@heeey-bitchhhhhhhhhhh
Rantaro smiled and held the other close to him. He hoped that the other would fall asleep soon.
Rantaro smiled and held the other close to him. He hoped that the other would fall asleep soon.
Kaito did, yawning softly first
Rantaro held Kaito close as he slept, and after a while, Rantaro fell asleep himself. He slept through the night as he held Kaito close, waking up the next morning and waiting for the other to wake up.
Kaito woke up slowly, running a high fever
Rantaro looked at Kaito once he woke up. "Morning, love," he said softly. "How are you feeling? Better? Worse?"
Kaito shrugged, quickly regreting it as he shot up and to the bathroom
"Oh…that can't be good…" Rantaro sighed softly. "Baby? You okay in there? Do you need anything?"
Kaito he'd been puking
“ a- a drink?”
Rantaro nodded. "I'll get you some water, love. Just hold on a sec, 'kay?" he asked softly before going to get Kaito some water. Once he did, he entered the bathroom. "Okay, baby, I have some water for you. Drink it when you can, but not too quickly. I don't want you to make yourself puke again."
Kaito took a few drinks, shakily standing
"Are you okay to stand on your own?" Rantaro asked softly. "Love, you're getting worse. I can tell…"
“ I'm fine taro..” he whispered before trying to walk
Rantaro quickly grabbed Kaito. "No, no you're not," he sighed softly as he put his hand on the other's forehead. "You're a lot warmer than yesterday… I'm gonna take your temperature; I'm worried that it's really high…"
Kaito swayed a bit in the others arms “a- alright..”
Rantaro sighed softly as he took the other's temperature. "Okay…I know you don't want to do this, but you really need to go to the hospital…" he said softly. "You can barely stand, even as I steady you, and you have a really high, wait, no, a dangerously high fever…"
“ fine.. I'll go..” he whispered
Rantaro nodded and picked Kaito up. "I'll take you there."
“ thank you..”
Rantaro shook his head. "No need. I just wanna help you out," he replied softly, seeming to be calm despite the severity of the situation.
As he took Kaito to the hospital, Rantaro continued to appear calm and collected. He whispered reassurances to Kaito the entire way there, wanting the other to feel safe and secure. He knew that Kaito hated hospitals, so he wanted to keep him calm and allow him to feel safe. Even as they arrived, he felt safe.
"A doctor will be here shortly. I'll go back with you if I can, okay?" Rantaro told him softly. "It'll be okay…"
“ Okay.” kaito said worriedly from under the blankets. He could feel his head spinning as he looked around
"You're really not doing well, huh?" Rantaro asked softly. "Just relax… You'll feel better soon… The doctors will figure out what's wrong and get you started on some medicine, and you'll start feeling better soon after…"
He remained calm the entire time that they waited for a doctor to see Kaito. He was calm and collected, assuring Kaito that things would get better. After a little bit, a doctor came to see Kaito. Rantaro asked if he could accompany Kaito, though he was told that he could not since things seemed bad. He sighed softly as they left with Kaito, leaving alone to his growing and slightly overwhelming feeling of anxiety.
Kaito faded in and out of awareness, the temperature getting to him
Rantaro noted that as he saw the doctor leave with Kaito. Once he was completely alone, he couldn't help but pace, his anxiety slowly beginning to overwhelm him. His lover was potentially dying, and he couldn't do anything to stop it. He gradually began panicking as time passed, unable to calm down as he cried. He texted a friend about it, but he didn't even know who, as he wasn't paying attention. He just needed someone to be there for him.
Kokichi got the text and immediately went to help
By the time that Kokichi arrived at the hospital, Rantaro was on the verge of having a full on panic attack. He was standing there, shaking, crying, and hyperventilating. Things were not looking too good for him. The anxiety that he usually kept under control during stressful situations became so overwhelming that he couldn't take it anymore. He let it consume him, leaving him close to a panic attack.
