Frost snuggled in closer to Hiro in his sleepy daze.
Winter and Elias watched Hiro rub his back. Winter mumbled,
“If Frost goes to sleep after I’ve done the same thing for years, I’m going to riot.”
Elias playfully leaned in and kissed Winter in the cheek.
“Relax my love. The child is going to go to sleep anyways. And think of it this way. You don’t have to stand and rock him. Just enjoy the moment.”
Winter looked at Elias and kissed his nose.
“I know hun. The sooner we finish telling the stories and the sooner we get Frost to sleep, the sooner we get blissful sleep. We both need it.”
" if you guys wanna go to sleep go ahead, im sure we can handle it."
"Wait!" Estelle complained, pulling away from Shiloh's lips. The Twi'lek whined softly. "What about my story?"
hiro chuckled " alright lets hear it,"
Winter yawned.
“We’ll stay up a little longer Hiro. I in particularly want to hear Estelle’s story! I love it.”
Elias stretched.
“I have to say the rescue mission we carried out for Estelle was pretty epic. And I do have to say I saw the stars in Shiloh’s eye as soon as she saw Estelle.”
Elias draped himself dramatically over Winter’s lap.
“It was love at first sight.”
Winter smiled down at her husband and laughed at his antics.
“What are you even doing?”
Elias smiled back up at her.
“Being dramatic. That’s what I’m doing. I’m taking lessons from Estelle. Is it working?”
Winter rolled her eyes.
“Obviously…”
Estelle giggled at Elias. "I have taught you well," she remarked while a light purple flush came to Shiloh's blue skin.
"Love at first sight indeed," Shiloh murmured, gazing at Estelle sweetly.
hiro chuckled, feeling the kid on top of him finally fall asleep. " hes out.."
Winter sighed happily.
“Finally. If you would like too, you can take him back to his room. Or if you want too, you can hold him for a little longer. He seems to like you. And Estelle, steal the show hun! Enrapture us with your story!”
hiro smiled softly, keeping frost in his arms,
Estelle glanced over at her Twi'lek wife. Shiloh seemed to understand and the look, and in response, she smiled, squeezed Estelle's hand, and nodded to urge her to continue. Estelle inhaled slowly and began to talk.
"Picking up a bit where Winter's story left off, I was the handmaiden who hid her. The Empire, instead of killing me, kidnapped me. I didn't find out I was actually kidnapped until Shiloh, Winter, Elias, and our old friends Essar and his droid Hi-5 came to rescue me. I lived on Naboo, and my parents were senators. When I found out they worked for the Emperor, doing his dirty work, I sent out a distress signal, and these lunatics picked it up." She laughed as Shiloh nuzzled her nose into her partner's neck.
"Anyway, long story short, we went to some asteroid, blew up an Imperial mine, killed my fake parents, I saved Shiloh's life, and now we're married, ta-da!" She grabbed Shiloh's hand and held up their fingers with their wedding rings. Shiloh's was on her ring finger, like normal, but Estelle's was on her middle finger.

" why are they not on the same finger?" hiro sked quietly
Shiloh instantly blushed, the red of her blood turning her blue skin purple, and Estelle burst out laughing.
"I'll tell you, because I know she won't," Estelle said when she was done laughing. "When this silly Twi'lek proposed, she was so nervous that she put the ring on the wrong finger!"
"It was an accident!" Shiloh insisted, her face turning even more purple.
Estelle laughed again. "I just liked it so much I kept it."
Winter smirked.
“I was gonna say bc she likes to flip people off with some class, but ya know that works too. Elias here didn’t even really propose. We skipped right to the marriage part. The funny thing that I witnessed however, was him freaking out the entire time I was pregnant with Frost. I couldn’t move without him losing his mind. And then Frost decided he was going to come say hello on Coruscant and several Pantorans and Leia’s husband had to work overtime to keep him from having a meltdown and barging down the door to get to me. It was quite the show. Leis still says she has the monitor footage by the way Elias.”
Elias frowned.
“Hey. I was just worried about our kid. He’s the first Hothian born in almost 16 years. I was so worried we were going to screw something up. And when I held him for the first time, I was so scared I was going to hurt him. And then you grabbed him, took our poor son, wrapped him in cloth and submerged him in artificial snow, because ‘he had to develop his weatherproofing’ to the cold. I was so worried about that and you were chilling with it the entire time. I was paranoid for about three days until you brought him out very sarcastically said and went, ‘well he’s finished cooking.’ And he acted completely normal. The Pantorans were so confused and Leia just looked at you and said alright then and walked off. It was a weird experience.”
Winter rolled her eyes.
“Sorry you weren’t cultured in the ways of cold weather proofing a child. Watching your reaction though was immaculate the entire time. I’ve never seen you so anxiety ridden in my entire life.”
while hed been trying his best, the poor boy had fallen asleep with the child in his arms. and announced to him, he'd set up some sort of shield around them both with his power.
Winter had noticed that Hiro had started to fall asleep. She kept talking amongst Estelle and Shiloh and Elias, until Elias tapped her shoulder.
“Win… Look. There’s our reason. I’ve never seen a Force Wielder create a shield around more than one person. They can protect themselves, but to widen it out enough to protect others? It’s unheard of. How are we going to help this boy?”
