Leopardpaw watched Ashpaw fall before turning back towards Thunderpaw, looking furious. "You mouse brain! This is all your fault!" She hissed, pouncing towards him. He hopped out of the way, unsheathing his claws. "My fault? You're the one that pushed him!" Leopardkit pounced onto Thunderpaw's back and bit down on his neck. "Ah! What are you doing?! Get off!" She brought him down to the ground, tearing open his throat and waiting for him to die before her eyes. She licked a smear of blood off her cheek. "Serves you right…"

Ashpaw hit the ground of the camp and fell unconscious. His hind leg seemed to be broken and bleeding, and his fur was messy and littered with dust.

The pain in Ashpaw side deep and he could feel blood dripping down from the side of his head. The memory of how he got here was fuzzy but he could still pick out the details. Struggling to his feet, he was about to get up right he he fell again, he was hot, hurt, tied, and slightly confused. Closing his eye from the sun, a large shadow suddenly loomed over him.
