The WIP looks nice, Mojack! Is it based on anything, or is it an original creature? Also, what program are you using if you don't mind me asking?

Thanks!
Any similarities are unintentional, however I did base some of the details I plan on including in the final product on real world animals. Such as birds and moths, as well as basing the mouth off of a creature from a game I played, though I did attempt to make it somewhat different, and I think I succeeded.
Other than that, it’s more of an original creature.
I’m using SketchClub on iOS.
Huh, I've never heard of that program. I'll have to check it out.
And nice original creature then! I couldn't remember any creatures like what you drew off the top of my head, so that's what made me curious. Just based on the WIP I think it's design is wonderful. :D
I found this video on YouTube, it's almost an hour long but quite helpful in my opinion.
Ooo I’ll have to check it out sometime!
oooh i love sycra's videos! theyre a bit long but packed with tons of tips and tricks ;)
Neat, just skimming to see how they painted lighting on the skull was super helpful, I'll make sure to watch the full video some time!
Also, I redrew one of my creatures because the original concept felt just a little too round and fluffy to give off the unnatural and horror-ish vibe I was trying to make. I guess it's also kind of a redraw? The original is from a year ago.
Original concept and New concept
wow, that looks really cool!
Oh wow, that looks great
Thanks! :D
Oooh I ordered some tortillions and a sketchbook with heavier paper off of Amazon I'm so excited. I didn't get micron pens though rip
Awesome!
oof microns are actually the best
Y'all like more digital art or traditional art?
Well…..
I draw traditionally, but I color it digitally. (On a computer. With a mouse. It's kinda hard lmao)
Traditional. I can't do digital to save my life.
Digital because I usually make a mess with everything, plus then my baby sister can't scribble on it
Traditional. I like the look of straighter lines, becaise heaven forbid I cannot draw with just one finger.
Ah, now that's good logic NutElla. I am the youngest though, so I don't have to worry about that. Instead I have to worry about people smudging the pencil on any of my drawings. You wouldn't believe how many people try to run their fingers over my drawings. They're like, "Oh this is so nice! Guess I will caress it like a beloved pet!" Like, why!? It's a drawing for peets sake! It doesn't need to be stroked!
Anyways, y'all wanna see my first drawing for Mermay?
I do my coloring digitally so I don't mess up the sketch, but I enjoy traditional more. Just because I like having a physical original for my drawings.
Also sure, but what's Mermay?
ooh, sure!
Y'all like more digital art or traditional art?
I do more digital, but I still like traditional as well. I feel like my traditional art tends to be better than my digital stuff.
Also sure, but what's Mermay?
It's a drawing challenge where you draw a different mermaid every day. I've never done it, but I think it's kind of like Inktober where there's a different prompt for each day.
Meymay is like Inktober or Drawtober
