Parvus: He trots over to Salmook and stares at him for a second, then lightly bats his hand.
Parvus: He trots over to Salmook and stares at him for a second, then lightly bats his hand.
Rhiv: it takes him a few beats to understand what's going on, since he can't see much of anything. Salmook's awake? Rhiv is half-tempted to jump down and put Salmook back to bed, but there's a good chance he'd land on Salmook. besides, Tseth might get a little snippy at him, too. Rhiv settles back down on the branch, listening in for the time being.
Salmook: he nudges Parvus away, shaking his head. Salmook looks back up at Tseth and shrugs. "I don't know. I'm so-" he takes a deep breath as if he's about to yell, but he decides against it. "…bored. What do you do when you can't sleep?"
(He doesn’t)
(quiet he doesn't know-)
(Sleep is for the weak)
Tseth: He sits down next to Salmook, looking at him. “I rarely ever do sleep, kid. The joys of being an insomniac.” He looks up at Rhiv again.
Parvus: He looks at Tseth, then jumps onto his shoulder and smacks him in the face.
(Parvus is like “bitch you better get some sleep”)
Rhiv: he meets Tseth's gaze and narrows his eyes - it's not like Tseth can see it anyways. "Still here."
Salmook: maybe it's the sleeplessness, maybe it's just that surprising. whatever it is, Salmook makes a face like he's just seen a tree get up and walk away. "You don't? Wow, wow, wow-" he's taken aback for a moment before he throws a clump of grass at Parvus. "Bad Parvus, don't be mean."
(>:0 /j)
(Bold of you to assume he can’t)
Tseth: He quietly laughs at Salmook. When Rhiv responds he stands up, going over to Rhiv’s tree. “Good. Now get down and take care of your son. I’ll take over from here.”
(No response to getting smacked by Parvus)
(I forgot so just assume he gets glared at before he gets smacked in the face with grass)
(ok)
Parvus: He hisses at Salmook and bats the grass away, then huffs and curls up on Tseth’s shoulder.
Rhiv: damn it, he should've stayed quiet. he looks down at Tseth. "I'm fine up here, really." it can't be that late, can it? Rhiv's internal clock has been off since the moment he got here. anyways, if it wasn't for Resh and Juni's light, it'd be pitch black out, and he'd love to not break someone or something coming down. "I'm not senile, Tseth."
Salmook: he can't see up into Pater's tree, but Salmook can hear him. "Pater? I can't sleep! I'm bored."
Tseth: He sighs at Rhiv. “Never said you were. Switch me out in a couple more hours if you’re so stingy about it.” He doesn’t wait for Rhiv’s response before he flies up to the branch next to Rhiv. He speaks in a volume Salmook can’t hear. “And maybe you should take care of your kid and help him sleep. You’d know how to do that better than I would.”
Parvus: He digs his claws into Tseth’s shoulder a bit when he flies up to the tree, chittering indignantly.
Rhiv: he crosses his arms at Tseth, speaking in the same low tone. "Well he was so comfy-cozy with you few last night. Surely you know more than you're letting on?" he shakes his head dismissively. "He'll be fine. I've been on watch for longer nights."
(Bro just take care of your son 💀)
Tseth: He glares at Rhiv. “The other night he wasn’t a walking ball of energy. Be a father and take care of him. He’s even asking for you. He might be fine, but taking care of a kid isn’t all about making sure they survive.” He looks down at Salmook for a moment before returning his gaze to Rhiv. “Get him to sleep, and then you can come back up here and kick me out of this tree for all I care.”
(Just skip me for now,)
Rhiv: oh-ho-ho, so now Tseth wants to judge him? he leans against the trunk, barely hiding a scowl. "He's fine. You don't know him like I do." Rhiv looks back down at Salmook. "He figures himself out all the time. Salmook knows what he's doing."
Tseth: He puts on a false smile towards Rhiv, before shifting his gaze to Salmook. “Kid, do you want Rhiv down there with you?” This is a terrible idea. Funny though.
Parvus: He huffs at Rhiv and lashes his tail. He looks over at Tseth and chitters at him, hopping a little.
