Ragnor: Notices he's being pointed to. Shifts his arms, the metallic right crossing in front of his chest
I did?
Eve: The small, green creature lifts off of her master's shoulder, flitting over to the newest pair. Hovers near them, eyes narrowed
Typical…Ragnor, think I could…
Ragnor: Eve, please…just don't. Behave yourself or I'll send you back
Eve: Gives a soft huff
Good luck. I'm your familiar, so I'm not going anywhere
Marisol: she offered a slight grin and took his hand with a firm shake
It's a pleasure meeting you, Philip. Once again, I apologize for the way my lord was behaving earlier.
Kalmir: Don't treat me like a child, Marisol. I can handle my own affairs.
Marisol: she simply nodded
This is Kalmir. He's not normally like this, it must be because of all the people here. He's not the… most social when it comes to events such as this one. It must be the nerves. Please excuse him.
Ragnor: Sounds like a few people and creatures I know
Eve: Returns to Ragnor's shoulder, settling down again, muttering under her breath
Sure acts like a 'child'
Ragnor: Shush Eve
Looks over, returning to his smoke
Well, you already know our names; Ragnor and Eve
Warlock and…
Eve: Adds her voice
…and familiar
I sympathize with your plight, Kalmir. (He truly did suffer from social ineptitude. At least someone here can relate a bit.) Now, not to be invasive or rude, but you appear to be here on due to some sort of business. Do you have a specific objective by being here?
Marisol: It's a pleasure to meet the both of you. And…he's not in the best situation right now. Don't take it personally, he's just…uncomfortable around new people. It'll take a while to warm up to him, especially with insults being thrown around.
Kalmir: he had begun to cough softly, keeping a cloth pressed over his mouth as the coughing increased
Max: Guess who's back, back again!
Ragnor: Raises an eyebrow at the other male who was introduced as 'Kalmir'
Hm?
Eve: Rolls her eyes
It's probably because of your smoking
Ragnor: Gives a shrug
What can I say…
Eve: Looks to Ragnor, concern crossing her features
You took your tonic today…right?
Ragnor: Closes his eyes, slowly exhaling a cloud of smoke
Yes, and one of the sorceress sisters should be coming by to drop off more of the stuff
Kalmir: It is…you. Forgive me, I do not know who you are.
He looked over, seemingly uninterested
Hello again, Max. (He had a barely visible smile. That's one of Hel's favorite songs.) You didn't miss much. Just some newcomers. (He turns to Kalmir.) Now, from what I've observed, all of us originate from a multitude of universes and stories. Some denizens are human and some are not. Are any of you, perchance, a human in some respect?
Ragnor: Gives a slight wave to Max, turning his attention to Kalmir
Eve: Eyes narrow, seemingly getting ready to speak, but is hushed by her master's good, left arm
Ragnor: Name's Ragnor, we'll just keep it at that less you have business with me
Snuffs out the cigarette, crushing it under a boot
Apologies if I caused a problem, just something calm the nerves
Max sips on a beer: I'm so confused but okay.
Chesh shook her head. "Hey Max. Can I have some of that beer? I'm getting a headache." She said pinching the bridge of her nose.
Mad nodded. Sure thing mate, here. He threw a can over to her.
Chesh almost dropped the can but caught it at the last moment. "I've never had one of these before. Dojina never lets me have any alcohol." She said.
(Before Chesh could drink it, Philip snatches it out of her hand and sniffs it.) You're right. This is alcohol. And also basically poison. Not only should you (he points to Max) not be drinking this because of negative health effects, (he points to Chesh) you DEFINITELY shouldn't drink this due to age restriction.
Max: Damn sheila, you've been missin' out! This, is a classic 'Strayan beer. Best of the best. And oi! That's no fair mate!
It's not fair to your incredibly vulnerable human body to be subjecting yourself to this kind of exposure. You need to be wary of your food and drink intake especially since- (He was about to continue on a possible novel long explanation about the health concerns of human meals, when all of a sudden a very strange sound began to resonate from the ceiling directly above him. It sounded like a low humming. He paused and listened intently.) Do you hear that?
Chesh scowled at Philip. She was about to yell at him when he asked about the humming. "Yeah. I hear it too. And to be honest, I wouldn't be surprised if it was Hel." Chesh said with a grin. "Hel can make on hell of a entrance."
Ragnor: Raises an eyebrow as Philip goes on a long talking spree of 'health'
Jeez…thank the gods I don't have to constantly listen something like that
Eve: Sighs, shaking her head
Only because I've given up trying to talk you out of smoking…plus I've gotten used to it, as well as the reason you do smoke
Ragnor: gives his familiar a kind smile, lightly using a single finger to pet her head
Eve: Slowly closes her eyes, starting to purr
(Philip formed an exhausting face as he begins to shout at the ceiling.) Hel!! I know that's you! Go through another entrance, you'll hurt yourself if you fall! The damage could be- (He stopped. Something was wrong. This was void magic. Only void magic could transport beings from one dimension to another. But this wasn't Hel's void magic. This was too raw. Too uncontrollable. Too… Oh sh#t.) Everyone, get back NOW!!
Chesh jumped back when Philip yelled. "The hell!" She yelled, still thinking the magic was from Hel.
Kalmir: he pulled Marisol behind him and raised a hand to the brooch he wore. It fell into his hand and he felt it shift into a longsword. He kept his eyes narrowed, taking slow steps back while making sure that Marisol was still behind him
Ragnor: Pauses, lifting his head. Eyes narrowing, green eyes seemingly starting to glow brighter
That energy…
Eve: Small body goes rigid. Ears swivel forward
Void…Ragnor!
Ragnor: Alright, alright! I'm on it!
Crouches to the ground, closing his eyes. placing his hands on the ground. A green energy seems to surround him, muttering under his breath words of an unknown origin
Eve: Small body glowing bright green, staying close to Ragnor. Shifts her green eyes over
If you need cover, come close…
Ragnor: Eyes fly open, glowing bright green. Instantly the earth before him rises into a massive stone wall
(Something fell. It was black and huge. Philip knew humans thought gods as beings who created mankind and prayed to them when in need. Maybe he could pray to the void, the creator of Necrotzen, to save them. He knew that was incredibly foolish, though. The void feared her too. The mass rose up. Philip was taller than the standard human. Hel was even taller. This towered at least eight feet tall. It held up it's face for all to see and from it's scalp billowed black, long, disgusting wrenching hair. It looked like Hel. But it also didn't look anything like her. It's mouth was splitting it's face apart, revealing sharp, white teeth clenched together in a horrific and deformed mockery of a smile. The tip of it's mouth could almost pierce it's eyes. Good lord, it's eyes. Pure white. No pupil, No iris. Just a horrifying malice radiating from it's eyes. Her arms hanged at her sides as she stood tall. Her claws were disgustingly long and gangly stained at the tip with crimson. Philip was shaking. She was staring. And then she spoke.) Hello.
Chesh stumbled back. O god. This didn't look like anything she had ever seen. This was like Night but on all the drugs and steroids. Philip was shaking. Why was he shaking?
