Nori: laughs you don’t know anything.
Nori: laughs you don’t know anything.
Wren: Then, your mother died that night.
Nori: laughs again I’m not the same copy and paste character like everyone else here. Just stop. Please.
Wren: Fine.
Wren has left the chat
Nori: f-fine. Leave me alone. Tell me I was never supposed to be here. Like he did. more tears start to roll down his face, as he walks away from everyone else
Wren: Faintly You wanted me to leave. I did. Now what? You want me back. Nuh-uh. It ain't happening. You are here for a reason, Noriaki. But I can't help you find that reason if you don't help yourself. I guess this is good-bye.
Nori: sobbing, having nothing to say …o-okay. You’re right. I don’t deserve your help. Just go before I hurt you any more
Wren says something else, faintly, but the wind tears the words away
A wailing keen splits the air, one of heartbreak and lament; not a sound Wren could have made, but a sound from something, someone, else
Nori: looks up from the ground, searching for the song of heartbreak that rode through the wind, that screamed at him for attention
The sound fades on the wind, and whatever force had caused it is clearly gone; however, not without a gift to Nori
Valerie has joined the chat, unconscious on the ground not too far away from Nori
Nori: closes his eyes, the sound wisting away from memory, as he turns to search for the source. There, distant from where he stood, laid Valerie.
Oh my god… a-are you okay?? he says, approaching them cautiously, kneeling to better examine the still form
Valerie: Her eyes slowly open; they are completely white: no pupils or irises. She sits up, slowly Wh-where am I? Who are you?
Nori: hands up, showing himself as approachable as possible. He speaks in a calm, hushed tone, smiling faintly. Hey, it’s okay. It’s alright. You’re safe. he sets his hands on the ground, keeping eye contact with her. My name is Nori. I’m here to help you.
Valerie: Confused O-okay… but, where am I? Her head turns, her translucent hair catching the fading sunlight and turning into a rainbow of colors, her eyes getting the same effect
Nori: Smiles, admiring the otherworldly glow. Im… not really sure. A safe place, though. A lot of people have come here to escape. You're safe.
Valerie: Relieved, but still confused O-okay… my name is Valerie… but just call me Val for short. Gets up, her simple linen dress fluttering in a faint wind, nearly indistinguishable from her pale skin I-I don't know how I got here, or where I was before… just a feeling of… familiarity? I think that's what it's called… around you. She smiles shyly, and then her wings are revealed: pure, unblemished white that seems both dark and colorless and bright and full of color at the same time
Nori: rises with her, then watches in amazement as her wings are revealed. He is almost a perfect contrast, dark hair, dark clothes, dark wings; he only stares in awe. He smiles warmly, wings outspread, catching the gentle breeze and ruffling his worn feathers. My name is Noriaki. But I just go by Nori. I'm not sure how you came here either, but I- I feel the same way. He holds out his hand, mystified by this entire experience
Valerie: Hesitates, then takes his hand Hello, Nori. Nice to meet you! Looks up in confusion, then shakes her head; "It's probably nothing…" she thinks, starting to walk to a random place, wanting to see something; she doesn't know what quite just yet, but she's sure she'll find something eventually
(Note: Val is about 5'3" tall! She could be looking up at Nori, or the sky; I'm not even sure which it is!)
(SHUT UP NORI IS AN INCH SHORTER PFFFT)
(WAIT- HOL' UP- YOU TELLING ME THAT THE SHORT BEAN HAS BEEN BEATEN? I MUST FIX THIS-)
Nori: stares at this strange new friend. "why do I feel like… no. Thats impossible." Its… very nice to meet you too, Val. He stares off into the distance, something pulling him. Where should we go?
Valerie: I don't know, but I know we should go somewhere… it's like, an itch.
Nori: something about her hand seems familiar, all of this does… I… I have the same feeling.
Valerie: Sighs; something just feels so… right about Nori, and she doesn't have any clue as to why Why do you feel so familiar? Have… have we met somewhere before? I- I don't think we have, but this feeling keeps on nagging at me…
