Caesar let out a disheartened sigh.
"That's unfortunate…" he said, accidentally sounding a lot more sarcastic than he intended to.
He looked over to Anna and Zozzie, trying to gauge both of their reactions.

(Okay, so Red left due to not being able to be online a whole lot and RPs not being a huge priority[note that they are totally welcome to come back if they want to or change their mind], so I'll be using Simon as an NPC for a little bit.)
Simon and Bulbasaur had been fixing a potted plant that had been knocked over. Now, Simon stood stark still. He had heard about the case over the radio, but hadn't really thought much of it. Now, with the mention of someone possibly dying, he couldn't help but feel scared. Bulbasaur nudged him. "Ah–I'm okay. Just a little rattled," he assured the little Pokemon.

(Yes?)
(Can you reply?)
(Yep.)
Oof.//
(Oof?)
Sorry.//
(No I was just confused. Why oof? XD)
(Oof, um, well, you see.)
(XD)
Yes…//
(Hey @The-Moral-Ambiguity-of-Metaphors, can you please reply? I'm sorry if I'm bugging you, I just want to move this along.)
(I think I'll just drop this, like Red. I'm not sure what to do.)
(Oh, uh…Okay. If you want to come back at any time, feel free. Mind if I RP your character until I can work her out of the story in a plausible way that can also allow you to come back if you want?)
(Wait can I change my mind? Lmao I'm sorry but I just caught up with the RP.)
Annie jumped out of her thoughts at the crash of a flower pot, still gripping her Totodile close to her chest, who was straining towards the Feraligatr tailing Silver, of course who had distracted the young trainer. She never could see herself in the confident male's shoes, but sometimes wondered what it would be like if someone would beat Silver.
She looked over his large Pokémon curiously, though she frowned at the news the champion brought. The news of the pair's disappearance was rampid in Kalos and Unova, and she had seen it a lot on her way over to this lab.
(Lol you're good, glad you're not leaving! Sorry I took so long to reply, I had State Band Festival.)
Anna blinked hard. She shook her head a little bit, steeling herself, then looked at Silver. "You're talking about Gold, right? The Trainer that went missing several months ago?"
Silver looked at her. She had picked up Cinnamon, who didn't appear to grasp the fact that someone was missing, possibly hurt or dead. The little fire mouse did understand that people were upset, however, and looked at Silver expectantly, head cocked slightly to the side. He hesitated, seeming to consider whether or not to answer, then nodded. "Yeah, why?"
"Well, when you hear the words 'bloodstains' and 'body' in the same context, it's a little scary, I guess?" Anna replied. She looked down at Cinnamon. "Plus, Gold used to be the Champion. If something could take him ou–down, then it'd need to be something extremely powerful, right?"
"Yeah," Caesar agreed, "Do you guys think it was another person, or maybe some big, scary legendary pokemon?"
He was entertaining a lot of thoughts in his head about the situation. It scared him a little, but mostly, he was intrigued.
He stroked Chikorita's neck and it made a soft, happy noise.
"First off, stop asking a guy about his probably dead friend, that's fucked up." Zozzie said, shaking their head like 'what the fuck guys.' They turned to Silver and said. "Look dude, I don't know who you are, but I know losing someone fucking sucks."
(Ooh, is that possibly some backstory on Zozzie?)
Anna winced at Zozzie's words, and averted her gaze to the ground. Fuck, he's right. I guess I spoke without thinking, didn't I?
Silver, meanwhile, looked at Zozzie curiously. He'd encountered fans, even been challenged to a battle immediately after leaving a building, but somehow he hadn't met anyone who didn't know who he was. That said, the Champion couldn't help but see a bit of his younger self in them. "Silver, Champion of Johto. And yeah, losing someone does 'fucking suck'." He gave a little bit of a smirk when he said that. "But sitting around and being depressed won't find answers. Since I'm guessing you haven't heard of the case, I'll fill you in.
Towards the end of last year, people stopped hearing back from Gold and Crystal–two ex-Champions who had left the region to pursue different paths. Eventually, they were declared missing and people went to search their last known whereabouts. Their parties came back empty-handed and eventually it was old news. And now, this new lead. Maybe I'm being naive, but until his body is found and identified, I choose to believe that he's still out there." Silver turned to Caesar. "As for your question…it could really be either one."
Anna, who still felt bad for tactlessly asking about Gold, looked at Silver. "I don't know which one would be scarier," she said, somewhat quietly, "I mean, a wild Pokemon rampaging and hurting people would definitely be bad news, but at the same time, another person just…going after him? What would they want to do that for?"
"Zozzie, local-Actually, can't say that. Anyhow, I'm Zozzie and this is Author." They introduced, catching themselves before they could say something stupid. "Possibly ransom, though most people would wait about a week or so to get to a secure location before sending out a ransom request." Zozzie said it was obvious they knew a lot about that.
