With a smile, the feline man gestures to the seat across from him. "Always room for you, Calixo." The man's name falls from his lips like silk, the knowing smirk behind the gaze clear. "What brings you to a place like this, other than me of course?" With a lighthearted laugh, Orion beckons the barmaid over, and passes Calixo a drink. "First one's on me, all the others are gonna cost you somethin extra."
//@PhyrricViolet you, it's cool//
//also i use these slashes when talking out of character, it's just a personal preference because i use parentheses when writing don't judge me pl0x//
( @prollydelphia ah no problem I though you were talking about me just paranoid and tryna make sure lol. Slashes look better than brackets tbh //
Rheah turned, taking in the girl beside her.
"Naturally." She replied in a beat. She never turned down something if someone asked unless it was for good reason. Her voice was calm and accented.
//no worries here 🅱️//
"Cool!" Semone grinned. Though, she'd need more people for her adventure. Even though she wasn't the brightest tool in the box, she knew from experience that two was never enough for a battle. Without tact, she stood on a chair and shouted, "Anyone want to kill some hags with me?"
Rheah's hand lingered again to the concealed crossbow at her side but forced it to relax back again to a neutral angle.
"Anyone else? She called loftily, her accent dragging out the sibilance on her s softly, like a snake.
Semone held up the paper to her face, a few folds evident where she clutched it. "Don't know, just says reward." She offered it out to the girl.
Semone squinted at the unfamiliar address. "Yeah, but does anyone know where it is? I'm a traveller, not a local."
Ahmik straightened at the call and eyed the forming group with a grin. If he wasn't going to find anyone he might as well do something fun.
"I know most places, maybe I can help out," he said coolly, smirking.
"Great! Can you tell me where this is?" Unceremoniously, Semone shoved the paper into his face. She seemed to realize something, then turned back to her group. "I just realized, I don't know any of your names."
"Rheah." Rheah replied formally. "And for you?"
(Rhee - ah but the h's are somewhat gutteral, think similar to the Arabic h)
With a smile, the feline man gestures to the seat across from him. "Always room for you, Calixo." The man's name falls from his lips like silk, the knowing smirk behind the gaze clear. "What brings you to a place like this, other than me of course?" With a lighthearted laugh, Orion beckons the barmaid over, and passes Calixo a drink. "First one's on me, all the others are gonna cost you somethin extra."
Licking his lips slightly, he takes a seat across from Orion.
“Oh I believe you know exactly why I’m here,” Cal replies with a wink. At the hint of the extra cost, he took the other’s hand and flashed him a grin.
Tracing his fingers over Cal's knuckles, Orion gives him a smile. "It's been much too long since I've seen you. Much too long." Looking content, he sips his drink, not flinching at the burn down his throat. "Scuttlebug says that some people are looking to go on a hag hunt, you in? I've been itchin to get out into the woods." With a self deprecating smile, Orion continues on. "Granted, might have just been missin you."
(Scuttlebug is a military term, that refers to rumors/rumor mills)
Ahmik shot the stranger a half-hearted glare before scanning the paper. He raised an eyebrow and glanced over at the adventurers before returning his eyes to the words.
"It's near a town a decent distance away. A bit of a shady place if I'm being honest." He pointedly pushed the bounty back into her hands.
"Shady's no problem for me." Rheah threw a venomous glance back at him before returning back to her usual neutral expression in a heartbeat.
"I'm Semone. Can you take us there?" She asked, oblivious to everyone's glares.
"Of course," he answered with a wink and a grin. "The name's Ahmik."
“Missed you too, Ori,” Cal replies with a grin. Turning to the other people joining in on the conversation, he introduced himself as well.
“Calixto, or Cal works too I suppose.”
"Alright! Good to meet you!" She flashed a hearty smile, and slapped Rheah's back a tad too hard. "You too, Rheah. Now, lead the way, Ahmik!"
Rheah whirled around at the touch but after a pause slapped Semone's back in half-serious retaliation, walking ahead to the door in a quick stride.
"Ahmik, Which way?" She asked, nodding at him slightly, reserved and formal again.
Ahmik sniggered at the exchange before briskly pushing the door open and stepping outside.
"South, through the south gate."
He began walking down the street, pulling his hood up.
Cal stood and began to follow. He gave Orion his hand and pulled him along as well. After exiting the door of the tavern, he took a quick look around. Letting go of his friend's hand, he went to talk to the others in the group. This would last up to a few days, so might as well be friendly.
Semone followed by Ahmik's side, and took in the surroundings around her. It had been a long time since she last visited a town, and the stone street was unfamiliar underneath her feet. Occasionally she would spare a glance towards townsfolk and merchant stands with childlike amusement.
(Wow okay this died)
