Name: Osora Tokino
Nicknames and Hero Name: Tokino, obviously, since that's what most people call her(tradition and all), Toki(reserved for friends and siblings). Undecided on her Hero Name.
Age: 16
Gender: Female
Sexuality: Pansexual, not really all that focused on romance right now.
Appearance: Naturally, her hair is pure white. She lets her older sister dye the tips black in a sort of dip dye/ombre type thing. It falls to around her shoulders, short, but just long enough to pull up into a short pony tail when she's training or something. About 5'3, smol but could kick your ass. Her weight shifts randomly, thanks to the constant loss of blood and bone, and then the replenishing, but she coasts at a bit below average, if you're looking for a close to definitive answer.
Put simply, her eyes are red. Less simply, they're usually a dark red that, in the right lighting, can almost pass for brown. It takes on a brighter and creepier red, with an almost sort of glow, when she's using her Quirk. Her skin is on the darker side of olive, and she's a mix of curvy and muscular that leans more towards the muscular aspect. It's a lean kind of muscle though, if that makes any sense. Covered in scars that stand out on her skin, from opening up her skin to draw blood, or pull bone. They're usually fairly small.
Often found with at least a few bandages/bandaids slapped over fresh cuts. Is never seen without heavy bags and dark shadows under her eyes.
Usual Clothing/Outfit:
Casual: Usually sticks to muscle tanks, and tank-tops in general. The more skin showing, the easier it is to draw blood or pull bone from underneath the skin. If she absolutely must, she'll toss on a zip up hoodie that's either black or red, easier to hide stains. Her favorite shirt is one her little brother got her, a black muscle tank with, full joke intended, a skeleton design on it, sort of emulating an x-ray of her spine and ribs. As mentioned above, the more skin, the better for Quirk use. Meaning, she tends to go with jeans shorts, often frayed, or ripped jeans. She's always preferred pants over skirts, though she might wear the occasional circle skirt if she's feeling it. Combat boots are her defacto choice in footwear, this worn pair of black boots her mother bought her. Her sister once replaced the laces of the left boot with red ones instead of black, and she's too busy to bother changing them back. Likes flip-flops as an alternative, strappy sandals if she's worried she'll run into trouble. Keeps either a drawstring bag or decent sized purse on her, and her ears are lined with piercings. Two silver studs on her right eyebrow, and is in the process of convincing her mother to let her get something a tongue stud. Doesn't wear a whole lot of jewelry otherwise.
Uniform: Wears the white button up tucked into her skirt, withe the top few buttons undone enough to make for quick and easy access to her skin when needed. When she isn't wearing the blazer/jacket, the sleeves are rolled up. When she is, the sleeves of the blazer are scrunched up. Though she would love to be able to wear the boy's slacks, she's cool with the plaid skirt the school offers, despite her accidental tendency to manage ripping them fairly often. Hero work, smh. Honestly, usually just her combat boots for footwear, except on special occasions at the school. Her tie is usually worn undone, though if a teacher asks, she probably will tie it. It'll only last for a bit though, before it's untied again.
Hero Outfit: A cropped and sleeveless hoodie, with muscle tank-esque sleeve holes. Mostly black, with red lining the hem of the hood,. Doesn't have any sort of brand or symbol yet, obviously. Black shorts, sorta split up the sides to allow access to her legs, but with red lacing to keep from, y'know, flashing the entire goddamn world. They're a sort of legging-like material, but a bit more sturdy. Shoe-wear is a sort of gladiator-style sandal but designed to be waaay better for movement, because we all know those damn things ain't. In black, obviously. Mask is simple and like an edgier(literally. more corners) version of Green Arrow's??? In red though.
Quirk & Drawbacks: Manipulation of blood and bone. She's never tried to to do it anyone else, so she's isn't sure if she even could, but is pretty sure she can't Her bones and blood replenish incredibly fast, meaning she can remove her own bones and fashion them into weapons, and they'll rebuild themselves. This does require energy, and she has to drink a shitton of milk and eat things like red meat, spinach, and beans to replenish those resources. With an incredible amount of energy, she can built 'zombies', creatures made from her blood and bones that are under her complete control, though not living.
Personality: Looks absolutely scary, despite her small size, to the point that people actively avoid talking to her when they can. Once you get to know her though, she's actually pretty fun to be around, and probably the best friend you'll literally ever have. Her moral compass often comes off as a roulette wheel, because it's hard to tell what is a definite 'not okay', but she's definitely got one. Somewhere. Incredibly loyal to the people she calls family, and if you break that trust, you're as good as dead in her eyes. She's been through a lot of shit, including bullying for a good part of her life, because her Quirk is often associated with something a Villain would have. That makes it hard for her to trust people, and has kind of given her an 'I don't really care' attitude about a lot of things, even if she actually does. Children absolutely adore her because she's funny, and open with them. Quotes Vines way more than she should, especially the 'He need some milk' one.
