Basic theory is that gov is in control and everyone is given a living wage and things are overseen by the gov. It has never worked so far since every time the people on top are corrupt and care for themselves while letting people starve.
Others can correct me or expound further.
You work hard, person next to you dont work very hard, you both get same reward.
^^Maybe don't have a super conservative explain something in the total opposite of the political spectrum in a condescending way?

Go ahead Pickles. Though if you're calling me super conservative you're a bit off base.
Interesting thing though. The political spectrum is not a square. It's more of triangle. Top is dictatorship, bottom is very little gov involvement. Top is where codes hold more legal power, bottom is where they don't.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wsW4hcKnaRo This video explains my views on communism pretty well, but of course I disagree with some of his points. But anyways, communism is about to each according to his need. It's about giving people the resources they need to thrive. It's like, not setting up a system where poor people are destined to fail pretty much. There is no class system, and in some cases, no money or monetary value either.

I'm pretty sure institutionalized religion is pretty far right but yeah okay
yall i don't want arguments here i just want to be educated
Like it's history or what it actually is. Because those are not the same thing.
Contrary to Propaganda that is literally everywhere, The Concept of Capitalism isn't this evil, government control, evil, thing. It's a pretty cool concept, never executed correctly. Communism is a type of Socialism, though their kinda the exact same thing, invented by Karl Marx. The difference between the two is that there are specific steps to setting up Communism, it has rules, and also it religiously follows Karl Marx's definition and words.
So Basically Communism step one is a transition period, where the working class controls the goverment and production but still pays people depending on how much they work. Step two is total Capitalism, where the government is abolished, there are no class divisions, no rank every person is just a person and the idea is you all help eachother out and do your job because it needs done and it helps people. The quote is “From each according to his ability, to each according to his needs.”
Now this doesn't sound like the Communism in history, you would be correct that's because there has never been a true communist country. So when trying to set up step one, the everything is publicly owned but people still get payed and government is still a thing, usually one of three things happens, a power hungry jerk messes it up, or the entire part is already being lead by a power hungry jerk so it was doomed from the start. See someone has to initiate the change and that someone is usually one political party and they interpret step one as a Command economy, where everything is publicly owned/ government owned, which set's up a system where a select few people have a whole lot of power and then it just stays that way, there has never been a successful transition to total communism. A Command economy means the government controls the economy completely, the consumers have no influence on it. I shouldn't have to explain why that is bad.
Communism doesn't work because people are by nature self centered. All examples of Communism in the past were not communism, there has never been true communism. They all turn into Fascism, China isn't Communism, that's Fascism, USSR, that was Fascism , there has never been actual Communism, ever.
If you want to know about a point in history in depth let me know I'm good with history
Well all of that was drastic misinformation.
It's kinda not though? It's bassicly a rundown of the "What is communism." Section of it's history on a reliable well researched cite with credible sources.
But I mean if you think you know more than a Professor of Political science, who wrote it, go off.
Fine, I acknowledge that some of that was sort of correct, but "reliable" sources on communism are often biased instead.

Bruh I'd vote pro gay and no prayer in class.
Let problematic fave stay tho, they seem like they know what theyre talking about
I will admit I am less for communism than I am more against capitalism, but I call myself a neo-communist because I don't believe in classic communism, I believe in a sort of modified, more modern version that most communists I know use.
Yall. Can. You. Stop. Fighting.
I'm afraid you asked a very controversial question. But I would hardly call this fighting.

For once I agree with Dom, whose name sounds really weird for a site with mostly minors on it.
I'm not seeing where Rels and Fave are at odds based on what I know of history and the vid I've started watching.

Yeah, I just disagree with the "intrinsic motivation" bit, it's not bad but a little under-nuanced to me.

OH SHIT. I did not know, genuinely. Sorry, I did not mean to come off as weird.
