(okay so for plot rn i'm thinking it's their seventh year and peter is starting to get into sketchy stuff aka the dark arts and none of the couples are dating yet but the sexual tension is high,, also the characters have just formed the order of the phoenix)
Remus sat in the Gryffindor common room, studying for the potions test tomorrow. Professor Slughorn was giving the winning student a mystery prize and he was excited to see what it would be. It was starting to get late, but Remus wasn't tired. It was the best time of the month for him, as the full moon had been over a week ago and the next one wasn't coming for a couple of weeks. He was so deeply absorbed in his studies that he didn't hear the someone come up behind him.
James walked into the common room. He saw Remus hunched over his papers, still working at this hour.
"Still studying eh?" asked James. "Sirius, Peter, and I were gonna head down to the kitchens. Come with us and take a break."
