Nori: sighs, nodding, taking deep breaths. He opens his hand, focusing hard on his fingertips, then closes his eyes

Valerie: Smiles Good… now, release!

Nori: lets out a gasp, opening his eyes

Valerie: Jumps, rubs her shoulder You did it, Nori!

Nori: covers his face. I’m so sorry!!

Valerie: Sighs, hugs Nori You're fine, really. It didn't even leave a mark, see? Shows him her unblemished shoulder

Nori: sighs in relief. oh. Oh good. he smiles faintly. thank you for showing me how to do that

Valerie: Grins You're welcome! With enough time and practice, you'll be able to call down pinpoint jolts of electricity and rain just in case someone tries to hurt you!

Nori: smiles nervously, shivering at the sight of his hand. o-okay.

Valerie: Looks at his nervous smile, then sighs It's not going to harm anyone unless you call it. It's like my powers… they're scary in the fact that I've accidentally caused cancer in some of the early people I healed. I got that under control, but I know I can still do it… that knowledge changes you.

Nori: nods, still a little nervous. okay. I trust you. he sighs, folding his wings against his back, staring off. where is this place we’re supposed to go?

Valerie: Closes her eyes and concentrates, doing her best to pinpoint the rough direction the feeling seems to be guiding them I don't know, but I feel like it's close… Her wings suddenly tense, and with a heave, she takes off, hoping to spot the destination from the air

Nori: follows, his wings creating huge gusts as his feet leave the ground, and he ascends into the sky.

Valerie: Realizes it's nighttime Oh, hey. It's dark out! Just as she says that, the moon rises and catches her form, turning her into a beacon of light in the sky; she looks at herself Oh, wow…

Nori: watches, almost falling out of the sky when he beholds the spectacle. He glances at his own figure, a invisible shadow of darkness, nothing visible except his pale skin. He sighs, wondering why his fate was so… dark.

Valerie: Her radiance slowly fades away, and she turns in the air and opens her eyes, which seem brighter than normal, and looks at Nori I- I could make you as bright as I am… i- if you wanted, at least…

Nori: grins, flapping enough to gain more altitude, then gliding gently. I-I would like that a lot.

Valerie: Grins back, then a glow starts forming on her hands; slowly, she glides up to Nori and holds her hands just above his skin, moving them slowly up from his hands, up to his neck, head and face, down his torso, and over his legs too; once it's done, Nori looks absolutely stunning Oh… oh my gods… you look stunning… She flushes with embarassment, then quickly glides to a point just above and behind Nori

Nori: smiles, admiring his shining countenance. oh, oh god. This is beautiful. Lukas would love to see this. he says happily. thank you

Valerie: Giggles You're welcome, Nori. We're almost at our destination, by the way. Looking down at the landscape triggers another flash of memory; in the memory, it's nighttime as well, and she's still flying towards the destination, desperate to reach it. Finally, she does and she lands, finding a shining altar. Quickly, she places three things on there: a ring, and two swords. As she gets this flash of memory, she stops flapping her wings and begins to fall

Nori: watches, stricken with fear. Val! No!! he swoops down expertly, catching her mid-flight, then climbs back up to a gliding altitude

Valerie: Startled out of the memory, she wakes up again W- what happened? Why are you carrying me?

Nori: panting, wings flapping hard. you… you fell. You seemed lost in thought, then you fell. What happened?

Valerie: Drops out of Nori's grasp, spreading her wings to catch the air currents I- I'm not sure… it was a memory, I think… stop. We're here. She drops out of the sky, folding her wings for a faster descent; she breaks at the last moment and lands softly, then runs to the altar, finding the ring and swords there What…? These shouldn't… I shouldn't… She picks up the ring and examines it, then puts it on, a feeling of warmth coming over her as she realizes she was missing this ring

Nori: descends slower, flapping his wings as he comes to a halt on the ground. What… are those? he turns around, taking in the scenery and checking for dangers.