Winter got the attention of Estelle and Shiloh and tilted her head in the direction of Hiro.
“I have no clue how to help him Elias. The only thing I can do right now is treat him like our son. He has no family. He has nowhere to go. And I’m not going to let him go without anything, when we’ve been privileged enough to have an abundance of everything. He’s special and we all see that. But it’s late, the poor boy is exhausted, and Frost is asleep. Can you get through the shield, or are you going to move to Frost’s room?”
Elias rubbed his hands together and smiled.
“I’m going to move both of them to Frost’s room. Just a little bit of force wielding. Just gotta focus and levitate them there. Shouldn’t be too bad.”
Winter watched as Elias lifted Frost and Hiro off the couch and floated them to Frost’s room. She rolled her eyes at Elias.
“Wow. I’m so impressed. What a neat trick hun.”
Elias just laughed and sleepily looked at Winter.
“I think it’s time for two tired parents to go to bed. We’ve had a long day. Goodnight Estelle and Shiloh. See you guys tomorrow morning!”
"Goodnight," Estelle replied, leaning on Shiloh lovingly. "Want to get back?" she asked quietly.
"Sure," Shiloh murmured, looping an arm around Estelle's waist and pulled her to her feet. "Chini, wachamio." (Come, let's go.)
Estelle giggled and let Shiloh lead her through the airlock back to their ship.
hiro stayed with the kid until what would be a Tatooine morning. he got up and got to work helping around the ship. sweeping, figuring out how to cook a decent breakfast for the crew
Winter and Elias slept like rocks. They were dead to the world. That is, until mischievous giggling came from the kitchen. Winter bolted upright and narrowed her eyes. She smacked Elias awake.
“Get up. Frost is laughing and I smell food cooking. Either the kitchen is a disaster or Frost is levitating something partially dangerous.”
Elias rolled over and grabbed Winter’s waist and pulled her closer to him.
“At this point who cares. I’m still exhausted… Let the kitchen be in shambles I’m not going to stop anything. I’ve got to regain every amount of energy that I lost.”
Winter rolled away from Elias and got out of bed and changed out of her pajamas and put clothes on.
“I’m sorry hun. I’m going to go see what has happened in the kitchen. Sleep in for a few more minutes. But if the food is ready, I’m dragging you out here myself.”
Elias grumbled.
“I’d like to see you try…”
Winter rolled her eyes and walked out of her bedroom and towards the kitchen, where the giggling was occurring. She saw Frost levitating ingredients, and Hiro trying to make a breakfast with said floating ingredients. She smiled at what was going on.
“We’ll good morning to both of you!”
Frost turned towards his mother and jumped out of the chair he was in.
“AMA!”
Winter caught the ingredients with the Force before they hit the floor and gently set them down on the counter beside Hiro.
“Good morning Frost darling. What are you helping Hiro cook?”
Frost smiled and shrugged his little shoulders. Winter knelt down and ruffled his hair.
“Frost I have a mission for you. And it’s so very important. I need you to go jump on Ada and wake him up. Can you do that?”
Frost nodded and ran off as fast as his little legs could carry him. A muffled ‘oof’ was heard from the room, followed by joyful squealing.
Winter laughed at the shenanigans that were being caused. And then she turned towards Hiro.
“What are you cooking? And do you need any help? I’d be more than happy to help you if you ask.”
" I'm supposed to be making muffins but with Frost's help they turned out to be more like hotcakes. and yes, help would be amazing. " he checked the oven, levitating the things out and putting a new batch in " the batter on the counter needs more flour and I still have to add eggs. in not sure if people wanted regular or blue berry and frost has specially made chocolate ones by request. "
Winter laughed.
“Of course Frost asked for chocolate. He’s his own little person. And don’t worry about flavors. Just throw them in there and they’ll get eaten. Elias isn’t a picky person, and neither are Estelle and Shiloh. Food is food. But yeah this batter is missing just a little bit of ingredients. I’m going to assume Frost was the one helping with this batch. But not to worry, nothing a little mom magic can’t fix. Just a little bit of flour, some eggs, and some milk, and voila! We have an acceptable batter for some muffins. I’m going to throw blueberries in this one. Now is there anything else you want to go with the muffins? I can make it while the muffins are cooking.”
" ahm I'm not sure what els frost will eat… these were his idea"
Winter put her hands on her hips.
“Well that little rascal. Of course he wanted muffins. Well then. I guess we’ll have chocolate and blueberry, and I know there’s some other type of berry that Shiloh likes, but I have no clue if I have it. Maybe she has some.”
"Do you mean bellberries?"
Shiloh's voice preceded her as she came through the airlock with Estelle trailing her. Their fingers were intertwined, and the Twi'lek was pulling her Hothian partner along with her as they made their way over to where Winter and Hiro were talking.
"Bellberries are her favorite," Estelle chimed in.
"When I ran away, I lived on Endor before I joined up with everyone else," Shiloh explained. "I ate bellberries for practically every meal."
" alright, wanna get them out?" he asked and gave a gentle smile to the two
"I'll get them!" Estelle suggested, and she darted back through the airlock onto her partner's ship.
Shiloh chuckled. "So how long have you all been up?" she asked, preparing herself a cup of caf. She didn't like it much when she was younger, but Estelle did, and Shiloh had grown to like it.
