"There we go. Back to familiarity." She finished making the Orange Julius, poured it into more champagne glasses, and gave him one.

"Thanks, dear." He said, taking a sip.

"No prob, dear." She grinned and took her place at the counter.

He dished out waffles on plates.
"Okay, Dear"

"Thanks, DEAR." She started giggling.

"You're welcome, DEAR"

Nyx cut her waffles into pieces, still giggling.

He did the same, chuckling

They ate breakfast.

He finished fast

Nyx finished hers. "That was good. Thanks."

"No problem." He said

He went to the library in his house. The initals V. R. shone against the black silk of his pajamas. He began to hum

Nyx followed him, her nightgown swishing around her ankles. She liked his pajamas, but was debating mentally on whether or not to compliment them.
"I like your pajamas," she eventually blurted.

"Oh, thanks!" He said, picking out a very old book and sitting on a chair and reading it.

Nyx awkwardly stood there. "Um… what are you reading?"

"Oh, Pride and Prejudice, by Jane Austen!"

"Really?" She peered curiously at it. "Anne told us about that once. Isn't it romance?"

"Neat!" he handed it to her.
"It's not that interesting, in my opinion. Good story and plot, but just overrated.'

Nyx inspected it before handing it back to him.

"Okay then. Pick a book, any book. There's only two books that's not in here!"

"Oh, let's see, The Satanic Verses and the Voynich Manuscript."

"Nope! I have those!"
