"I appreciate it…but I don't really wanna bother you, either… I brought this upon myself…" he looked away as he spoke, his voice gradually decreasing in volume. "I could've avoided this…"

kokichi sighed and hugged the other " but I'm still taking care of you."

Kaito hugged him back. "I don't really think I can stop you from doing that, so…" he paused for a moment, "thank you. Hopefully I'll be back to my normal self soon…"

"mhm.."

He yawned. "I should probably get some more sleep…"

"yeah.. i wanna be on you tho.."

"I don't mind…" he replied. "I prefer having you close anyway… Now let's go. I'm already falling asleep…"

He went back into the bedroom with Kokichi. He ended up asleep in less than a minute. It was clear he really needed to catch up on sleep after so long without it. Another few hours passed before he awoke once more. He looked at Kokichi, noticing that the other was still asleep. He gently ran his fingers through his hair, quietly waiting for him to wake up.

kokichi woke slowy from his touch "mm"

Kaito looked at the other, a soft smile forming. He felt rested, more energized. He was thinking that maybe everything would be over tomorrow, though he was unsure if the energy was only momentary like how it was hours prior. He waited for the other to fully wake up, then saying something.

"Hey…" he told him, his voice soft and quiet. "How are you?"

"tired.."he mumbled playfully.

"Fair. You just woke up. You wanna get some food?" he asked. "I'm think I'm up for going out."

"aright!"

Kaito smiled and stood up. "You can get yourself ready really quickly. I'll wait."

kokichi nodded, grabbing cothes for kaito and himself " wear these."

Kaito grabbed the clothes Kokichi had laid out for him. "Okay."

He quickly got changed, looking at the other after he did. "Ready?"

kokichi had gotten them matching outfits, " yup!'

"And I just noticed that our outfits match. It's cute, really," he smiled. "Now let's go!"

He took the other's hand and left the house, smiling. His energy was back, and it showed.

kokichi was smiling the whole way there

Kaito led Kokichi to a restaurant, smiling as they arrived.

"I know you like this place, so I decided to take you here," he smiled softly. "And yes, I did remember from when you brought it up that one time. Now, let's go eat!"

" yess!"

Kaito walked inside, still holding Kokichi's hand. They sat down and ordered, seeming to be happy as they chatted, waiting for their food.

kokichi talked happily, nuzzling kaito every now and then

Kaito smiled whenever the other nuzzled him. He was chatting happily about things, his volume occasionally increasing due to excitement and happiness.

kokichi smiled as their food arrived " this place is amazing "

Kaito smiled and nodded in agreement at the other's statement, immediately beginning to eat his food.

"Definitely. This place is amazing," he replied after a moment. "I knew bringing you here was a good idea!" He smiled, finally full of energy again.
