Corian kept walking, looking around for her.
Corian kept walking, looking around for her.
After a while Phoenix was just walking around, still not in the training area, just walking around.
Corian kept an eye out for her.
Phoenix seemed to be thinking about something.
Corian spotted her. "Phoenix!"
Phoenix looked at him. "What?"
"Your sister wants you. For training." He replied.
"I'm not doing anything for these Games. I would never partake in something so cruel; it is against who I am," Phoenix said.
He snorted. "Right, right. The games are against a careers personality." He shook his head. "Which obviously means you don't have to do anything." He said sarcastically.
"You just don't understand. If I wanted to be in something like this, I'd be training right now," Phoenix said.
Corian snorted. "Right, right. I don't understand, because you're such a special snowflake career."
"You just don't get it! You don't know me! You've known me for a day! That's nowhere near long enough to know anything about me!" Phoenix surprisingly yelled. It was the first time she had raised her voice that much.
Corian shrugged. "That's true, i guess. But still. You're a career. Careers don't talk about how the games are "horrible" and "cruel"."
"You don't know my past. You don't know how my district works, how my family works, and what is expected of me by everyone," Phoenix said.
"Yeah? I'm the grandson of the goddamn president." Corian replied. "You think I don't know anything about pressure?"
"I mean with the Games. This was unexpected! You weren't meant to be sent here! It's happening because Panem is falling apart! Violence isn't going to fix anything! Adding more tributes will only add more anger to the people which will cause a crazy uprising and Panem is not lasting much longer! They led to their own demise with this idea!" Phoenix said.
He shrugged. "And that's a bad thing…how?"
"Violence! War! Death! Do you not understand?! I hate this violent country and the tradition of the Hunger Games, but if there's an uprising, it'll be even worse! I'm not living in a world where Panem is just even stricter and even more violent!" Phoenix said.
Corian sighed softly. "Yeah, well there's nothing to be done about it, so let's train. Okay?"
"I wish I could just leave this place and get everyone to calm down and stop this madness your family enforces as tradition!" Phoenix said.
Corian shrugged slightly. "Well, you can't. So you may as well make the best of it."
"Just know your family enforces this and it's their fault. None of us would be suffering if Panem was just run by people who aren't insanely stupid and love violence like your family!" Phoenix said as she then walked off.
Corian snorted, and rolled his eyes. "Right. Blame the fifteen year old for something that's been happening for 100 years. Because logic, right?"
Mia came out confused as to why no one returned. "Did you not find her?"
"Yeah, i found her all right." He snorted. "And got an earful."
