"Never mind." The man turned and started to walk back into the fog, "I understand if you don't trust me, but I noticed you were talking about a candle man, and I saw a castle earlier." He paused, looking back to see their response, his eyes glowing in the gloom.
"But I will leave."
Wren tilts their head at the man.
"You can't leave." they call out in a small voice.
"I can leave your company," he locks eyes with Wren, "I understand that I make others uncomfortable. Even though I've lived for nearly a thousand years, I found it best not to interact with people, lest I find myself in some kind of relationship that always ends in their death. Therefore socializing is not my strong suit."
"It's too dangerous here. Do you even know where you are?" they ask, shrinking away from the eye contact.
Jordie whispers to Blade, explaining how to control the electricity she put within Blade's sword. "Electricity flows through the veins. If you want a shock, you can trigger it through the veins on your wrist. You'll be able to feel the tingle. If you don't want that, just disregard that and go as you usually would. And, I'm happy to remove the lightning at any time if so."
Blade nodded to Jordie in understanding. Then, she reluctantly sheathed her sword and turned to Titus. "No. Stay for now, if you're willing. Wren's right. And I'm intrigued by this story of yours."
Amelia twirled her staff. Dawn and Mira were talking softly. galvin had been hoisted onto July's shoulders, as he didn't have his prosthetic leg.
Shaziri huffs, still unconvinced, but Phoenix pats her shoulder gently.
“This has been happening pretty often,” he murmurs to her, “We haven’t encountered anyone too hostile yet; let’s just go with it.”
The girl’s eyes narrow, but she sighs, “Fine, I trust you. But if anybody tries anything…”
She fingers her dagger meaningfully, and Phoenix nods in silent acknowledgement before he turns to Titus.
“Welcome to our merry band of misfits, I guess,” he says with a lopsided grin.
"I like that name," Jordie says with a giggle.
Holly giggled. "We are the Misfits! i like that!"
"Yes! We shall keep this name!"
July, holly, galvin, and Emilie cheered.
The realization kicked in that Blade may not like this idea.
But she ignored the realization and joined the cheering children!
Star was smiling, seeing her siblings happy, but she didn't join in on the cheering, trying to stay attentive. Mira and Dawn were still talking quietly, probably flirting. Amelia smiled, stabbing a mosquito out of the air with the sharp side of her staff.
"That was awesome," Jordie gasps in awe, watching Amelia murder the mosquito.
(Oh my gosh, guys, I actually have a dimension-hopping, trauma-filled group of outcasts I call the Misfits in one of my stories, how did this happen—?)

Amelia glanced at jordie, then does it again with a mosquito behind her. "thanks"
Jordie's bright eyes watch as the mosquito is stabbed. "This really is ama-"
Jordie is briskly cut off after collapsing to the ground, unconcious.
“OH MY SHEASA, JORDIE!!!” Phoenix shouted, running to the girl’s side. Shaziri whipped out both of her daggers and immediately started scanning the area for snipers.

I only have one that has one of your characters in it just cuz they haven’t been here long and I haven’t quite gotten a feel for them yet. I might do more the further we get into the chat.)
Amelia raised her staff, which was suddenly glowing. Mira pulled out a loaded blowgun, and Dawn's hand lit on fire. the triplets' necklaces started glowing, emilie's fingers started sparking with electricity, and galvin grew wings, horns, and a dragon-like tail.