Backstory: I'm leaving this fairly vague, because she's actually still kind of in the works. She was born into a family of healers, and never knew her father. She says that it's better that way, especially considering how her mother got pregnant. None of her siblings really know who their fathers are, something that isn't anyone but the men's faults. Her home life, beyond those issues, was and is great, despite her mother's worry about the whole Hero thing. However, from the moment her Quirk came in, she's faced quite a bit of bullying and wariness, bordering on hostility, from other people. Her own classmates have always been the worst, and she's suffered some fairly traumatizing events courtesy of them, but has always managed to pull through. Most of the way, at least.
Likes: Kara-age, black coffee, writing, the convenience store her family owns, Ramune, milk, stargazing, knives, crows, and music. Loves the dark, especially nighttime dark. Has a weird love of clocks, and collects and fixes them up.
Dislikes: Bullies, the word 'moist', sleep, oysters, and dolls.
Fears: Dolls, after being attacked by a Villain that controls dolls and puppets. Extremely claustrophobic, to the point of it making her unable to function if she's stuck in a small space too long, weakening her compartmentalization skills.
Other: https://www.notebook.ai/plan/characters/818533#overview_panel This is her full sheet, and she's actually from a writing project of mine, but was easy to convert over to BNHA. Her best friends are Shou Yusha and Reeha Nakamura, the former of whom she meets at the entrance exams, and the latter of whom she's known for a few years.
Name: Sumisu Kyatto
Nicknames and Hero Name: Kat (for anyone) Kya-chan (for close friends), Spooky (for all friends), And her hero name is "The Reaper Hero: Saikaru"
Age: 15
Gender: female
Sexuality: bi
Appearance: She has short, dark brown hair that stops at her jawline. It's parted to the right and her bangs sweep to the left. She has big, dark brown eyes and a pair of rectangular glasses that seem to be perpetually crooked. Her skin tone is tan, as she spends most of her time in the sun, and she has a light dusting of freckles over her nose and cheeks. She has band-aids all over her arms, legs, and face due to her clumsiness. Kat's smile is somewhat mischievous. She has the stature of a ballet dancer, with an athletic but petite build, and a slight slouch.
Usual Clothing/Outfit: She wears a white t-shirt with black sleeves that is just big enough to hide her shorts, and a pair of uneven striped stockings. Her shoes are a beat up pair of red converse high-tops. She wears a headband with antennae often.
Hero Outfit: A body suit with a purple base and a black belt that holds medical supplies. Across her chest is a large black stripe split vertically into three, with the ones on either side going down her body and legs all the way to her tungsten knee-pads. The arms of her body suit stop at her elbows, and has a black stripe with two black rings around her biceps. She wears extra thick black gloves to keep the little crystal from getting hit. She has a black hooded cape to go with her outfit. Her boots are mis-matched, with one being purple with black laces and the other being black with purple laces. She wears a little knife holster on her left thigh.
Quirk: Scythe- She has a medium sized crystal in her right hand that allows her to summon a scythe at will. It is about 8 1/2 feet long with a tungsten blade and black steel handle wrapped in electrical tape to make holding it easier.
Drawbacks: Using her quirk too much will cause her to get carpal tunnel (intense hand cramps) and fatigue. It takes a lot of energy and strength to be swinging a huge scythe around lmao. Over use of her quirk results in her passing out her losing use of her hands for hours or days at a time.
Personality: She's a bit rude, but sweet after a while. She can be loud and blunt but means well. She loves spending time with her friends and will stand up for anyone who is being made fun of. She has strong beliefs and aims for being an awesome hero someday, giving everything her all.
Backstory: She was raised in a decent house hold, but both of her biological parents verbally and mentally abused her. She lived with her Step-mother and bio father for almost her entire life, nothing to cool. She drew a lot and as a result now sells her art for decent prices.
Likes: Sweet food, caring people, Cats, spooky things, snakes, Ramune, cappuccino, Cute things, the colour purple, drawing, roller coasters, cuddling, singing, cosplaying, voice acting, Homestuck, manga, baking, and writing.
Dislikes: rude people, bullies, forceful people, people who are entitled, People who try to force themselves upon others, control freaks.
Fears: Spiders, pitch black areas
Other: Lmao I kinda don't have an OC so I translated my own name and then described myself :P
Oooohhh, I like her! When and where should we start, and do you want me to?
