His head snapped back to the Wendigo. "I'm not sure what I can do to help. Do you guys have this?" He ducked under a wild slash.
His head snapped back to the Wendigo. "I'm not sure what I can do to help. Do you guys have this?" He ducked under a wild slash.
Alice charged up and carefully shot a bolt of lightning the color of warm blood at the Wedingo, making it stumble back.
It roared again, slashing at Alice with blinding speed.
Alice looked at runner, "we might i don't know." she said "i mean, i've taken on deities but this seems… different"
oof))
The claw went right through… but she was okay. A non-physical clone?
"Smart cookie. It's heart isn't in its chest. Someone has it and is controlling it's thoughts."
"This one's (clone)) getting weak" she said "The clones can only do so much before they run out of Mana. Might have to come her for real."
"Just keep it busy while I find this fucker."
The strange figure sighed, noticing how much trouble the group was having with the beast. Ever slowly, he started to make his way, covering the distance in a slow, deliberate pace. The single eye seen starts to glow an even brighter red. Yet he seems to barely make a sound as he continues his slow approach. Seemed the beast hadn't noticed him yet, which was completely fine.
A strange, dark energy seemed to flow from the male's form. A heavy pressure settled around him, the red orb for an eye glowing even brighter, a black slit pupil was barely seen in the vast red of his gaze.
"Alright, i guess"
Alice starts to mumble something under her breath. She opens her eyes and they're glowing violently. She reaches out with both hands and traps the Wedingo in a box of solid light.
"Hurry up I won't be able to do this for long. This body can't handle this kind of stress."
Just then, a random flash of light emitted from the ground directly in front of the Wendigo. When it dispersed, a girl sat in its place, clad in nothing but an oversized tank top and pajama shorts and serious bedhead, made even worse with her cloud of dark curls. Burns covered an entire arm and speckled the left side of her face, and scars littered her entire body. She blinked up at the Wendigo in confusion
"Huh."
By this time, Trouble and the others are deep in conference, muttering in their native tongue.
At last, Stardew glances over to Runner. "Can we hem it in with silver and then attack it from there?"
The figure paused, seeing the sudden box of light. Following forth was several more of that group returning to the aid of the first few. The glow from his red eye started to die down again, the once dark, menacing energy that had been coming from the cloaked male started to fade. Seemed the situation was starting to settle down again, if you could call it 'settling down', and he wouldn't have to intervene.
The girl scrambled back from the screaming Wendigo, skin scraping against the ground and leaving golden blood
"Why the hell am I back here, and why is there a Wendigo in a light box!?"
"As to the first question, we don't know," Foxglove said, "and for the second question, we're trying to kill it."
She got to her feet and continued to back up towards the group. The metal armband around her upper-arm transformed into twin double-sided daggers, which she gripped in each hand. "Kinda figured as much." Her grip on the daggers tightened. "I have a feeling this one's different than the ones we used as target practice. Look less beastly."
Alice's struggle began to become quite obvious. The muscle in her arms started cramping and her whole body started shaking.
"If you lot don't bloody think of something fast"
Well, so much for them having a 'handle on things'. The figure once again started his approaching. Though the dark energy remained around him, he didn't show any hostility whatsoever. The cloaked male came to rest near a tree, his single eye staring outwards towards the small group.
He could hear the enraged snarls of the wendigo, see the beast struggling to break free from the prison. Unlike the others around who seemed to be scared by the creature, the strange individual showed, nor held such fear. He remained silent for several moments, then finally spoke, his voice soft and muffled behind the mask covering his mouth.
"Is it truly that difficult to deal with a lowly beast?"
His voice was monotone, having no emotion. The cloaked figure's red eye glinted to the one who currently held the beast in place. Without any hesitation, he spoke again.
"Lower the walls, and I shall deal with it swiftly…or if you wish to strain yourself further, I will not stop you. It is usually not even in my place to appear or even help with situations such as this."
The girl blinks at Alice. "Oh, right." She leapt forward into the light box and climbed up the thrashing Wendigo, wrapping her legs firmly around the thing's head. She stabbed her arm, letting golden blood gush out the wound, and spilled it into the creature's mouth and body. It swung a claw at her. She jumped off the Wendigo just in time and ran back. "Fire! Light that bastard up!" She shook off her already healing arm. "Ichor's highly explosive and can burn through incompatible bodies when ingested."
Alice released the spell from the Wendingo.
"thank god" she sighed, falling over and dissipating.
The girl's weapon transformed into a bow this time, and she muttered something as she pulled back the seemingly empty bow. When she released, a shimmering red, not-quite-solid, arrow flew towards the charging Wendigo. As soon as it hit a spot of ichor on the creature, a huge explosion enveloped it. She lowered her bow warily. "Is it dead?"
(What did I miss imao)
The figure sighed as the situation swiftly escalated. The one girl leapt right into the box with the wendigo, then jumped back out. Afterwards, the walls were let down and he was about to make his move, when the same girl transformed her weapons into a bow. He watched as the female drew the string back, notching the arrow, then letting it fly. Fire swirled upwards as smoke rose from the place where the beast had once been.
His monotone voice broke the silence, "It is most likely not dead. Though it will have been severely injured by the flames. However, it will most likely be back to take its revenge on those who have nearly killed it."
"No. Find it's heart or it'll just regenerate." As he spoke, the pieces slowly began moving towards the others, as if a light breeze was rolling them.
