"Shut up, old man!" Allison shouted at Vladimir.
"Shut up, old man!" Allison shouted at Vladimir.
Joseph barked out a laugh, nearly doubling over. He just roared with amusement. These people were just too much! One was trying to keep peace and think logically, the others were doing to exact opposite!
"Oh- oh my god" Joseph giggled. "You all are hilarious. I haven't laughed like this since the time that test subject said the police would.. well, I suppose that's a story for another time."
He let one more giggle boil over, then he pulled himself together, straightening out his clothes and smiling with glee.
"I'm sorry, that must have sounded so rude. Well, I'm not actually sorry, but you know. Formalities. Don't take it personally. I lack empathy, I commit atrocities, people complain, nothing happens. Repeat. It's quite enjoyable, but people seem to find it annoying."
Roly claps their hands in pure unadulterated joy at Vladimir's words. Alm has a similar reaction, gasping and squealing at what he just said. They both wear wide and ecstatic smiles.
"That's it!! That's Aunt Mat's dream!! She wants a family!!"
The Twins hop up and down excitedly at the fact that they remembered something important. The ground shakes and trembles at their combined activity. They leap back down, crouching on all fours to look closely at Vladimir with wide eyes.
"Thank you so much! We finally remember what we're supposed to do here!"
"We finally know what our ultimate purpose is!"
The Twins look at each other with an innocent mania, and cheer loudly to the sky.
"We have to burn the world to the ground!"
They laugh and squeal and cheer with reckless abandon. In order for them to properly live on this world, all life must be burned down, reduced to soot and ash at their very fingers. Only then can they live together as a true family.
The mention of the Beasts made their laughter cease slightly. Alm straightens themselves while trying to subdue their giggles.
"Oh right. They're Aunt Mat's babies." Alm's laughter stops altogether and their face goes worrisome at the sound of their words. "Wait, no, Uncle Brutus says that's not what they are. They're these funky… things she makes so the world can burn faster. Uncle, Bro, and and the two of us can't burn it by ourselves. They're supposed to be 'tools' but…" Alm looks down with an expression caught between confusion and concern. "Aunt Mat calls 'em her babies."
Roly sits up and looks at Alm confused. "I mean, the Beasts do come out the spot where babies come from, right?"
Alm looks at their twin perplexed. "What? What are you talking about?"
Roly shrugs. "Where babies come from. Duh." They look around and see that Joseph has become active once more. They crouch down to his level and shout at him. "Hey! Smelly Onion Doctor. Babies come out of the eyes right?"
Vladimir dug his fingers into the moist earth as the world shook beneath the twins' excitement, he felt as if the world was created out of water and he was seafoam drifting one it’s roaring surface. When they leaned closer, as did their smell, it was that of wet grass and muddy water. He leaned way, eyes glinting in anger but knowing yelling was no use, especially with these two.
“Your welcome,” he spoke through gritted teeth, wanting to scoot as far away from them, their enormous bulk made him feel uncomfortable and in harm’s way.
“That’s your only reason for being on this earth?” Vladimir asked incredulously, “To destroy it? Well, that’s…reassuring, I feel very safe with you two.” He glanced back at the stares wondering how their Aunt Mat was going to “come down,” and how Alm and Ral were sent down unless…being a star meant they were gods. “Why? What makes you want to destroy humanity? Will you gain something in doing so?” He asked, returned his gaze to the others around him, his head slightly shaking back and forth.
The Twins turn back to Vladimir with empty and clueless eyes. They were in a realm of contemplation as they thought about his words. Destroying the world. Reaping life and death from its surface. Flinging it off and discarding it into the uncaring oblivion. The contemplation lasts for all of two seconds before they're faces are broken by a wide and childish smile. "Cause then we can live here silly!"
Alm looks up at the sky, observing the stars dutifully.
"We don't want to destroy it. We want to burn it! When it's all charred and black, that's when we can live here! There's something really special here that we need. Once we get it, we're set!"
