Kye took a breath and walked over to them. "Is there something I can help you with?" He used a hand to brush his white hair out of his face. He didn't make eye contact with anyone, as he stood there. Both his hands where now resting in his red hoodie's pocket.
Daniel narrowed his eyes on him. "Ooh, pretty." He bit one of his claws and smiled.
"Sit."
"I would much rather stand thank you," Kye nodded to him. "I would also appreciate if you answered my question."
"There's nothing. Nothing at all." Kyoko gave him a small smile. "Just curious as to what you are exactly."
Ava looked down. "No," she whispered back to Chesh fiercely. "I'm running. Running from…" she looked away. "Nevermind, it was a bad idea to bring it up," and she brushed her light brown hair out of her face, standing up. With renewed determination, she looked around for an exit once more.
Kye kind of dipped his head at the question. "By all technicalities, a monster," he mumbled probably not loud enough for hardly anyone to hear.
"I'm sorry? I couldn't hear you. Could you repeat that for me please?"
"Where I come from, I am half elf and half monster according to everyone that knows me," Kye mumbled a little louder for them to hear.
At Kye's words, Ava took a couple steps back. "I-I'm sorry, did you say monster?" her confidence draining out of her.
"Oh? Looks like we have something in common already." she sat up and leaned against her hands. "I'm half elf and half monster, well, Cloaker to be specific."
"According to those who know me, yes." Kye lifted his chin to look at the people around him. "Most take one look at me and turn to leave, they think they know what I am. What do you see when you look at me?" His hair was a mess, his eyes looked like a dull purple, he was wearing a red sweatshirt and black jeans.
"I see… someone who needs to get their hair flat ironed. But cute outfit, though."
Daniel stood up and brushed his pants as he looked up at the boy. "You're so goddamn, tall."
Kye ignored the last comment. "But if you knew that I managed to slaughter everyone in a village out of blind rage, then how would you see me?"
Kyoko shrugged. "I'd say, it's not your fault. I'm sure we've all done some questionable things that we don't necessarily mean."
"What if I did mean it? I honestly do not have an answer, whether I really meant to kill everyone in that village or not," he shrugged and looked down. "It is life I guess."
Ava shook her head. “Nope,” She said popping the P. “We don’t have anything like that.”
Ghost and Blair had moved back into the corner, the bandaged man resting a hand on the scarred one's shoulders. "You're going to be okay." Ghost pushed the message into Blair's head.
“Why?“ Chesh asked as she scooted over to her.
"Are we in hell again?" Blair muttered to Ghost, leaning into the light touch of his friend's hand. They had already been to hell, but they hoped the Narrator and Author didn't throw them in it again. "No. Avery would be here if it were." Ghost replied quietly.
"This was a bad idea," Ava made up her mind. "No, I need to get out of here." She ran in every which way, but never going anywhere. "No, nonono! This can't be. I'm not stuck here," she told herself, her panic rising.
Cress watched Ava worriedly, his breathing starting to speed up. Zech looked up at Ava. "Hey, quit panicking, you're gonna make my brother panic. Listen, I think if we were meant to be able to leave, none of us would still be here. Unless some of these people wanted to be here." He shrugged.
"No. You don't understand. I need to get out of here. What if they found me? What if they're here, watching me? Pfft, what am I thinking? They may've found me, but they sure don't care enough to watch me," Ava replied.
"Would it make you feel better if I cast a charm of invisabily over you?" Ghost asked the girl quietly, holding a small ring in his hand.
"Lady, I have no idea what you're talking about," Zech said, "but if whoever is looking for you makes you this paranoid, they must really be trying to get to you. If that's the case, wouldn't you be able to see them in here? Why would the rest of us be here as well?"
"No. They aren't actively trying to find me," Ava shook her head. "But if they saw me, no way they wouldn't pass up the chance to get it right." And at Zech's comment, she shrugged. "I don't know, maybe they have some beef on you?"
(I have to go now, see y'all in a bit)
