Which of your characters is easiest to write, and which is hardest?

My easiest is Sam because she's basically just my inner monologue with a tragic backstory. My hardest is either a master criminal named Casey or a tech genius named Lila. They're both super smart and super clever and it takes me forever to write them.

Cassia is definitely my hardest. She's so emotional and such a deep thinker about every little thing that she experiences. And she's mute which makes conveying everything in her head truly a challenge that I love.

My easiest is a toss between Natasha (who is pretty much a dead, sassier version of me), Enyo (because she's been with me for SO long), and Tenzo (who pretty much writes himself)

@Wishy-Washy_Kinda_Squashy

My easiest character to write would be Mandy, and the reason for this is that I based her feelings, her inner monologues, her actions, etc on what I feel and do. And my hardest would probably be (so far) her sister, Ivory. Ivory is so upbeat and happy, but it's just hard to write somebody so bubbly and fun. I'm having a hard time with her, but she's honestly my favorite to write (she gives me a challenge).

I'm not really sure who my easiest is. Maybe Dallas? We kind of have similar personalities, and just kind of have a lot in common in general. Andor is also another close contender. We don't really have much in common, I never have to think too hard about what he'll say or do in any given situation because anything goes with him. Caleb and (surprisingly) Crispin also come pretty naturally to me as well.

Ara is definitely my hardest one though. He's way smarter than I'll ever be and I feel like that's all I really need to say about that. I've only just written him into the story so I haven't had too many problems yet, but it's only a matter of time.

@saor_illust school

easiest probably isobel, even though she's among one of my first ones, i haven't used her enough

hardest? probably elara, mostly because her struggle with her illness isn't something i can really relate to, nor can i really research it.

Just narrowing it down to one story, my easiest is probably Kineta–she's fun, straightforward, doesn't have any secrets to juggle or complex magical powers, and I'm not vague on her personality or mannerisms at all.
My hardest to write at the moment might be either Melanie or the main villain (who thankfully only plays a minor part in this story). Melanie because she does have secrets and a multilayered personality, plus she's the mc but I've been struggling to make her relevant to the plot this entire time. T.T And the main villain because I can't decide whether I want him to be a cheery, eccentric goofball with a hidden dark side, or vise versa. Hopefully I'll figure him out before I've written myself into a corner X'D

@ElderGod-Icefire

God– my easiest is probably Nyx? Just a happy bubbly lil cyborg boy. He's so cute and fun and just,,, easy

My hardest? Fuck, that's definitely Ryker. He's so…dark. Like his backstory is so dark and he's so quiet and ugh. Not an easier character to write

@Althalosian-is-the-father book

I don't write enough and am counting RPs.

Hmm. I like to work with Zol. He's so focused, even when he's conflicted. He sticks to what he thinks is right no matter how weary he is.
Gaius is nice. I love him. It's really great getting to let him express himself. It's hard to describe him. He's shy but open, non-confrontational but willing to fight if need be.
I like thinking like Silas. In a way he's very like me; casually cynical and always watching everyone.

Soáki is difficult. It's hard to get just the right mix of angsty cynicism and innocent ignorance.
Daniella can be harder. I can't feel her very well. I know what she's like, but I can't see her full character I guess.
Same with Kaiman.

@HighPockets group

I can't feel her very well. I know what she's like, but I can't see her full character I guess.

That's the problem I've got with a few of mine. It's like "what are you keeping from me?"

@Oakiin

Hardest:

  • Dakota, because they aren't very expressive, and so it can be REALLY hard to show them actually having a personality, WHICH THEY DO I SWEAR and I want people to know and love them as much as I do, but that'll only work if I figure out HoW To wRiTE TheM
  • Titan, when not in his POV, because he's mute. Cannot talk, and barely makes any facial expressions. Unless the character I'm POVing knows him really well, he's like a blank wall
  • Carson, because he has anxiety. I also have anxiety, but I for some reason have no idea how to write anxiety, plus he's a bit grey as a character and very underdeveloped.
  • Gemma, because she's like, 3 months old, and I have no idea how children work

Easiest:

  • Ram, because I've been writing him for like, two years now, and I know this man better than he knows himself, lemme just say. He's been my main through three whole books, and he's literally the most real feeling of any of my characters. He's like a best friend.
  • Osric, because of similar reasons to Ram. He's a jerk and loves it but I know you better than that, you lil trash spider, get that tookus over hear and have emotions
  • Fire, because he's an opinionated kitten, and I own one of those
  • Briose, because she's a sassy cat, and I own one of those also
  • Corgle Dude, whose sole purpose in life is to video chat their corgle, and whoes sole purpose in my stories is to not be paying attention to the security cameras they're supposed to be watching, therefore allowing grand escapes

@TheLonePaladin group

My hardest character is probably NEmeSiS, due to his cold, calculating and extremely smart, yet kind, and caring, yet random, sporadic, and crazy. He has a really screwed up personality(or would it be robotanality)?

@-ellia-cant-think-of-a-username- group

Easiest: Probably Jordan, because I kinda based him off of somebody I know irl. He's also from a short story (and an RP) so I didn't need to work with him that much. Buttt I'm planning to expand the short story and maybe eventually make it into a novel so this might change
Hardest: Caenya, a "goddess" from a completely different universe than Jordan. She used to be pretty low-key and sweet, but after her significant other died she became very emotional and, frankly, insane. She's also the Goddess of Knowledge, so she basically knows everything. It's difficult to come up with situations where she couldn't just give an answer to the problem and leave.

Easiest is probably Ruby, she was the first and I've spent more time with her than most. She's fun she says what she's thinking and does what she wants.
Hardest, Columbine. She's nice. She always puts others first. Its hard to write about that when you would really rather have her just leave and let them deal with it themselves.

@kingnocedas group

i think kacey is the easiest, because she's my first oc and she's basically like me.
my hardest is probably yannika because she's the opposite of kacey and she's such a complex antagonist idk how to put her story into words.

@stolenbrocoli group

I think my hardest character to write might be Danica because she's probably my most complex. she has so many different sides to her that writing her and making everything flow well is just difficult. my easiest might be Garret. he's not necessarily one dimensional, but he's just not that complicated either. his goals and personality are clear set so it makes things much easier.
