((Totally cool bro!))
“I’m not doing anything.” Shou answered without hesitation, crossing his arms and looking to Osora. The girl in question pulled out her phone, typing quickly and waiting for a response before answering.
“Looks like I’m not working until tonight. My brother’s covering my shift. Yeah, I’m down.” She said, nodding as she continued to text.
Kat beamed and made a fist, raising it to the sky.
"Neat! I'll text my mom later today!"
After the day's 'festivities' were over, Aizawa stood at the front of the cozy homeroom class.
"Alright. I lied. Nobody gets expelled."
Kat spu around and faced Yusha and Tokino.
"Is he serious?" She whispered a bit too loudly, catching Aizawa's attention.
"Completely. It was nothing but a logical deception made to get you all to do your best. I'm looking forward to seeing how you all grow. Class dismissed."
“He reminds me of Old man Yamamoto.” Osora commented, standing and slinging her bag over her shoulder. Her hair was pulled back into a short ponytail, a few pieces hanging into her face, that she kept attempting to push away.
“Holy shit, you’re right.” Shou snapped his fingers, pointing at Osora with a grin. “God, could you imagine them fighting together?”
Kat stared blankly at her two friends.
"Don't mean to be nosy, but who's old man Yamamoto?" She tilted her head like a puppy.
The two shared a look, before Shou spoke. "You're not being nosy, don't worry. He's our friend's grandfather. But how about instead of telling you, we introduce you? We usually head over there after school anyway, the whole group. We're just split up into different high schools now."
The bubbly girl's eyes lit up.
"Wow, really! Sounds fun! I'll tell my mom and drop off my bag since I live super close, but I'll be back in a minute!"
And with that, Kat turned and sprinted off. After about 15 minutes, she had returned wearing different clothes and shoes al together.
"Okay ready!"
The sight Kat returned to was a weird one, to say the least.
Osora and Shou were outside, on a bench near the steps to the building. The latter was, for whatever reason, almost laying across Osora. Except he wasn't quite. Instead, she was benching his entire body, laying on her back on the bench and lifting him up and down with only minimal difficulty despite the fact that he was almost twice her size. Both were dressed in their street clothes, Osora in shorts, a muscle tank that looked like a skeleton, and her combat boots, while Shou was wearing a leather jacket, dark jeans and an entirely new pair of boots.
Kat stared for a moment, before bursting with bubbly laughter.
Her laugh, while almost contagious, was cut off by a sudden snort. Her face went emotionless as she brought her hands over her mouth. Her tan skin had a cherry hue.
"Oh my gosh, I'm sorry, that's so embarrassing," she squeaked a reply and forced an uncomfortable smile. Adjusting her t shirt (which was a skeleton doing a kickflip on a skateboard) and shorts, she fidgeted in a reserved manor.
Kat was rather self conscious of her laugh.
She cleared her through, which came out like a choking sound, and smiled normally again.
"Tokino, what'cha doing there?" She chuckled quietly in the middle of her sentence.
"Settling something." Osora answered, emotionless as ever as she benched her friend, who was on his phone. Shou looked over at Kat, grinning, lifting his phone in a wave. "I told her she was out of practice. She told me she could still bench me. Your laugh is cute." And with that, he resumed texting, only to let out a yelp as Osora tilted him and sent him crashing to the ground.
"And I won. Just because we didn't work out together all summer doesn't mean I wasn't working out. You were gone half the time on vacations, rich boy." Osora nudged him with the tip of her boots, before grabbing her bag from the ground next to the bench.
Kat stood and stared at Yusha. Her face turned rose red and she frantically covered it with her hands.
Stuttering out a response, she awkwardly sat next to Tokino and fanned her burning face.
"T-thanks." her response was spoken with a crack in her voice. "Yours is too."
Kat whispered the last one, but scratched the back of her neck and smiled.
