(I definitely didn't get this idea from a fanfic. Also, this is wlw. it'll become obvious why in the description)
In a world run by kings and queens being the heir to the throne is an important job. Character A knows this. she is the heir to a small outdated kingdom. Her parents are old fashion and plan on her future husband being the one in charge. That's why when she turned 18 they looked for a suitable suitor. She hasn't had much luck until they found Character B. Character B is apart of the royal family for a much larger and less traditional kingdom. They are far behind when it comes to who is in line for the throne since they have so many siblings. Most of the interactions between the rulers of the two kingdoms about their arrangement were via mail. This is a bit of a problem when you take the fact that character B's kingdom mainly formally speaks and writes in their own language that Character A's parents are very rusty in. That's why when character B showed up at Character A's castle they were a bit shocked and confused to find a princess instead of a prince.
I can be either character. I have an idea for character A but I'm also fine with being Character B
Warnings
-Possible chance for abuse(especially if i play character A)
-misogyny and homophobia
-I think that should be it
Nice! that description is probably a bit of a mess so tell me if you need clarification but which character are you interested in?
I think I understand the basics of it ! And I can be B if you have an idea for A!
Ok great! I'll post a character in a little bit.

She's great! I'll post a starter in a little bit
The castle was full of servants running around. Last-minute cleaning and preparing. The king had constructed a strict schedule for the family that day. Lili, as stated on that schedule, was currently standing in her bedroom. Getting her makeup and hair done. She herself had a plan in place. For now, she'll listen to her father. Show up downstairs in a half an hour to meet the man who's life she planned on making a living hell. She hoped to drive him to rip up the contract she knows her father signed on her behalf practically giving her away to this random prince. It was probably too late for him to actually back out but he sure was going to try and make him.
she stared t herself in the mirror. Her hair was currently being pinned behind her in a braided low bun. Her makeup was simple. Nothing too noticeable just enough to cover any blemishes. Her dress was long and light pink with small golden designs.
(Hehe, I love that song!)
The ride to her new fiancé's castle was less than adequate, since it was very long and rather tiring. She didn't look forward to being sent off, away from her brother, away from her family, away from her mothers homeland to live in a place that she was foreign to. She was dressed in a beautiful white and gold dress, a small tiara pressed into her hair, her mothers necklace around her neck. Her make up made her appear more ethereal than ever. She sighed and glanced at her maidservant, Nia, who gave her a tiny smile. "Everything will work out, I promise." She whispers.
They arrived and Anastasia gave a heavy sigh. She exits the carriage in all her composed glory and gazed around her new home. She didn't look forward to this, but she did it anyways.
Lili walked downstairs. She was about to stand in the entrance hall when her father stopped her. "Lili I will say this one more time. Prince Anthony is a chance for our kingdom to make great process. You are not to mess this up, understand?" His voice was hushed but demanding. Lili cast her eyes down to the ground.
"Yes father." she walked to the entrance hall standing up straight. Her father shot her a look and she put in a small smile. Same as her mother's who was also in the room. She wanted her country to do better than it was but she can make that happen not some prince. If she can just wait for this all out until her father has no choice but to crown her as a sole leader then shed be set. She could finally pull her kingdom out of poverty. The king was in front of both the princess and the queen when A servant opened the castle doors to reveal the carriage.
Anastasia composed herself. She had to for the sake of her kingdom. Her kingdom… oh this could be a chance. She was scared, scared she would mess this up somehow. Her kingdom was open, and ahead of its time… but even still. Could she do this? She was only 19… she had so much to live for, so much left to do. She smoothed out her dress and her tiara as she made it to the castle.
Nia helped her out of the carriage and sighed deeply and inhaling the fresh air. She cleared her throat, shoving her emotions down. A real princess does what's right for her people. She had to do what is right for her people. She had to do this. She takes a deep breath and walks to the doors, watching them open. Today was a new time for her kingdom. This was the time to make alliances, time to work together.
The kings welcoming smile faltered slightly as he looked at the princess. He kept staring at the carriage waiting for a prince to appear. Lili couldn't see much but she could tell by her father's body language that something wasn't right. Great my fiance is probably ugly. Maybe Father will kick him out himself. She took a step forward but froze when Anastasia came into view. she stared at her mesmerized for a moment before snapping out of it and looking around for a prince. Seeing no one. Her smile slowly crafted into a smirk. "Well this is going to be interesting," She said a little louder than she meant to. Her father threw her a glare and her smirk dropped. She looked at Anastasia.
Anastasia saw the faltering smile and a smirk fell upon her lips. She knew instantly by that look that the king had fucked up somehow. After all, their letters were basically chicken scratch. Nia took her cloak from her and hummed as she withdrew a letter from the pocket of the cloak. It was their most recent letter, confirming the exchange. She curtsies kindly, "I hope we're not to late? We had to deal with a bit of snow on our way here." She knew that something got mixed up when she saw the other woman. This kingdom was a bit more slow… when it came to love. "May we come in?" She asks, raising her brow once again. She held her with so much elegance and power it was hard not to obey.
