I really think we need some more character discussion threads so here's a self explanatory thread. Just share some dumb situations that your characters have found themselves in.

@Cassiopeia

This is more something dumb a character did, rather than something that happened to them…
One of my characters was about three years old when he stuck M&Ms in his ears because he wanted to hear them talk like they did in the commercials. His 'dad' freaked out because he had no idea how to get them out and that's how his kid got grounded from eating M&Ms ever again.

That counts as well :D But your post made me laugh because reminded me of this one time when my brother was like 5 he put a quarter in the CD player in my mom's car because he wanted to see if it would play music. We were never able to get it out. Kids are so weird.

My brother did something similar when he was younger; he tried to put what I believe was a PSP cartridge into our Wii because he wanted to play the game but we didn't have it on the Wii. It got stuck and we had to get a new Wii .-.

Alternatively, one of my characters ended up stranding himself on the roof of his and his roommates' house because he tossed something up there. He had left his phone inside, so it was a good twenty minutes before they came home and got him down.

One of my characters has the issue that she changed her name and identity after she committed a Really Big Crime. Later, she meets one of the victims of the crime and becomes friends with him - only for him to eventually hire her to hunt down her previous identity.

I have a character with a famous parent and his crush is a big fan of that parent. So he got his dad to autograph a piece of paper to give to his crush, and the crush is now trying to figure out how the frick he got an autograph because the famous guy REFUSES to give anyone autographs.

One of my characters insults a creature best summed up as a big snake possibly kilometres long, but luckily is saved by another one of the characters. Woo. Their entire story almost got ended there, by the snake god. You'd think he'd be smart enough to know not to insult something that has lived for millions of years and could eat a village in one-two bites, but no.

One of my favourite things that happens in my story is when Kit's father thinks he's dying. Kit and Gerard come in with an antidote that's supposed to cure him, but Matthew has just accepted the fact that he's dying and basically gives this death bed confession to Kit. The whole time Kit is like "Thanks for telling me all this, but you're not dying," but Matthew doesn't really believe him. Long story short, the antidote worked and Matthew pretty much has to deal with the fact that Kit knows this thing about him now, which he wasn't really counting on since he genuinely believed that he was going to die and wouldn't have to deal with the consequences.

Another fun thing about Matthew is that it's heavily implied that he deliberately destroyed a portrait of his father when no one was looking. He totally did too.

Back when she was young, before the brain-washing, Val climbed to the highest point of the castle that she could. She then proceeded to spend the entire day and night up there without much of a reason, because she could very easily get down, and was only discovered after one of the guards spotted her.

My main character, Em, could have gotten away from her kidnapper but he told her that there were crooked cops after them so she stayed with him. IDK if this is what you mean. Also once she was wearing a dress and she tripped and flashed everyone in a banquet hall.

So after Oberon and Titania are freed, Vivian and Iam fill them in on the Oleander situation, what he's been doing, his nicknames, etc.
And one of his nicknames is King of Shadows, and Oberon flips out because Oleander tried to kill him and then had the sheer audacity to steal one of his titles.

@Knight-Shives group

Luna ran into a kingdom to fight and kill their king. She had no back up. The king's guards were ready for her and an army which was no one. The kingdom she ran into has a tyrant king who killed all who had powers in his walls.

@Simon-Says

My character keeps pulling this Percy Jackson crap and sassing super-powerful deities. From her point of view, it seems like righteous ander, but from literally anyone else's, it's like are you trying to die.

@Yamatsu

This is something that my dumb character did in an RP:

Villainess has a poisonous sword.
MC has the ability to breathe fire and Earthbend.
Takes sword away from villainess.
Decides to flex on her by destroying her weapon.
Breathes fire to cleanse sword of poison.
Then decided to EAT. The SWORD.
CRUNCH! Munch, munch, munch, ppbbbth!
"You idiot! That sword was forged in poison!"
"That's not how that works at all! Either you coat it often or you're lying!"
"It was forged by a goddess, of course it works that way!"
"Well, I think you're full of SHIT!"
Proceeds to fall unconscious and hit the floor like a sack of bricks.

@Starfast group

Bumping this thread because I can't stop thinking about how one of the major plot points in the series I'm working on involves Gerard accidentally making an antidote for a poison that doesn't even exist.

@HighPockets group

Uhhh Robin does a lot of weird and/or dumb stuff because they're immortal and have magic powers. So they do things like eat handfuls of toxic berries because they taste good and watch others look on in horror.
