"The gravity was significantly denser than it is here, and any physical activities more taxing," Kye explained thinking back. "As for the materials, they had many, but it is difficult to describe them, because the words to describe them do not exist in this language."
((Assuming it’s not too late to join in,))
Gently pushes Minti in
Minti blinked, all four of her eyes as she seemed to process where she was. She then seemed to come to the realization that there were other people here, as given by her reaction of stiffening, though she didn’t do anything else beyond that.
To Ava's surprise, another… alien appeared in front of her eyes. "Hey look! It's another one!" she rushed over to Minti, but realized that she they, she corrected herself, might be a lil' overwhelmed if she just did what she wanted to do. So approached Minti a bit more cautiously, she extended a hand. "Hi, I'm Ava. Nice to meet you, and you are…?"
Upon seeing the strange creature, the two pulled out their weapons– Daniel, the chain whip that was used as a belt and Kyoko the dagger that was tucked in the waistband of her pants.
"Demon," Kyoko hissed.
Kye almost instantly bounced in between the two and the newcomer. A purple colored barrier thing appearing between them. "Whoa, calm down. There is absolutely no need for that."
Minti seemed to look towards Ava for a moment, as if she was about to respond but turned her head almost immediately in the general direction of Kyoko and Daniel. Her eyes narrowed, lips almost curling into a growl but at the appearance of the barrier she seemed to be surprised, as she moved backwards.
She seemed to keep herself lowered, not standing at quite her full height. “Demon? I assure you, I am not an Eldritch,” she spoke, her voice having an unknown accent to it.
Kye was facing Daniel and Kyoko with his back turned to Minti. "I do apologize ma'am, I think you may have accidentally startled them, and they just need to calm down. My name is Kye, may I ask what your name is?"
Minti turned to look at Kye, her eyes once again returning to a passive state. “My name is..well, Minti.” Although that was somewhat of a lie, it was the name she was most comfortable with, and commonly went by. She nodded in a greeting.
The barrier between the three people seemed to melt away, and Kye turned to look at Minti. "I apologize again for the out burst, it is just a defense mechanism for some, please do not hold it against them."
Eva, who was glaring around the room, stared for a moment when she spotted the new person. "Whoa, what are you?" She asked, coming closer.
Minti seemed to stand up a bit taller, her arms crossed. They seemed to be a quirk of hers. If someone were to look further at her, they would see she had two slightly smaller arms against her sides. “It’s fine. I’m used to outbursts,” which was rather true, given her past jobs.
She glanced at Eva, keeping two of her eyes closed for now. “Are you speaking to me?”
"Their name is Minti," Ava nodded at Minti. "So, alien, huh? Four eyes and all…" she tried to make small talk but realized it sounded very strange and so she didn't continue her train of thought.
Eva tilted her head and narrowed her eyes, observing Minti. Her brothers watched from their spots against the wall, hoping she wouldn't start trouble.
“Technically, you are the aliens to me.” She stated, although there was no rudeness in her tone. She blinked her currently open eyes.
Kye relaxed a little and took a step back. He was not looking to have to fight anyone here. He was also not looking to have to stop a fight, it was all just too much work that he didn't want to do right now. He turned to Daniel and Kyoko. "I think it is safe to say there are no demons here."
They glanced at one another, the firm hold they had on their weapons still remaining. Daniel sighed and tentatively wrapped his whip back onto his waistband which prompted his sister to do the same.
Kyoko gave them a small bow. "Apologies."
Ghost floated up a bit more into the air, watching everyone with a wary posture. Blair noticed that and moved a bit in front of him, into a protective stance a bit.
Minti looks around, before returning the gesture. “You are forgiven,” she replied with a nod. Minti could hold her own well, but she never liked to fight, be it verbally or physically. She backs up, her secondary pair of arms moving to be crossed under her main pair of arms.
"So… if not demon, what are you exactly?" Daniel crossed his arms and tilted his head.
“I’m a Xoneox,” Minti let her four arms drop to her sides, “in other words, alien.”
"Yes, I can…" he cleared his throat as though it would shift his focus from her arms. "I can see that." He gave her an awkward smile, his gills hissing quietly.
"Ooh interesting! Kye and I were just chatting about life on other planets, I never knew about that before." Ava replied.
Kye took a breath and relaxed his shoulders again. He moved his left arm a little, as if he'd pulled something and was trying to stretch it out again. Or like it was hurt. He'd thrown his arms up fast when the barrier appeared, indicating that he'd been the one to create the barrier.
