Silver climbed up to see over the backseat. "Wait, you're gonna let Ben drive after all that? Isn't driving half of what got him into that mess?"
Miki moved to the passenger seat and drew her knees up to her chin. "Yeah, man, I wouldn't be able to drive after a panic attack."
Violet huffs. “Just watch him, Sil. I can’t wrestle him into here. He’s a very safe driver.” She tightens her grip on the wheel.
You think I like this?
And it was an anxiety attack, Miki. There’s a difference.
Ben continues driving, trying not to zone out. His eyes are still watering, and he can’t tell if it’s from pain or heat anymore. He grips the bike handles tighter.
Calm down.
Silver groaned and sank down behind the seat again. She positioned herself so she could watch Ben out the back window and focused on tuning into the air around him, to keep a gently hold on him in case he got distracted or started falling behind.
After a few minutes of silence in which Miki very much disagreed with Violet's life choices, she asked quietly, "How long have you and he been together?"
Violet's face flushes a bright red and she bites her lip, unsure whether to be angry or flustered. "W- It's- It's not like that. I've known Ben since he was twelve. I just- we're friends."
VIOLET. I cannot believe that escaped your lips. I'm truly exhausted.
A slow grin spread across Miki's face and she turned to look out the window so Violet couldn't see. After a second she regained control of her features and leaned her head back against the headrest. "You're a terrible liar, Vi." she says casually.
Silver metered her breathing, her eyes never leaving Ben. I've never driven a car before. Or a bike. If he passes out I'll have to keep control of his bike. WITH MY BRAIN.
Violet very quietly sighs, still red in the face. "Miki, darling. Everyone is terribly exhausted. I'd like it if you did your best to not irritate us."
Ben slows the bike down a little, his head pounding and his eyesight going blurry. He pulls the bike over with great effort, feeling like there was something holding onto it. He removes his helmet and loses grip of it, dropping it to the ground. He wobbly climbs off of the motorcycle and sits by it.
I'll be fine. I'm okay.
He leans up against it and creases his brow.
It burns
He wraps his arms around himself and pulls his knees up to his chest.
Miki grinned again and cocked a finger gun at her. "Your secret is safe with me."
Silver scrambled up over the top of the backseat again. "Violet, Ben just pulled over! He got off the bike! Stop the van! Violet, Ben stopped!"
Violet quickly pulls over and stops. She unbuckles and opens the door, stumbling out and running back.
I hate the redhead.
"Ben! Ben." She runs to him and stops, kneeling. "Ben?" She feels his forehead and winces, taking her wrist away. "Love, wake up. I need to get you in the car."
He remains limp.
She sighs and stands, waving to the car. "I need help!"
Miki groaned and threw her door open with a, "Stay here, Sil!" over her shoulder before slamming the door behind her and jogging back to Ben and Violet. Without a word she grabbed one of Ben's arms and draped it across her shoulders, wrapping her arm around his waist. "You get that side, Vi." she said, hauling him up. "Oof, your boy is heavy!"
Vi puts his other arm around her and her arm around his back. "Yes, I know. He works out-oof- a lot."
His body is hot and Violet begins to sweat, trying to get him back to the vehicle. His feet drag and his head hangs, his black curls swishing back and forth as they try to drag him.
Purple eyes peer down from the building above. "He said the one with winds was Silver, right?" Yes "And are we going for her or the man?" Either works. Preferably the man. She nods. "Got it."
Miki opened the side door of the van with her free hand when they reached it and grabbed Ben's leg. "Silver! Help us!"
Silver sat up and saw them struggling to get Ben's heavy self in. She frowned and mentally grabbed his legs and his abdomen, easing some of his weight off the girls and helped them lay him on the bench. Miki leaned against the side of the van to catch her breath. "Good grief why are guys so heavy. Okay, Vi, are you gonna drive his bike? We have to get somewhere soon cuz we're taking way too long and Ben and Silver are way too obvious. And it's broad daylight."
Violet bites her lip. He's going to hate me for this.
"Miki, you drive the bike, I've got the kids in here." she runs around to the rivers seat and gets in, buckling and starting up the car. She turns the air conditioner on blast.
Kissa picks up Ben's helmet and stokes the side of the bike. She wears a T-shirt and some skinny jeans.
It's a wonder the boy is still alive.