We can start on like the first day of school maybe?? Like outside of the school. You can go first if you’d like :P
The day was nice, a pleasant breeze cutting through the warm air and making the tree branches sway slightly. The little buds along the branches unfurled just slightly in the sun, signifying it being close to cherry blossom season, and the festivals that came with. All in all, it was a nice aesthetic, like something straight out of a calendar.
Osora wasn't paying too much attention to that bit of the scenery though. Instead, she was gazing up at the front of the UA building, an eyebrow arched just slightly. So this was where she'd be spending the rest of her school years. Sure, she was already well aware of that, considering she had gone through the exams and everything, but it was still sort of….surprising. That she'd managed to get in at all. Her scores on both entrance exams hadn't been anything special, especially considering she's barely used her Quirk(though with good reason) for the simulation. But she'd gotten the letter anyway, and regardless of her less-than-average performance, she was here to make something of herself, something good.
Kat was in a rush.
She had slept in, missed breakfast, rushed to get ready (resulting in her tie not being tied) and she had to sprint to get to UA. It was a miracle that she lived close by.
When she received her acceptance letter, she cried. She hadn't expected to be let in due to the fact that she didn't exactly pass with flying colours on the written exam and barely got any robots on the physical exam.
She panted as she approached the gate of UA High. Placing her brush in her bag, she sighed in awe.
Kat was, for the most part, proud of herself. She had come a long way from the start. It took quite a bit of exercise and training to be able to wield an 8 1/2 foot long scythe, but she didn't mind.
Then a wave of anxiety washed over her.
"Holy crap, this school is huge!" She mumbled. "There's gonna be so many people here… I don't look presentable in the least! I can't tie my tie, my hair's a mess… I'm a wreck..!"
She continued to mutter and panic, accidentally bumping into the girl staring at the school in front of her.
She jumped back and screamed, waving her arms wildly.
"Oh my god, I am SO sorry!"
Osora, through some miracle, managed to keep the energy drink in her hand from falling and spilling everywhere, as she righted herself. "No worries, dude." She said, one pale eyebrow flicking up as she turned to look at the girl that had bumped into her. The studs in said eyebrow caught the light, drawing more attention to them and adding to her overall look of someone you didn't want to mess with. You know, despite the fact that she didn't mean to look like a Villain-in-Training. Dark bags under her eyes, the casual disregard for the uniform, and the scars littering all of the skin that was visible, which was quite a bit, all added to that vibe. "You good?"
Kat, quite shaken and full of anxious thoughts, managed to nod.
"Um, yea. Sorry for bumping in to you! I wasn't paying attention and I was lost in thought…"
She continues to mumble on about how she wasn't paying attention before bowing.
"Anyway, my name's Kat, but you can call me Spooky if you'd like. What class are you in?"
"1-A." Osora said, pausing to take a long drink from the can in her hand. Once again, she'd managed to get less than an hour of sleep, up all night doing vigilante work despite her sister's warning to get some sleep. "You?"
"Oh, same! Though, I'm not exactly sure how I got there." She awkwardly rubs the back of her neck.
"Um, not to be nosy or anything, but you look really tired… Are you okay?"
She regrets her choice of words almost immediately and waves her arms around frantically.
"W-Wait that sounded mean! I was just trying to… ugh." she places both of her hands over her face and screams into them before removing them and smiling awkwardly.
"Hi i'm Kat and I don't understand why I can't seem to speak like a normal person." She extends her arm out. "You?"
Osora let out a snort at that, obviously not too concerned or offended, despite her general lack of emotion. "Tokino Osora, a pleasure. You're good, and right." She said, taking the offered hand and giving it a firm shake. "Sleep isn't a thing that comes easy to me, hence the tiredness."
She laughs a little, covering her mouth with her hand. "Wish I didn't relate. I have really bad insomnia, so when I do fall asleep, I end up sleeping in and missing my alarm. Wanna walk to class?" She asks, jabbing her thumb in the direction of the school.
"That'd be pretty useful for being on time." She deadpanned, winking as she turned back to the school. She glanced back over her shoulder, jerking her head slightly in question. "Let's go. Something tells me you'll be late enough every other day, you don't need that on the first day."
She stares blankly at Tokino, then blinks a few times and smiles, making fists at her waist (I don't know how to describe it but like that little excited thing when you make fists and kinda hold them out..). "Yea! Thanks!" She runs forward and enters UA High with Tokino.
(Btw happy 4th of July!)
((Happy 4th yourself!))
