Elias set Frost down and watched at he ran into Hiro’s arms.
“Unbelievable. Just unbelievable. He never did this to me even when he was learning to walk. Win we are gonna need a Frost 2.0 if he continues on like this. I need at least one of my offspring to tolerate me.”
Winter rolled her eyes.
“We both know a Frost 2.0 isn’t what we need right now. That would be too much chaos. You’re gonna have to deal with Frost the original. Just wait until he hits the teenage years.”
Hiro laughed slightly, cuddling with the small child and yawning
Winter rolled her eyes at her son’s antics.
“Hiro if you’re tired you can go get a nap. We are still a little ways off from Coruscant. I’ll wake you when we are about an hour away. So you can get ready. Ready for what, I have no clue, but I’m gonna give you some time to mentally prepare yourself for whatever might come your way.”
“I'll be fine, plus frost seems to want company anyway. “ he said, rubbing the small child's back gently
Elias sighed and headed back to fix the cubby Frost had taken apart.
“He’s a social butterfly. Keep him busy while I fix his mess. If I don’t have any interruptions, I can fix it in like 10 minutes.”
“Kay,” Hiro said and let frost play around with his force ball

Estelle and Shiloh seemed to be in their own little world. Their faces were close, and they whispered together as Winter and Elias did most of the talking to Hiro, something the Twi’lek and ex-Hothian didn’t mind in the slightest. They were much more engaged in each other until their names were mentioned in the same sentence as “parenthood.”
Shiloh’s eyes widened. “Oh no,” she moaned. “Please don’t get started on that topic.”
Estelle grinned. “See? It’s almost like it’s meant to happen.”
The blue-skinned Twi’lek pursed her lips. “You always say that about everything.”
“Uh, yeah,” Estelle retorted good-naturedly. “Because it usually applies to almost everything.”
"Not kids," Shiloh muttered back.
Winter pursed her lips and widened her eyes.
"Oh stars did I open a can of space worms? I mean here's a prime opportunity to get some parenting experience in. I have Frost, and we have Hiro. I mean…… Here's two prime opportunities!"

"'Can of space worms' is an understatement," Shiloh muttered while Estelle clapped excitedly.
"Yes! We'd love to babysit Frost! Whenever you need us to!" the blue-haired woman exclaimed. Her partner elbowed her in the ribs, which she provided a returning glare for.
Winter looked over at Hiro and Frost
"I mean why don't you guys have at it? Go be cool aunts! Show the kiddos what fun is!"
She doubled over in laughter, and Elias laughed from the corridor.
“Please don't babysit me.” hiro pleaded
Winter smirked at Hiro.
"Aw come on. You don't wanna have fun with the cool aunts? Or do you just wanna stay with Elias? He's a boring old man."
Elias shouted from the corridor.
"Who are you calling old?! Last I checked, you were older than me! Old man my butt. And boring? I am not boring. I'm the exact opposite of boring!"
Winter mimed Elias talking, getting a giggle out of Frost.
Hiro chuckled, “Elias isn't that bad. Believe it or not, he's like a dad I never had..”
Winter looked back at Estelle and Shiloh and gestured to Hiro.
"See? Do you see what you're missing out on?"
Elias finished fixing the cubby, and walked back to Hiro. He put his hand on his shoulder.
"Aw bud I'm glad you think of me as the dad you never had. It means a lot. I sure don't want you to end up how me and Win did. Granted we're fine now, but before Frost, we had our share of troubles. With the Empire, being the last of our kind, and very young adults in a galaxy we knew nothing about. I just want you to know things that I didn't know. Because it was awful learning lessons from people who were never kind."
Shiloh pursed her lips. "I'm not exactly convinced," she replied, earning an elbow from Estelle in return.
"Come on, please, Shi!" Estelle begged, basically ignoring everyone else. "Please, please, please! I promise, you won't have to do anything. I'll do all the work! You just stand there and look cute, which is no problem for you! Please!"
Shiloh rolled her eyes, but she couldn't help the smile that pulled on her lips. "Fine," she relented, causing Estelle to squeal with joy.
Hiro laughed “ how about a sister” he asked and tilted his head
Winter smiled.
"Alright. From now until we get to Coruscant, treat Frost as your own kid. Get a feeling of parenthood. Be cool and have fun. Have at it."
Winter motioned for Frost to come over to her.
"Son, you're going to be hanging with your aunties until we get to Coruscant. Behave for them."
Frost nodded and smiled at Estelle and Shiloh.
Estelle grinned happily. Her entire complexion seemed to glow with joy, and for a moment, Shiloh forgot why her partner was so happy. The Twi'lek just couldn't take her eyes off of her.
The blue-haired woman, however, didn't seem to notice. Her entire gaze was fixed on Frost. "Hey, buddy!" she said, holding out her arms to entice him into a hug.
Frost ran to Estelle.
"Pick me up Estelle!"
Winter laughed at his antics, and laughed even harder when she noticed Elias' pout.
"It'll be okay hun. He'll give you a hug later."
Elias pouted even more.
"He better. Or else I'm going to go find a space dog or something that loves me more."
Estelle lifted Frost easily into her arms. “Hello, my love!” she cooed, cradling Frost against her side and bouncing around with excitement.
Shiloh rolled her eyes watching the scene play out. “I’m right with you Elias,” she called, shooting a side-eye glance at her wife.
Estelle’s mouth dropped open. “No! Stop! I told you that all you had to do was sit and look cute!”
“Technically, you said ‘stand and look cute,’” Shiloh pointed out with a smirk.
“ guys, please don't teach frost to argue” he said pleadingly, hiri got up and grabbed his saber, attaching it to his belt
“He’s going to learn at some point,” Estelle quipped. “He might as well learn to get good at it.”
Shiloh threw her hands up in the air. “Stars, Estelle, you can’t say things like that!”
“Hmm… but I just did!” Estelle stuck her tongue out and continued to bounce with Frost.