Name: Kissa Cove
Age: 16
Gender: female
Appearance (clothing, face and body): Kissa wears clothes to match the moment, so she's normally dressed in T-shirts and skinny jeans. Her feet are always bare. She has a round face and slanted, purple eyes. Her nose is somewhat pointy, but looks round from the front. She has think, dark lips. Her cheeks are round and her face is sprinkled with dark freckles. Her skin is pale white, making her almost look sick. She's 5'4ft tall and is skinny.
Additional info: Kissa has large wings twice her size that are incredibly fluffy and feathery. They're a creamy white and shed feathers a lot. She normally if not always keeps them invisible.
Element(water, Air, Fire, Ice, Earth, ect….): Kiss doesn not have an element. She is trained in mind tricks/magic and she has wings. That's it.
Miki nodded and turned to head back to the bike. Her eyes landed on a kid standing beside Ben's bike, holding his helmet. "Yo!" she yelled, starting to run. "Hey, 'scuse me, that's not yours."
Kissa looks over to Miki, eerily calm. She blinks slowly and hands the helmet over smoothly.
"I'm sorry." She quietly states, her voice sounding melodic and sweet, yet small. "Is your friend alright?"
Miki slowed down as she reached the girl and took the helmet. "Yeah. He's okay. Just… has a… a cold." She put Ben's helmet on and reached for the bike. Part of her knew she should be panicking, trying to play it cool so the girl didn't suspect anything. But the other part of her was too cool. She swung herself onto the bike and nodded to the girl. "Uhh, see ya. Be careful out here."
A small smile crosses Kissa's face. "I hope his fever goes down. " She calmly states, stepping back from the bike so Miki can drive. "I wouldn't want him to catch fire in the car."
Miki's heart plummeted but she schooled her features and gave Kissa a little laugh. "Oh, wow, well, I don't think his fever is that bad. If that happened I'm sure we'd have bigger problems." With that she revved the engine and gave Kissa a wave, pulling out and heading after the van.
Silver bit her lip, having caught the tail end of Miki's exchange with the stranger girl. Her heart pounded in her chest and a slight headache pulsed behind her eyes. Oh, bless, Miki, please tell me she's just a random stranger. But the girl's energy felt too familiar. To painfully familiar. Come on, Miki, just follow us.
The girl follows, slowly strolling behind them, until Violet turns a corner and they can't see her anymore.
"He's hot. I can make him catch fire and then take one."
Please do.
She smiles and nods. "I'm going in."
With that, she disappears.
Violet bites her lip, her heart racing. We'll be fine. Ben is fine. We're good.
Ben groans a bit in the back seat, and he moves his hand to rub his forehead.
Silver's heart beat faster when the girl got out of sight. I don't like this one bit. She carefully pulled the Miki and the motorcycle closer to the van, keeping it in her control. It might be wisest to mention something to Violet but Silver also thought that might just make Violet freak out.
That girl just felt too familiar. But Silver hadn't been able to see her face clearly.
She gritted her teeth and called to Violet, "How much longer?"
Violet gulps. "A while, I'm afraid. We're running out of safe-houses."
Kissa flies up behind Miki, still invisible, but the wind from her wings is very strong and noticeable. She kicks the bike with both feet and all her strength, sending it lunging forward and into the back of the car. Violet swerves a bit. "What waS THAT!?"
Silver felt the impact hit the bike, but she wasn't expecting it and she'd drawn Miki too close to the van to stop it. "I think we're under attack." she said, way too calmly considering the situation. For half a second Silver hesitated, knowing what she had to do but also knowing it would cause more problems. But it was her only choice. She swore and laid her hand on the handle of the hatchback. "Whatever happens, Violet, keep going! And ask Miki where a safe house is. She'll have one close by. Don't stop!"
And with that she shoved the back open and leaped onto the road. She snatched Miki off the bike and flew back to the van, grabbing a hold of the open back while she bundle Miki into her place, and slammed the door behind her. Whipping around, she scanned the area, noticing the unnatural wind. Flinging the bike to the side of the road and turning it off, she beat her wings to rise higher, off the street. Rage and fear and love and exhaustion laced her veins and subconsciously she made her own wind, whirling around her like an invisible tornado, creating a barrier between the van and whoever–whatever– had attacked them.
Kissa rolls her eyes and goes to her plan B. She reappears in the road in front of the car. Violet screams, bringing Ben back to the real word with wide eyes, and she swerves, hitting a small, abandoned building head on but without much speed. The air bag inflates and Kissa goes invisible again.
(Thank you, I drew it :D)