Osora didn't have a problem navigating the halls, glad she'd thought to look over the map she'd asked for the other day. In fact, she had committed the entire thing to memory, giving herself a perfect map in her own mind. "So. What made you decide you wanted to be a hero?"
((Btw….should Aizawa still be the homeroom teacher, or would he have retired d'you think? If so, should it be a canon or just randomly made teacher?))
((I think a canon teacher :P))
“Oh… Well, I dunno. I’ve always loved heroes, so I kinda just thought that if I was one then everyone would love me too. I have a hard time making friends. Haha….” She rubs the back of her neck and smiles.
“You?”
"A lot of little things." She said, her unnerving eyes flickering over to Kat. "And a lot of big things. My family and revenge are at the top of that list, completely unrelated." She snorted wryly, tucking her free hand into one of the pockets she'd convinced her grandmother to sow into the uniform skirt, before downing the rest of the energy drink in one go and tossing it into a recycling bin as they passed it.
“Wow… You sure are a lot cooler than me!” she says, admiring Tokino.
“I’m actually kinda glad I ran into you… I don’t know the school at all and I would probably be late… Anyway, what do you like to do?” Her eyes are glinting with a curious sparkle
"I really wouldn't say cool." She said, arching an eyebrow just slightly. "But it's good you ran into me, to keep from getting lost." Osora turned her gaze forward once more, her hair shielding her face somewhat. "What exactly do you mean by that, 'what do you like to do'?"
"Like, Hobby wise. I'm an artist, and most of my time spent outside of training and studying consists of doing commissions for needy people. Sometimes when I don't have any commissions I like to just chill with my cat or go to the mall."
She lightly fidgets with her necklace, her happy smiling falling for a split second. Kat shakes her head lightly and smiles once more. Realizing they had arrived at their destination, she looks up at the huge door for class 1-A.
"Oh gosh… This door is huge."
Osora was fine with having reached their destination, just slightly relieved at not having to share too much. Kat was nice, but nice could always go south quickly, so it so it was usually better to keep secrets, no matter how small. "It's a very large door." She said in agreement, the words having the potential to be a joke, but not quite the right tone. She was confusing, for sure. And then she pushed the door open unceremoniously, shooting a small smile at Kat.
1-A's classroom was just a bit larger than the normal classroom you'd find at a normal highschool, in part because it was a homeroom, and part because this was a school for heroes. The desks were set up in neat rows, and most of them were filled with students either chatting, or doing other things, though a few small groups were scattered around the room. Osora payed no attention to the eyes that flickered up and lingered on her, motioning for Kat to follow as she headed straight towards the back, where a boy with black and yellow hair was sitting alone. "Long time no see, Honeycomb."
"Do you ever give it a rest with those nicknames?" He shot back, raising an eyebrow at the slightly unsettling girl. His eyes landed on Kat, and he nodded in greeting. "Hello."
Kat followed Tokino inside the classroom, not paying any attention to the details just yet. She trotted after Tokino over to a male who greeted her.
"Oh! Hi." She bowed to him. "My name's Sumisu Kyatto, but you can call me Kat."
Kat gently ran a hand through her side swept bangs, sighing as she surveyed the class. There weren't too many people, but definitely enough to make it difficult for her to breathe due to anxiety. She laughed uncomfortably and walked to the front of the room to scan the seating chart list. A bit surprised, she walked back over and took a seat in front of 'Honeycomb'.
"Look at you, making friends already. It's a miracle." The boy said teasingly, straightening slightly in his seat as Kat sat back down. His arms stayed crossed over his chest, displaying a decent amount of muscle. "Powerdrill missed you. I think you've managed to take my place as her favorite person."
Osora snorted, plopping down in the seat beside his without bothering to check the seating chart. "I have a naturally inviting disposition. And of course she loves me, she's stuck with you all day." As she spoke, a small honeybee landed on Kat's desk, buzzing slightly before making itself comfortable. "Hey, Kat, this is Yusha." The name would likely be familiar, as it belonged to one of the wealthiest families in Tokyo, the Yushas.
Her eyes widened, nearly yelling.
“Y-Yusha?!” Kat stood abruptly before getting weird looks and sitting back down. “Mow… Must be nice! My family isn’t exactly rich…. hahah…” she rubbed her neck and smiled. “It’s nice to meet you!” She glances at the honeybee and smiles.
Kat’s bangs fell into her face. Annoyed, she blew on them, but they kept falling. She sighed, frustrated because she was making a fool of herself, and dug around in her bag. She pulled out a small metal headband and pulled all of her hair out of her face and back, making it look like the wind had blew it back. She smiled nervously.
