Eyyy I have a murder mystery plot and would love some feedback on it. It's a very basic summary but i can give way more detail.

A group of friends who met online decide to meet up in person and go on a vacation together. The cabin they are staying in gets snowed in during the night. The following morning one of them is discovered dead. They died from natural causes but due to events the previous night the person who found them is convinced they caused their death. Paranoia ensues and accusations fly. Several more of them die for various reasons ( kill them before they can kill us type of thing ) Eventually, the character who thinks they are the murderer confesses saying it's all their fault. They stay behind locked doors guarded by the others until the police arrive. It is then discovered that the original death was not anyone's fault. ( yay! trauma for everyone! )

I'm thinking it would be written from the perspective of the person who thinks they're the murderer. I also had the idea to reveal at the end of the story that the whole thing was a confession to the police but that one's up in the air. So, yeah! Lemme know what you think.

11/10 would binge read this tbh. I'm not a huge mystery fan in general, but the twist doubled with the police confession idea? Gold. That's my opinion!

Honestly me too, 11/10, I’d so read it. When I first started reading the plot I though it would be pretty common (aka the group is stuck somewhere, there’s a murder, chaos ensues), but the way you flipped it to have the characters only act based on psychological characteristics and paranoid natures— now, that’s where it’s at. Truly admirable. I love that you keep the big reveal for the last, but if it was done very well (I have no doubt you could do it very well), then it might be even better if the audience knows it was natural causes the whole time, and just watches the characters run in circles about something nonexistent the whole time. Either that or you could drop the smallest clues among the story, to the point where you have that “I KNEW IT!” moment at the end. Overall, absolutely amazing. Love the idea!
