"You were having a nightmare." Subconsciously, like Anne used to do for her and Seven and Phoenix, she untangled the sheets and brushed the stray hair from his face. "Are you all right?"

"Musta been reliving Tartarus, I guess…" He put on a smile, as to not scare.
"Thanks for looking out for me."

"Yeah." She rubbed his shoulder.

"Sorry if I scared you. I did not mean to do that at all."

"It's all right." She suddenly realised she was touching his shoulder and yanked her hand away, turning faintly pink.

"What's wrong?" He asked, wondering why she was pink

"Sorry. I didn't realise I was touching you. Anne used to comfort us when we had nightmares, and eventually we started to comfort each other, and…" She bit her lip. "It's second nature now, I guess."

He giggled.
"It's okay, darling." He said, also turning pink

"Darling. That's a new one."

"Anyways, you must want breakfast, I assume?" He said, getting up. He never changed in pajamas

Nyx turned pink at the sight of his pajamas. "Yeah."

(He isn't naked, btw)
"What exactly do you want?" He asked

"Dunno." She shrugged.

"Waffles sound good to you?"

"Sure."

He went to the kitchen

He started making waffles

Nyx sat at the counter and watched. Per usual.

"Can you make some Orange Julius, sweetheart?" He asked

"Sweetheart. That's a new one too." She made some.

"What are you, counting?" He teased

"Of course not. I'm just unfamiliar with being called that sort of name. And you've been calling me dear."

"Okay, dear" He said