"Of course! Welcome to our kingdom," The king said stepping aside. the doors closed behind them. When he heard about the snow and slow travel a look of realization went over his face. "Oh not late at all. You must be princess Anastasia. Is your brother Antonio in a different carriage?" He asked his smile fully back. Lili bit the inside of her cheek to stop herself from speaking up. She really hoped that possibility wasn't true. It wouldn't make much sense. She stood up straighter as they took a step back giving the princess room. Her father had told her multiple times now that there was no way for him to break the contract. Would he go back on his word now?
She stepped inside and curtsied ever so slightly to the queen and the princess. She turned her cold gaze back to the king. "Yes. I am princess Anastasia. However. My brother is not joining us. He is already happily engaged to his husband," she said that simply to irk the king and to make him realize same sex couples were normal in her home, "and is preparing to take the throne once my father steps down. Besides, your letter requested a woman." She gazed at the King, waiting for him to defy her. Back in her country it was actually a celebration when two of the same sex joined together, or if they came out. But she sensed it was not so here. However, from what she knew. The this kingdom needed this marriage to pull themselves out of poverty. She was sure there were other reasons. However, that was the main one. Besides. There was no way of breaking this contract. It would be an insult to the biggest kingdom of the land. She gazed at the King, Queen, and Princess. She was tall, so it almost felt as if she were gazing down at them.
The queen had a forced smile and looked over to her husband. Lili gave an overdramatic curtsy. She decided to take over as the welcoming wagon seeing as her father was still frozen in place. He was thinking hard and Lili knew that must be very difficult for him. "Welcome, Princess Anastasia. It is a pleasure to have you in our Kingdom. I am Princess Lili. Would you like me to show you to your room?" She asked her voice much more elegant now. she wanted to move the princess to another room before her father said something dumb. He gave her a look but didn't stop this. She knew he had dug himself into a corner. There was no getting out of this and Lili was definitely more than ok with that.
Anastasia smiled at the Princess. "Seeing as this has been a long trip, I could do to take a moment to rest. Nia, be a dear and take my bags to my room?" Nia bowed slightly before heading back to the carriage. With that, Anastasia turned her attention back to the princess. "The pleasure is all mine, Princess Lili." The way that Anastasia said her name was like honey. Her accent only adding to it. She bows, gently taking Lili's hand and kissing the back of it before straightening. She knew the king must be trying to process everything, so she simply let it be and let her new fiance take over. She thought she would be kicking and screaming about this, but seeing how the mix-up had landed her with a princess rather than a prince, she was pleased to say the least. She waved her hand forward, signalling the other to guide her to her room. This was going to be interesting.
Lili nodded failing to fight back the blush that reached her cheeks when Anastasia kissed her hand. Seh trend around and walked up the main staircase. "Your room is on the other side of the castle from my chambers. That of course is only temporary." She walked down a hallway and opened a door. Everything was freshly cleaned and there were fresh flowers on every table. the door leads to a modestly decorated room. It was the largest guestroom in the castle. the furniture was well made and comfortable. Lili had so many mixed thoughts. For one even though this is a princess she has no way of knowing what Anastasia is like. Should she be welcoming her or trying to scare her off?
Even if Lili tried to scare her off, Anastasia grew up with 12 brothers. Nothing could scare her much these days. She noticed the blush on the others cheeks, and hummed thoughtfully. It was a rather cute look- ah. Getting to know her first. That was the most important thing right about now. She glances around the castle and then hums as she enters her room. She hummed as she gazed at the flowers, touching the petals lightly. Anastasia hummed as she relaxed into a chair, a small smile on her lips. "Ah, this will do quite nicely. Now, I was wondering if you know what your father has planned for the day? So that I may be prepared?"
Lili nodded. She smiled softly at the other princess. Her cheeks still tinged pink. "Yes, today is supposed to uneventful. Let you relax from your long trip. Then there will be supper in about an hour. Tomorrow is when he planned to show you around our kingdom." She stood in the doorway. "I do apologize for the mix-up and his… reaction. It was just a bit shocking to see you. A pleasant surprise in my opinion if I'm being honest."
Anastasia already seemed comfortable in her surroundings, humming as she listened to Lili explain the situation. "Well, I think that will be splendid." She offers one of those knowing smiles at Lili. "No need to apologize. I'm glad to see it's a pleasant surprise." She coos as stands. Nia slowly moves past Lili, carrying her bags in. "Well then. I shall see you at dinner." She hums sweetly, bowing politely and pressing another soft kiss to the back of Lili's hand.
Lili blushed slightly redder than before and nodded. She turned around and left without another word. She walked to her chambers and was stopped by her father. They spoke in hushed voices. Well, his were hushed yells and she barely got a word in. He ended up letting her go after a few minutes. She still had no clue what his plan was from that. She went to her room and got ready for dinner. Appearing in the dining room a few minutes earlier than anyone else. She had a new plan in mind and had to make sure everyone was sitting in the right spots for this to work.
