Kokichi walked closer, nestling the other as if he was still a dog
Shuichi wasn't entirely sure about what the other was doing, but he was a bit relieved that the other didn't decide to leave since he was rather awkward at the time. He did have to wonder if Kokichi was intentionally trying to embarrass him, though. He thought that maybe the other viewed it as some sort of game, which would explain why he had yet to leave as well as why he kept trying to get close.
"So…um, what are you doing…?" he asked after a moment, continuing to refuse to make eye contact. "Why'd you, well, suddenly take interest in me…?"
“You played fetch! It's like the nicest thing you could do!”
The answer provided a decent explanation for the current events, but it left a couple of things unanswered. It remained unclear to Shuichi why Kokichi even began to interact with him. He had been trying to get his attention for a while before their first true interaction, so he continued to wonder what sparked the desire to do so.
"Well, that's a good thing to note, but, um, before that, why were you following me?" he asked. "What made you want to do so?"
“ you attracted a meal, I haven't eaten in a few days actually..”
Shuichi was definitely surprised by the reason behind their interactions, but the main thing that he felt was concern. It worried him to hear that Kokichi hadn't eaten anything in the past few days. He knew that it was definitely unhealthy to go days without eating anything, so he hoped that the other was okay. Despite being starving, he noted that the werewolf appeared to be full of energy, although he wondered if he was genuinely energized or simply faking it to avoid creating concern.
"Well…maybe you should find something to eat," he suggested softly. "If need be, I could try to help you out. We may have just met, and, well, come to think of it, we don't even know each other's names, but I can't let you starve…"
“ kokichi ouma! “ he said happily
It seemed a bit strange that Kokichi could mention having problems and then completely disregard them immediately after. It was nice that Shuichi finally knew his name, but he was a bit concerned about the other's physical and mental health by that point. Even so, he was continuing to fall in love, and he wasn't sure why.
"Nice to meet you…" he said softly. "I'm Shuichi Saihara…"
“That's a lovely name,” kokichi said and shifted back, trotting at shuichis side
Shuichi was momentarily flustered by the comment, although he calmed a bit when the other shifted back. He remained rather embarrassed, but he calmed a little bit as he continued with his walk. He knew that Kokichi was with him, although he wasn't sure about how long the other intended to stay. He didn't mind, as he surprisingly enjoyed the company, but he still found it a bit strange that Kokichi seemed to like him as much as he did.
Though while the night grew on, kokichi grew tired. He whined softly at times when shuichi would walk to fast for him
Shuichi noticed that the other was whining and would slow down accordingly. He couldn't come to a complete stop since they weren't incredibly far from where he lived, so he hoped that Kokichi could last for a few minutes longer. If he could, then he would find himself at a place where he was welcome to rest and relax for as long as he needed to.
Kokichi tried to keep pace, eventually getting to what would be his new home
Shuichi smiled softly when he arrived home and saw that Kokichi was still following him. He hadn't been completely sure if the other would be able to make it back to his house, so it was a relief that he did. Now that they were at his house, Kokichi could have a place to stay. Shuichi would even offer to let him move in if he didn't have anywhere else to go.
"Well, this is my house," he said softly as he led the other inside. "I hope that you like it here because you can stay for as long as you need to, and yes, that means you can completely move in as well."
Kokichi nodded before flopping down and curling up to go to sleep
"If you don't mind walking for another couple of minutes, I could lead you to my bedroom," Shuichi told him softly. He didn't see why the other would have to sleep on the floor. "Really, I don't see why you couldn't sleep in my room. I don't mind it at all. As long as you're comfortable, then things are alright. I just want you to be comfortable."
Kokichi sighed softly, sitting up and following the other
Shuichi led Kokichi to his bedroom in silence. He was glad that the other was listening to him, as he really did want him to be comfortable. He was aware that the other was completely exhausted, so he hoped that getting some proper sleep in a comfortable bed would help him regain his energy. From their earlier interactions, he figured that Kokichi was actually very playful when not exhausted.
"Alright, you can sleep on my bed. I really don't mind," he said softly. "As long as you're comfortable, everything's fine. I just want you to sleep well."
Kokichi jumped up and curled up on the bed, whining softly when Shuichi didn't lay down soon after
Shuichi noticed that and sighed softly. He wasn't entirely sure why Kokichi was whining when he didn't lay down, but he figured that he just wanted his attention. For just meeting him, he sure seemed to enjoy his attention. It definitely left him confused, but he didn't mind. It was still a bit strange that anyone wanted his attention like this, but he would get used to it. He assured himself of that as he laid next to Kokichi.
"Alright, alright, I'm here," he said softly. "I'm not sure why you want me this much, but I don't mind. As long as you're happy and comfortable, it's fine."
Kokichi yipped happily, nestling into the other and closed his eyes. The werewolf was asleep in seconds, his body laying heavily against Shuichi's
Shuichi smiled softly as he noticed that Kokichi was asleep. He was aware that the other definitely needed to get some sleep, so he was glad that he finally was. He didn't mind staying there, either. As long as the other got some sleep, it would be fine. He found himself falling asleep not too long after, anyway. Once the next day came, he hoped that Kokichi would have more energy.
Kokichi was up at seven in the morning, bouncing around with the zoomies.
He ran in all directions with out stop, his ears pulled flat against his head as he zoomed about
Shuichi woke up a bit later, seeming to be a bit confused as to why Kokichi was running around, but he didn't mind. At least the other had his energy back. That was a good thing. Besides, he'd probably calm down from being so hyper eventually, so they'd still be able to spend the day together. However, Shuichi was going to give him some time to run around. Then they could talk.
Kokichi jumped in bed, mostly on top of Shuichi and barked happily
