Hey friends (sorry to change the subject) but I just realized I never showed any of my old art and new art

so like

Should I do that (thanks One Project for reminding me you're incredible!!)?

@The-N-U-T-Cracker

Go ahead! I love seeing how people improve! Also I didn't show mine either, I went and saved pictures of old drawings but never posted them, should probably get to that

Deleted user

Wait no i think i did something like that

ALL WELL

lmao

Ella I'd love to see how you improved!

@InstaOnly

I'd love to see more art, I love seeing how others get better at things. Also lol Ella, I never got around to sharing old art either. I should find some of my old character designs so y'all can cringe at them.

Alright G I A N T timeline and really bad stuff for y'all lets gooo

Okay so I started drawing in 6th grade but I literally have none of it (and some in-between stuff, so if I have random jumps that's probably why lol).

Latest thing I have, dating 3-10-17 (and still on my wall)

3-15-17

3-26-17

3-27-17 (dog)

4-5-17 (Apparently this is ME wheeezzzeeee)

4-27-17

8-21-17 (I love hiatuses apparently, and I thought this was a good comparison for the stuff I do nowadays)

9-30-17 (Google Drive)

10-30-17

(The one on the right is a lot later into 2018)

(Giant jump)

3-??-18

Then I this is where things are lost (because of the thrown away sketchbook RIP ol faithful) but I still have some scraps of what I drew.

3-4-18

(Idek what happened here, and I can't check lol)

6-11? 16?-18

(I didn't really have much else lol. 8th grade was heck and I didn't take many pictures of my art in the sketchbook I lost)

2-25-19

3-13/14/15-19

3-16-19

4-15-19

4-19-19

4-20-19

4-26-19

5-5-19 (Love this one)

5-6-19

That's it so far!

Sorry for the wall of lag lol

aww ty Nana

Looking back I'm very glad I improved

I sucked

@InstaOnly

Definitely a lot of improvement, you've gotten great at art Emi. :D Especially on noses, I can't draw noses properly for the life of me.
And I dug up two old art things and have some new-ish drawings. I'd get more, but a bunch of heavy stuff fell on my art box so I can't get my elementary sketchbooks or anything. I'll post them in a minute.

@soupnana group

Oof. I bet we can all say that for our old art at some point. I mean, I look back at my old art and just laugh because I kinda can't believe I had drawn such a monstrosity.
And, in actuality, they aren't terrible. Especially compared to my ninth grade drawings…. yeech…. shiver

@InstaOnly

Fancy Cat Plane Doodle
That's just a doodle, my main thing to show my old v new art is an UnderTale Temmie Redraw,

Old (4 years ago)

New-ish, it's from about a year ago give or take. Sorry the drawings are so big.

@InstaOnly

Thanks! All of you are better at actually finishing beautiful drawings though lol.
I do about 1-2 finished drawings with full shading each year, it just so happened my redraw was one of my more ambitious art pieces. My average stuff is more pages of concept sketches now.

@InstaOnly

My pen tip has decided to stop working so now I can only do traditional sketches until I fix it, rip.

@soupnana group

Oof. And no, I for one can't finish beautiful drawings at ALL. I usually just sketch and nothing more. Although I am working on a self portrait for graphic design.
Actually, here's the test project. I wish I could have done more with the hair, but whatever.

@InstaOnly

Surprisingly it's 11 where I am and I'm not tired. Though that's besides the point.
You don't think that's amazing? The colors work so well and are in so many shades, plus I can't draw humans that good. In fact all my stuff is stylized, because it's what works for what I want to draw. Everyone has strengths that let them stand out among so many artists. Without study after study I can't do things like your test, because it's your own style and shows the effort you put into your art. Every artist is their own worst critic, and sometimes you end up seeing the flaws when everyone one else sees the perfections and effort until someone reminds you it's worth the praise.
I'm going to clean this up in the morning if I find grammar mistakes or anything, but if you read this before then I mean it when I say everyone is good at art in their own way. No matter how ramblely it is from my 11:00 self.

@soupnana group

Oh my gosh Project you are literally the sweetest! Thanks so much. The colors are actually part of what I'm proud of, but I do admit that the picture looks better in Illustrator or on printed paper. For some reason, google likes to saturate really colorful pictures to an unbearable extent. Especially vector files. And I totally agree. Artists have an annoying tendency to hate on their own art, a refuse to see the good in it. When they do that I kinda wanna slap em upside the head then grab them by the shoulders and shake them screaming, "WHY CAN'T YOU UNDERSTAND THAT YOU ARE A FLIPPIN TALENTED HUMAN BEING!!!! TAKE MY PRAISE GOSH DARN IT AND IF THAT MEANS I HAVE TO KILL YOU FOR YOU TO TAKE A COMPLIMENT THAN SO BE IT!" 😊
And 11:00 you is surprisingly coherent. I am really tired right now cause I had caffeine. Like, I'm all jittery but at the same time I feel REALLY tired. And I still have to put my laundry in the dryer. And brush my teeth….. uuuuugh…. I hate moving.

@InstaOnly

Oof. That’s relatable on being tired while moving. I’ve basically lived off of caffeinated tea the past couple of moves I’ve done.
The only time saturation has bugged me was when it made my icon annoyingly bright, which made me change my profile picture yesterday. And even if you say it’s different from being printed your art is still great, you did an amazing job if saturation didn’t mess up the colors you chose.

@Starfast group

I'm a little late, but @Soup_Nana_and_co oh my god that is amazing!!
And @IOnlyHave1Project that's some great improvement!

@soupnana group

Hey guys! I finished my self portrait. It's the same sort of style of the test one, just with a ton more detail.

Yay! It's not sideways, and it's not super saturated!

@InstaOnly

It looks amazing, the colors are so nice with how well they work! :D
