"A love triangle? Honestly! I'm a medicine cat! I'll never have a mate, you know this full well!"

"That doesn't mean you will not break it, cats have free will and they will use it whenever they want."

"True, but I don't want to have a mate." Finchpaw said pointedly. "I want to be a loyal, law abiding medicine cat. Anyways, we're at camp now. Surely there's something we need to do?"

Snowface walked out of the camp. "Hello. How was it?"

"Check up on Ashkit, that's one."
(I wont really be here tomorrow (Saturday))

"Good, pretty exhausting." Finchpaw nodded in greeting to Snowface. "Alright. He's probably doing better, at this point. If he's worse, then there's something very wrong."

"Then lets see!" Nodding to the deputy, she padded back to her den.

Snowface nodded. "Well that's good to know. How are the other Medicine Cats?"

"We will see when we go to the moonstone this half moon."

Ashkit looked up when they arrived. "You guys are finally back! Thunderkit kept trying to make me come out, but I said we should wait for you guys."

"That's very good, Ashkit." Silverbrook purred, licking the black kit on the head, "Lets go back to the den so I can look at you properly."

"Okay." The small kit padded off the the medicine den, sniffing the herbs as he walked by.

Following him close behind, the silver she-cat watched as Finchpaws two siblings raced along the edge of the camp, Dustpaw, a dark brown speckled tom, was very interested in his sisters fluffy golden ticked tail.
"I remember when Dawnpaw and I played at the edge of the camp." But sadly Dawnpaw had passed away when she caught greencough.

Finchpaw glanced over at her siblings. "They're a lot more athletic than I am… they'll be getting their warrior names soon, right?"

"Yes, but first they have to complete their assignment, let's hope Rainshadow will let Dustpaw get off easy, and Frostheart with Goldenpaw."