Roly squeals in excitement "Yeah yeah! Then We, Aunt Mat, Uncle Brutus, and Bro can live here without those annoying little dorks and the Giant Stars."
Alm groans and rolls their eyes. "UGH! Don't get me started. Fighting the Dork Squad is hard enough, but fighting the Giant Stars are even harder! Luckily I think Aunt Mat can squash 'em like people when she gets strong enough. We just need to do our part!"
Suddenly Roly gasps and stands up. They cup their hands around their mouth and yell as loud as possible.
“Annoy little dorks? Who are they, and what is the….what did you say, Giant Stars? Are the stars some type of god?” He asked, forgetting momentarily that the twins probably wouldn’t remember and his annoyance would return. He winced as they shouted loudly into the night air, so loud, he didn’t quite pick up all the words they uttered, but he heard enough to get the gist.
“Uh, no.” Vladimir said, shaking his head, “I do not wish the world to burn, in fact, I am trying to save it….my world at least.” He looked at Allison and her companion, “what about you two, are you trying to save the world, or burn it?” He cocked his head toward Allison, “you are half-angle, doesn’t that mean, you’re supposed to be…perfect, loving and such?”
"I'm corrupted, so no…" Allison said.
"I'm literally Famine. What do you think?" Prospero retorted
"Saving the world, burning it, both are pointless. You think that humanity could really ever do anything to the Earth? Nothing permanent. Trying to preserve how it is now is selfish, not that I care. I'll keep to my experiments and play god in my own little lab, not out in the world." Jarrod picked at a piece of grass and stared at it. "Anything too big and they just try to stop you. Disappointing really. But I understand the sentiment, to a degree."
The Twins look at Vladimir in confusion. Alm scratches their head briefly before talking. "Gods? Never heard of 'em. Stars are just a thing that exist where we're from. Those stupid Giant Stars don't want us to burn the world up for some dumb reason and try to stop us. Well they're gonna get a scorchin' if they don't quit with their stupidness!"
Roly giggles. "You sound just like Uncle Brutus!"
Alm smiles wide. "Really? That's awesome!"
They pause and look at Vladimir in awe of his words.
"Save your world? From who?"
Vladimir thought for a moment, then shrugged, why not. It wasn't like they could change anything. “I want the world to be a better place.” He started, his voice matter factly and nonchalant. “But there are some people out there who wield a power they shouldn’t have had in the first place. They clouded people’s minds with hollow promises and lies. The world is nowhere near what they promised. Everyone is treated unfairly and unjustly!” He growled, his voice and attitude suddenly changed, the mere thought of them angered him. “I will make sure everyone will be treated equally and fairly. The entire world agrees with me,” he spread out his hands as if to prove a point, “all, except for Seven Kingdoms. They love their power too much, love to see those under them beg. It brings them joy to see their pain!” He spat, starting to his feet. “They’re trying in every way to defy me, to keep that power and that joy! They deserve worse than death, they took away my wife, persuaded my son to kill her, and join sides with them. They deserve to slowly burn!” He suddenly took a deep breath, his face returning to its calm self.
“But I am not them. So I will first allow them to surrender, and if not, then I will give them a quick death.”
"Very noble of you. But… why do you care? So what if others are treated.. what's the word. "Unfairly"? Why do you care? Tell me." Joseph clasped his hands leaned forward, his face painted with curiosity.
Vladimir turned to Joseph, “why do I care?” His lip curled in a sneer, “I care because I lived through it. My village was under the care of the 3rd Kingdom. The ruler, he did nothing to quench our hunger, our thirst, he did nothing to help when our village was burned down and we had nothing!” He took a deep breath as if to calm himself down, but the air around him seemed to thicken and to darken, as a great mist was wrapping itself around him. “It took every ounce of strength in my being to rise to where I am now. I want to give people the option of rising above the station they were born into. I am not perfect,” he continued, “no one is. But I have learned history, I have learned the history of other worlds, and I saw the pain and suffering power does to the world. I know that the rest of the universe, ours, and many others will suffer the same fate unless someone decides to take control and fix what’s been broken. My world will suffer no longer.”
