Tatsu released a snarl, "You just really wanna see my ugly side don't ya?"
Despite his tails being held down, they continued to squirm madly. He couldn't take to his true form, what with the shackles holding his arms and legs. Well, he could try, but he wasn't sure if it would work. Nails started to curve into cruel claws. Red energy seemed to start to run up his arms, as if running through his veins beneath the skin. The tips of his tails started glow with the same, strange energy.
Kiriti shifted back into her humanoid form, banging against the bubble. Fenris paced the perimeter, leaving large scorched pawprints wherever he walked. They were trained demigods, sworn to protect others from the likes of Lorrehyl.
Clover scoffed. I warned her too. Seems she realized I was not with them.
Lorrehlyl focused on Tatsu. She summoned white blades out of magic, and slashed at him. The dagger(if it can pierce him in any way) cuts through his soul, stealing a piece and doing far more damage with a scratch than should be possible.
Lorrehlyl looked surprised as she examined the dagger.
“Your essence…it’s not pure magic. You don’t live off of pure magic. How is that conceivably possible?”
Kiriti looked to Fenris frantically. "We have to help them!"
The Hellhound paused. "I could smell a demon on her."
"So it is in our jurisdiction, right? We can call the others?"
"Not yet. We need more information–and a way in."
Tatsu felt the blades start to lash out. A dagger of some strange energy flew forward, aiming to strike his chest. The tip of said weapon pierced, but not all the way, instead staying in place.
"Bad mistake."
His voice had deepened, eyes furious. The shackles started to crack, the red energy sparking along his entire form. There was a crack, the shackles instantly shattering. The male dropped to all fours, body starting to grow even larger. An eruption of white scales, followed by sleek, white fur to cover the scales appeared. Soon, he stood in his full glory, a giant fox-like beast, a mass of tails behind him, muzzle ending in a wicked curve. The red energy continued to pulse through him.
"Now, this makes it a fair fight."
Without warning, he then leapt forward towards the woman who had once had him shackled. As he jumped, the kitsune-dragon cross whipped around, using his tails as a massive whip, aiming to knock the woman out of the air. He could only hope his attack would hit.
Lorrehlyl paused in her examining of the dagger as a rune engraved into the skin of her right hand began bleeding. She cursed under her breath as she pressed her other hand to it, summoning magic to knock her attacker away.
“What do you want know, demon? Am I not pleasing you with this?” A voice sounded to everyone in response.
“They know about me. You should not have let them go. They will try to free the others.” Lorrehlyl looked to Fenris and Kiriti, and an idea popped into her mind.
“They can’t follow me into a pocket dimension without permission.” She summoned her magic again and the bubble began closing in on everyone inside. It raised in the air and then imploded, not harming anyone inside. As it imploded everyone found themselves, still in shackles, now in bright glowing cages, inside of an endless expanse of darkness.
(Are they still visible?)
(Nope. No trace of them is left, but if you can sense magic then you would sense a very faint magical signature)
Kiriti started freaking out. "Where did they go?!"
Fenris hushed her and sniffed the air. "I sense… something. They must be in some magical pocket. We cannot reach them, Kiriti."
Her ears drooped, distraught.
Lorrehlyl looked to Sashay, who was sitting in the corner of her cage.
“I think you should be the first to die.” Lorrehlyl created a spear out of magic, and was about to stab Sashay in the heart. Sashay seemed completely fine with it, and just grinned as she smashed the stone she had been holding.
He felt himself get swatted back down towards the ground. The beast's form twisted, landing perfectly on all fours. He released a loud growl, his hackles were raised, giving the appearance of a row of spikes running down his back. Tatsu jumped upwards, to only be met with hard, metallic bars. He fell down after hitting his head pretty hard.
The creature laid there, stunned for a few moments, then shook his head, eyes glaring outwards. His fangs gleamed, tails remaining fanned out behind him, each bladed edge gleaming, red energy running down them.
"I am really growing tired of your petty tricks. Fight instead of cowering in the background and hiding behind your protective cover."
Lorrehlyl paused and turned toward Tatsu, a bored look in her eyes.
“If I tried to fight you I would probably die, and I only need your blood, so I don’t really see the point.”
Tatsu snarled, "Coward! If you want my blood, you'll have to kill me for it!"
He then leapt again towards the bars of the cage. A creak sounded as the bars took his giant weight. Red energy started to spark from his legs, the tips of his tails starting to glow with the same energy. The beast started to open his jaws, red sparks starting to fly.
(I have no idea what to do right now XD)
Suddenly, a rift appeared in the pocket dimension. A huge, flaming red dragon fly through, and landed on Sashay’s cage.
“Ugh, not that thing again. Serenade, stop doing this!” Lorrehlyl screamed at the dragon as a third woman with white wings and brown hair fly through the rift, it closing behind her.
“Well, I’m out. I hate dragons!” Lorrehlyl summoned her magic and disappeared, teleporting away and leaving everyone in the pocket dimension. The cages and shackles disappeared with her.
An orb of crackling red energy had started to form in his maw, aiming for the woman who held them captive. Then without warning, another suddenly appeared from the darkness. The beast swallowed back his attack, red eyes shifting over. The red energy continued to flare around him, pulsing around him.
Tatsu shot a look their captor suddenly disappeared. He released an enraged roar, "YOU DAMN COWARD!"
His rage was flaring up, the energy around him seeming to grow more intense.
Serenade looked at Tatsu.
“No, please don’t explode or something. This dimension might collapse,” she looked worriedly around at the darkness. Sashay was petting the dragon in the one spot it wasn’t on fire.
Fenris paced again. "There is one person I know of that can travel to whatever dimensions she wishes."
Kiriti faced him with a dropped jaw. "You can't be serious."
"It may be their only chance of escape."
“Okay, so I can get you guys out of here, but we are going to drop from the sky when we do so, so be prepared.” Serenade said. Sashay swung herself up onto the dragon
“Come on boy, tone down those flames a bit. If anyone needs to, you can ride Firekaw so you don’t fall to your deaths,” offered Sashay.
He whipped around, eyes continuing to glow, the pupils narrowed into thin slits that were nearly lost in the vast red of his eyes. Being trapped and in a tight space, getting lashed at with magic blades, and nearly having his heart pierced, Tatsu was getting to the point of beyond reasoning.
"Then get us the hell out of here, so I don't end up blowing this place up."
Hearing them, he gave a snort, "I'll be fine, just hurry up so I can get rid of this excessive energy before I do destroy this place and everyone in it."
(Aight so what do you want us to do?)
Serenade lifted her hands up defensively.
“Hey, no need to get so intense.” She closed her eyes and focused, her wings spreading out and beginning to flap and lift her into the air. Suddenly, the floor just disappeared, dropping them into the arena again. Sashay’s dragon flapped its wings and glided down gracefully alongside Serenade.
Kiriti sighed at the sight of them again. She rushed forward to see if anyone was in need of healing.
Fenris stayed back, still in his Hellhound form.
