Danny stepped back into a clear area and flung the demon off. The demon flew up and when it came down Danny swung at it like he would a baseball and it crumbled into ash.
"I'm not exactly a god." Danny corrects. "And my father was certainly not called Juany. Plus, It's only me now, so it must be a different Death. Different universes and such."
Thorne: "Did you just call Jaunyé 'Jauny'? Oh, stars, I really hope she's not paying attention right now." they laugh "I have to call her that at the next meeting."
Teidul: Oh, gods. I believe I remember one now. Tlemoyocoatl. That’s..
They trailed off, upon seeing the demon turn into ash. Going from the round pupil shape, they went back to the slitted pupils, though they stayed silent.
Caderom: Teidul. You’re fine.
Gracie held back a laugh, but barely. "But I thought you said yes to Ava's question… and yes I did call her that. I can't remember her name perfectly y'know…"
"See! That's what she called her!" He says defensively in a joke kind of way.
Thorne: "No, I said 'the child is in no way related to Jaunyé'." they sigh Well, hopefully, her name won't get out of the Everlasting Woods. They usually eat up prayers."
"Eat up prayers? What are you talking about?" Gracie asks, then under her breath "this place sure is strange"
“Yeah that’s much stranger than what I’m used to.” Danny says, a little creeped out.
Thorne: "The Everlasting Woods." they gesture at the orange and gold trees on the other side of the garden wall "A lot of people die in these woods, mostly because nothing ever changes in them. They also stop most tech and magic from working. Prayers included."
"What are prayers and how can a forest eat them?" Ava asked her leg bouncing under the table.
Teidul: While their pupils stay slitted, making them look rather alert, they continue speaking of their own god, not caring if anyone’s listening or not.
Tlemoyocoatl is one of the gods from my world. He’s commonly worshipped among few of the humans and many dragons and other dragon-like beings. In their lore, Tlemoyocoatl was the one who gave light at the beginning of the world, and allowed our world to become what it is today.
They move from a sitting position, up to standing next to Caderom
Caderom: Tuor ekess jaseve?
The dragon looks at Teidul.
Teidul: Shakes head
Thric.
Kheja: Has once again grown quiet, simply listening to those around her
Thorne: "Prayers. Asking a god for assistance." they shrug "At least, that's what they are here. Everyone's always asking us for stuff."
Caderom: He stands up slightly, backing up to open his wings up, presumably just to stretch. His wings are large, but it made sense for such a large creature. In addition, he also had two pairs of wings. His wings on the top were larger, while the ones weren’t as large, but it also wasn’t too noticeable. He folds them back in.
Teidul: Restless?
Caderom: Just a bit.
"Light gets lots of prayers. If you're from Earth, you might know him as God." Danny says.
"I kind of wish I got prayers. I mean, I guess I don't quite have a religion, but I'm still pretty important on Earth."
Thorne: "Prayers aren't all that fun. I don't get them that much- thank the stars- but they can be very annoying."
Caderom: Us dragons always settled for shrines dedicated to our gods. We never really focused too much on prayers. Just offerings, and respect.
Teidul: Never really prayed much either. I don’t really believe in a set god. Maybe the Demon Lord, Aserka, but that’s it.
"What do people usually pray to you for?" Danny asks. "Actually, now that you say it, I'm not sure I'd get all too many good prayers. God gets prayers for miracles of life, I would probably get prayers like 'I don't like this guy, make him get sick and die,' or some crap
Thorne: "Oh, the people who pray to me are usually criminals. They ask for… the ability to lie their way into someplace, or something like that. I do occasionally get someone asking how to do Rellusion, but… that almost never happens."
Kheja: The dragonsss back in my world are very closssely assssociated with dragonssss. The firssst Sssupreme Dragon King wasss sssaid to be a direct dessscendant to the Sssupreme God and Goddessss.
Many dragonsss often go on a pilgrimage to the great City of Imperosss, a plassse created by the Sssupreme God himssself
"I'm not exactly religious. But that's because I work with God." Danny chuckled.
"I guess we pray, but its mostly just saying thanks. We have to thank the inventors before every meal," She explains sitting upright and looking around at the others.
“Inventors? Why are you saying grace to an inventor?” Danny asks.
"The Inventors," she corrects. "They created everything in my country. From our watches to the PATH system."
Having just been listening curiously, Gracie suddenly had a question, "What's the PATH system?"
