"Right. I forgot that. Back to the hotel, then." And so they went.

Nellie had been sitting in her room for almost an hour, doing… absolutely nothing. She'd realized very suddenly earlier that going to a party when she had no friends would be awkward, to say the least. So… she had just been sitting and staring at the wall. It was surprisingly entertaining.

Ava opens the door to the room to see a girl sitting on one of the beds. She waves as she walks inside. "Hi! I'm Ava you must be Nellie."

Lloyd figured he ought to get ready for the party and went up to his room, changing into navy swim trunks and a white, long sleeved swim shirt that covered the parts of his body that he hated. He put his other clothes away and headed down to the beach.

Finn opens up his duffel bag and pulls out his swim trunks and a t-shirt. The trunks are a little worn since they're from last summer but they fit just fine. He put them on and walked down to the beach. He isn't technically invited to the party but he heard it was on the beach and he wants to talk to Lloyd.

Lloyd sat down on the sand and watched the waves quietly, not noticing Finn yet. Even though he thought he was alone, he kept his arms folded tightly around his chest, self conscious about how these clothes were tighter to his body than his regular hoodie and jeans.

Finn silently sits down next to Lloyd. Looking off into the ocean.

Lloyd jumped a bit when Finn suddenly appeared, a pink tint rising to his pale cheeks. He decided to keep quiet for now, though, his arms growing tighter around his chest.

Finn looks over at Lloyd. "Sorry, didn't mean to scare you," He says moving away from him slightly. They are an arm's length away from each other.

"It's alright… I-I should've been paying more attention." Lloyd kept his eyes fixed firmly on the ocean. "It seems to be high tide…"
(Also Lloyd literally can't talk to people so this is gonna be great)

Finn nodded as he slipped his shoes off and then his shirt. "Wanna go swimming?" He asked standing up.

"I… s-sure." Lloyd stood up, looking up at Finn. I can't exactly swim, at least not well, but why would I bother to mention that? Damn idiot… He followed Finn into the water with a vague air of anxiety.

Finn smiled and gestured for Lloyd to follow as he ran into the water. once he was in to about his knees he sat down.

Lloyd sat beside Finn, the water hitting his chin with the small waves. This was making him pretty nervous, honestly. "S-So, what's your… favorite… uh, element? Mine's phosphorus…" He said awkwardly, his cheeks pretty red by now. Oh, yeah. I'm shit at conversation.

Finn thinks for a second. He dips the back of his head into the water before answering. "Hmm that ones hard. I don't know a lot of them but mercury is cool," He murmurs.

(I'm so dumb I went to check the site on my phone and then opened up the exact same thing on my tablet :'))

(I do that all the time but with my laptop. I'll have it open and then open it on my phone)

Lloyd nodded awkwardly. "I'll just apologize in advance for my lack of conversational skills… I don't know what… uh… normal, people like."

"You aren't that bad. Talking to you is nice," He reassures as he relaxes in the water.

amy (the most wonderful woman in the world) looked at the clock, tearing herself away from her notebook.
"Shit!" She the her notebook to the side, scrambling to pull her swimsuit on. It was a black one piece with white accents. Grabbing her towel and her black cover dress, she pulled her flip flops on and made her way to the beach.

"R-Really?" Lloyd seemed surprised, almost. "I… No one's ever actually liked talking to me before…"

Finn smiles and nods. "Of couse, i like talking to you. Who else would ask what my favorite element is?" He asks

Nellie looked up, nearly jumping out of her skin. "Oh. Hey. Yeah, I guess you can call me Nellie. I prefer Lord of Darkness, though," she said, keeping a completely straight face.

Lloyd looked down at the water, face flushed. "N-No one… most people aren't huge dorks like me."
