((Now I'm sad!))
She was out of things to say, out of things to even do, except to squeeze his hand. That same spark of determination to keep both of them alive sparked in her eyes, stronger this time. She'd never cared too much about her own well-being, but she refused to put him through that again. "I always hated that game."
Duncan allowed himself to let out a snort, shaking his head with a small grin. "It's an accurate storytelling of my life."
(I'm good as sad backstories made up on the fly, sorry)
((rUDE. I'm emotionally fragile why you gotta do me like this))
"Question is, were you more a red guy or a blue guy?" Cassie joked, albeit weakly.
"Blue always suited me better," he admitted, wiping a single tear from his left eye with his right hand.
(My computer randomly shut down ;-;)
((Sorry! I was taking an exam! Also wth?))
She looked down at her lap, tugging her free hand through her hair. "Red was my go-to, when I was dragged into playing."
"Looks like we're mortal enemies, then." He seemed to have reverted back to his normal self now.
(So what if the Jaeger teams are, like, ranked based on popularity by the world population as a way to boost moral during the fights, and Alabama jumps up to, like 9th or some shit)
"The ol' red v. blue rivalry. Tale as old as time." She shook her head, pointing a finger pistol at him and pretending to fire. "Never ends."
((They become insta-celebs))
Duncan stuck his tongue out in response. "Blue is the best."
((Sksksk he just said red was the best?))
(oofies, got the colors mixed up)
"Is not." Cassie exclaimed, faking offense. While she was fond of blue, due to it's connections with the ocean, she'd always preferred red. "Red is so much cooler!"
((It happens lmao))
"Blue always wins," he said with a snort. He really didn't care either way, but the distraction from his past was welcome. He had a feeling that this wouldn't be the last time they'd talk about this, however. Cassie wasn't the type to give up something like this easily. She would want to know more than the little inkling he just gave her.
(I hope my judgement on your character is right ;-;)
(Should we timeskip to when they walk into their room? The docking and exiting the Jaeger is a lot to type and I don't have the strength)
((I'm here! And yeah the judgement is pretty spot on. She's a dumbass. Skipping works for meeee))
"Fucking Titan," Duncan mumbled as he placed is hand against the panel beside the door, unlocking it with his hand.
"Home sweet bullshit," he said as they walked into their room. Their two beds rested at each corner of the room, their spaces separated by a line of electrical tape Duncan had put in place nearly 3 years ago for his 3rd partner. His side was bland and boring, completely without decoration unless you count the tablet resting on his bed.
((These two are complete opposites and I'm loving it.))
Cassie let out a snort, making a beeline straight for her bed. To put it simply, her side of the room was a complete mess. Clothes, and various makeup items were strewn about, and what looked like a violin case stood propped against the wall, holding a very well-loved fiddle. "If it's got a bed, it's great." She said, flopping down on her stomach.
He walked over to bis bed and sat down, nudging the tablet aside and beginning to untie his shoes. "Very true."
(What if he starts watching the video of the fight that Rose died and Cassie walks over to see it and he starts crying)
