Corian blinked.
"You two will be trained with the tributes from District One, since the Capitol obviously doesn't have any previous winners." Someone explained.
Corian blinked.
"You two will be trained with the tributes from District One, since the Capitol obviously doesn't have any previous winners." Someone explained.
"You two will be training with the tributes from the Capitol. They have no previous victors as they have never been in the Games until now, so I will also be training them. I hope you accept them into the Career Pack, because when we're done training, they will be good enough for it," someone explained to the tributes from District One.
Corian shifted, and nodded. "Okay." He said slowly.
"Do you two understand?" the person asked.
"We understand," Phoenix said.
"More Careers will make these Games better!" Jonas said.
Corian and the girl were led away, to another area.
All of the tributes were. They had time to say good-bye and talk to family, possibly for the last time.
Corian looked up as his father came in.
"Dad." He said softly.
Phoenix saw her sister Mia walk in. "Hey."
"Phoenix! You've been reaped! You'll definitely win the Games!" Mia said. She had previously won the Games and believed her family had the talent to win. Their parents had won in the past as well and she believed it just ran in the family.
His father sighed softly. "You. Of all people, it was you."
Corian shrugged. "Yeah. I can win, though."
"Mia, you don't understand. I'm not the kind to want to kill people," Phoenix said.
"Phoenix, winning the Games is just a talent in our family's blood. You've always been kind of different, but you'll win," Mia said. "You're going to do amazing."
"Yes, I'm sure you can." His father replied quietly.
Phoenix sighed. "Mia, fighting is not my thing. While I might've trained a lot since the day I was eight, a bit after you had turned eleven. You were reaped at twelve and did amazing, but I don't want to do this…"
Corian sighed. "Why is the Capitol even included?" He asked slowly.
"I don't know. It's the Quarter Quell. That's all I know."
Mia looked and Phoenix. "Listen to me, Phoenix, you will win this."
"Okay…" Corian trailed off, looking up at his father.
"Mia, are you sure?" Phoenix asked.
Corian sighed softly. "Dad, I won't fail this. And even if I do, I'll fail spectacularly. I don't plan on dying at the beginning."
"Of course I'm sure! It's in our blood, Phoenix!" Mia said.
His father nodded. "I know." He said.
Phoenix smiled slightly. "Well then, let's do this!"
Corian sighed softly. "I'll be training with District One."
His father nodded. "I know."
"What about the Capitol? Should I trust them?" Phoenix asked.
"You'll be in an alliance with them. Of course you can," Mia told her.
(Oh, and Mia is one of the victors to help train them. Reason? More building the sisters' relationship and also just because I don't want to make another OC. XD)
"Be careful. I'm not sure thst i trust the districts." His father said.
Corian nodded. "I know. I'm always careful."
"You should still be cautious around them, but they will become your allies," Mia said.
His father sighed. "You are not. But okay."
