
“Hi” she said confusedly “ are you Tolkalee’s sister or something” she hit a few more skeletons with a concussive blast when they got too close
(Sorry for not answering I’ve been sick for the last few days)
(No, that's fine.)
Tonakee gave a smile. "Spot on," she replied. "Tolkalee and I have a pretty strong connection, so when you guys got in trouble I knew and headed out this way." The dagger in Tonakee's hand was surrounded in lightning, as she slashed through several skeletons.
(Sorry for my huge hiatus again I’m sorry for how often this happens)
He killed more and more breaking the brittle bones but something was off about the one she was fighting it had a gold pendent or mad saloon around its neck and seemed to have armor unlike the others as she fought it more skeletons converged on her as though that skeletons was its leader
(Don't worry, I was gone for pretty much that whole time as well.)
Tolkalee ad Tonakee were fighting back to back now. Lightning surrounded them and branched out around them. Because she was hadn't been in as many fights recently, Tonakee was doing twice the damage that Tolkalee was, and Tolkalee was slowing down even more. Thanks to Tonakee's lightning however he was fairly well protected.
Back at camp Seth jumped and sat up looking around. A shiver ran up and down his spine and as he breathed out he could see his breath. It was also quiet again. Deathly quiet. "Jackson!" he whispered. It seemed like it was just the two of them now. Them and whatever was now stalking them.
He shot up and grabbed his weapon and Whispered to Seth”what!” It seemed more like a quite yell he looked around wildly looking for something that was attacking but nothing seemed to be there but he didn’t relax there was a feeling or presence and he new he was being watched
She engaged in a duel with this creature the other skeletons would try to attack from time to time but she deflected it As she attacked again with her danger it shattered as the skeleton blocked it right after that one of the ones outside of the duel dived at her she pulled the long sword out of its hand and shoved it to the ground she continued to fight
Tolkalee was still in the fight, however, he was getting tired, and Tonakee knew he was. Which was a bad thing considering they were surrounded by skeletons that were trying to kill them. "Tolk, what on earth were you guys doing to piss off the dead?"
"Um, walking through," Tolkale replied.
"Seriously?" Tonakee glanced over her shoulder in his direction.
"Yeah," Tolkalee began fighting his way over towards Kat. "We need to help Kat, and then we need to get back to the others."
Seth was on his feet with his long sword out. Whatever had come earlier was back and it was much closer now. "Jackson," he muttered quietly. "I don't think we should try and fight this thing. I think it wants to talk." He was staring into the shadows, as if he was looking at something. Then he started walking forwards, like he was drawn to something. It felt wrong though. Almost hostile.
(I'm so sorry, I've been gone for so long. Stuff happened and I needed a break from this. But I'm back now!)
(Me too sorry Covid kind of pushed everything out of my mind and I completely forgot about this whole website)
