"Could someone please tell me where I am?" She was hoping one of these people were dimensional beings and could tell her where she had ended up.
"Could someone please tell me where I am?" She was hoping one of these people were dimensional beings and could tell her where she had ended up.
"I honestly don't know. I just jumped to a random realm and a random world to get away from everyone." She tilted her head up at the sky. "But there are quite a few realms I could scratch off the list of possibilities."
Amalis stood back, watching everything unfold. "This is why I do not meddle in earth affairs.." he mumbled to himself, pulling his cardigan tightly around him. He wasn't used to so many new people. One or two he could handle, but four was a crowd, and with another one just watching from the distance, five was definitely too many.
"Yes, that is for certain. I am Hinata Hayashi, Keeper of Balance." The girl had composed herself. There was no room for weakness with her job.
"What was that for!"Arianna exploded. Her head hurt terribly. She stood up too fast, and had to sit down again. Taking a deep breath, she closed her eyes and very slowly stood. "What do you mean, 'realms'? Earth is the only I've ever known."
"Cinthia. Princess of the Universe and the gods…" She muttered the last part uncomfortably. To Arianna, she said, "Earth is only a single world within a realm."
Hinata reached down to help Arianna.
"Oh sweety, there is so much to learn, in so little time."
Hinata looked at Cinthia.
"I see. Tell me, have you much interactions with people of equal power to the gods?"
Amalis turned away from everyone, a weak smile on his lips as he willed himself to become invisible. He wasn't needed for the time being, but he would show again when someone, anyone, wanted his company. But for the time being he was content just observing the other people around him.
She tilted her head. "Well… I interact with gods and demigods all the time. And there are different power levels to the gods. Six, to be exact." Then she ticked off some others. "I've run into quite a few demons who could be considered equal in power. Nightwalkers, Hellhounds, some Fae… I think that's it."
"Then congratulations; you have met the oldest being in the multiverse." A smile tugged at Hinata's mouth.
"Thank you."Arianna said. Her mind was blown. This felt so real, but it couldn't be. Could it? These people evidently believed it to be true. "Who are all of you? I'm sorry if you already introduced yourself, I was… unable to respond. I'm Arianna" Arianna gave a dirty Tiak look.
Tiak sat there nervously, feeling guilty about paralyzing Arianna.
“I know a being who jumps between dimensions. She’s the one who brought me here.”
Cinthia didn't look impressed, but she did raise a brow. "How old are you…?" To Arianna: "Cinthia. And I'm just going to leave it at that."
“Thirty eight seasons.”
I am so old, I remember the destruction of Paradise (if you want an explanation see her character profile), the first dimension to be destroyed." Hinata held back tears. She didn't let them know that Paradise had also been her homeworld.
She shook her head, standing up and pulling her jacket tighter around her body, avoiding any skin-to-skin contact as possible. "I meant Hinata, but I'm going to assume that means you're older than I am."
"Nice to meet you, Cinthia. And, Tiak, we are cool, as long as that doesn't happen again." Arianna winked at Tiak, she was beginning to like her
She chewed her lip, thinking. "That's… depressing. I'm currently stuck in a headlock with a universe destroyer."
" I am so very confused right now. What do you mean, Cinthia, 'stuck in a headlock with a universe destroyer'?" Arianna's face betrayed how nervous she was
"Well, I would help, but I have to deal with another Universe destroyer. I highly doubt we are facing the same one, after all."
Hinata looked to Arianna.
"As I said, so little time."
Her face, on the other hand, revealed nothing. "I mean that a universe-destroying individual and I are currently at a cease-fire because neither of us can kill the other at the moment." She shook her head at Hinata. "Highly unlikely."
Amalis couldn't help but be amused by the collection of beings around him. "You people really are fascinating.." he chuckled, knowing full well he was only a disembodied voice from their perspective.
She shook her head, standing up and pulling her jacket tighter around her body, avoiding any skin-to-skin contact as possible. "I meant Hinata, but I'm going to assume that means you're older than I am."
“Probably not. I think that translates to about 10 grounder years?” Tiak held up her claws, doing some mental math.
