@softredscrunchie group

gotta be upfront here - I love so many different types of music, but I only have a few songs I'd really describe as "perfect." a lot of people already got a bunch that I'd put otherwise. (no I am not crying to see that so many people like musicals I am perfectly fine) I'm also giving reasons why I loved the songs even though absolutely nobody asked.
here we go!

  • C'mon by Panic! at the Disco and Fun. such an underrated song. lyrics, melody, everything is amazing.
  • How Far We've Come by Matchbox Twenty. lowkey makes me cry because it always gets me reflecting. lyrics are lovely and message is really nice.
  • Tonight at Eight by Zachary Levi, from She Loves Me. ahh this song has me spinning around my room and it makes me believe in love and excitement again.
  • All I'd Ever Known by Eva Noblezada and Reeve Carney, from Hadestown. honestly anything from Hadestown is spectacular, the show has me going from crying and marveling at the gorgeous music.
  • Riptide by Vance Joy. I know, I know, it's super overrated, but I really do love it. I have a lot of good memories associated it, so it is very beautiful to me :)
  • Wrecking Ball by Mother Mother. there's something about it that just captures my vibes perfectly.
  • Sophie by The Altogether. yes my name is Sophie, yes I am conceited. it really is an amazing song though.

honorable mentions include:

  • Constellations by The Oh Hellos. adventure music if there ever was any!
  • Youth by Daughter. I would listen listen to the version from their Wild Youth album.
  • Prom Queen by Beach Bunny. I love her music.
  • The Hand That Feeds by The Crane Wives (or really, truly, anything by them). it has incredible harmonies.

@jupiter-sun-of-sweater-town group

  • Jolene by Dolly Parton
  • Physical by Dua Lipa
  • Hey There Delilah by Plain White T's
  • Everybody Wants To Rule The World by Lorde
  • Trampoline by SHAED
  • Say Goodbye to Hollywood by Billy Joel
  • Hallelujah by Pentatonix
  • Bird Set Free by Sia
  • Kill Of The Night by Gin Wigmore
    yeah i know some of these are covers but i like them better than the originals so deal with it

@tomat brightness_7

  • Youth by Daughter. I would listen listen to the version from their Wild Youth album.

tbh every Daughter's song is beautiful. I just love that eerie, mysterious vibe. it's like walking through a forest and listening to all the voices of trees and animals.