(Hey, y'all i don't want this rp to die, but school is starting to be a lot more demanding for this week so i wont be able to respond for some time. Please continue without me, i will come back once the work load has lessened. Until then, have fun!)
(Okay then!)

"I see. You want revenge. But you feel bad calling it revenge, so you make it a bit more noble sounding, I understand, mostly. I don't feel like others do. I have emotions, but they apparently they are.. muted. Compared to others. But one emotion that I am able to feel very well is anger. So revenge is something that I am able to understand to a much further extent than others." Joseph nodded, seeming satisfied with this explanation. "You don't need to make it sound better. You are angry at your ruler. You want to see him suffer. Anything noble is secondary, you shouldn't try to hide it. It's…. deceitful, or whatever it is the common people care about so much."
“Noble? No, I never thought of it as being noble.” Vladimir gave a low chuckle, “I am not afraid of calling it “revenge,” if that is indeed what it is. No, I already had my revenge, the ruler of the 3rd Kingdom, has been dead for a long while, and I am not ashamed to admit I was the one who cast the blow.” He sat back down, shaking his head, “no, I am the farthest thing from noble, you would never utter that word if you know what I have done in my past, but I like to think I have changed, fortunately for you.” He rested his hands upon his knees, and stared Joseph in the eyes, “What about you, why do you remain in hell? Does it hold something invaluable to you?”

"Oh good, you aren't a romantic. To answer your question, Hell holds the most priceless thing you could ask for." Joseph leaned forward with a deadly glint in his eye, as if the very idea of what was there could kill.
"Knowledge." Joseph stared, emotionless before he barked out a laugh. "That, and the most dangerous specimens that can be found on either sides of the veil. Fungus that grows inside of its victims, 10 foot tall demons that could swallow a human whole, pixies that will burrow into your flesh. The list goes on. They are a necessary component for my research, both for studying runes and the ways of magic, and for creating my "miscreations". Hell is a resource that I find invaluable."
( I'M BACK FOR NOW )
The Twins listen carefully to their banter. All this talk about what is and is not noble and whether one's actions are from an earnest or deceitful place in their heart made their heads spin. Something about the way that the two men discussed 'revenge' made The Twin's fur stand up. It was something familiar yet foreign all at once. Alm looks down and scratches the back of their head anxiously. Roly hears about Joseph's 'miscreations' and leans their head down to look at him at eye level. Their yellow eye shimmers with curiosity.
"Miscreations? Do you make babies like Aunt Mat?"
Joseph barked out a laugh. "Absolutely not. But I can tell you how I make my miscreations. You start with what you want it to be made out of. Normal animals work fine, but I prefer to use demons. You have to skin them so that selecting the parts is much easier. Then, you begin building your miscreation. You sever limbs and muscles, taking spines, tails and so on. You start sewing them together, taking care to reconnect nerves and blood vessels. It's really quite simple once you've done it a few times. After that you have to reanimate it from the dead, which I'll keep to myself. It's fascinating, is it not?"
(I'm coming in again, but i still got exams next week so i'll probably be dipping again lol)
The Twins eyed him with complete confusion and concern. There were gaps in their memory and knowledge that fazed in and out of their minds as they try to process his words. Roly was the first to speak.
"So… you… you take things apart and put them back together? And then they're something different…" Roly talks slowly and deliberately while Alm stays quiet while they look at the ground with a hand on their chin before also speaking up.
"But, since you took something that's alive, made it dead only to make it alive again, but its different…" Both Twins trail off and silently stare at the ground, their eyes squinted in their futile attempt to understand. Suddenly, Alm claps their hands and their eyes shoot up wide. "Oh! Duh! You're just a mom then!"
Roly snaps their fingers and points at Alm. "Yeah! I was just about to say! Since you're just making something else out of something dead, you made life! And if you made life you're a mom! I think. I dunno!" The Twins, now satisfied with their self conceived answer, nod and hum in approval at their blatantly incorrect idea of creation and motherhood.
