Kye smiled up at Derlik before moving to embrace Blake. He seemed to nearly knock him over, so he apologised quickly, double checking to be sure they were okay. Then, he pulled the other human a bit closer once again before whispering a thank you to their ear.
Blake hugged Kye tightly, grateful to be at full size. It was always nice when Derlik let him. They smiled softly, nodding in acknowledgement to Kye’s thanks. “Of course, I’m always here to help.”
Kye rested his head in the crook of their neck, extremely grateful to have someone so willing to give. One of these days he was going to surprise him with something Blake would like, and could use no matter the size. He wasn't really sure of what just yet, but he'd think of something. It might start out with more books, perhaps something to do with the stars since they liked space?
After a moment, Blake gently ran their fingers through Kye’s hair, humming softly. They did like to take care of the other, even though Kye didn’t need it too much.
