I don't use Notebook for much besides rp these days. I have lots of character and location profiles but I haven't edited any or added new ones in several months. But for some reason when I went to my home page the other day, I saw a list of characters that had been "edited 17 hours ago" or "edited 1 day ago". And today, it happened again, but with a list of different characters. The characters were a mix of public and private ones, and I don't have any collaborators added atm. I checked some of the profiles themselves and I couldn't actually find any changes to them, but naturally it makes me a little anxious since I worked hard on those characters and I don't want to lose their info.
As a side note, I did work on my universes recently a little bit. I've never messed with the tag system except just recently when I updated some universe profiles, but none of those tags or links connected to my characters.
Anyway, just thought I'd report that lol
I'm actually just going to quote what andrew (Our Supreme Lord and Overseer) said on another thread. Hopefully that clears it up ^^
andrew (Our Supreme Lord and Overseer): I've got a super-long-running migration that's converting all of the old links into the new style, which is probably marking pages as updated (now that links are included in changelogs). This is a one-time thing (although it's taking much longer than expected) that's probably to blame here.
Ah okay, that's good to know! Thank-you! ^^
Oh yeah, same thing happened to me! Good to know!
Ah yeah, sorry about that! I thought this migration would take about a day to run, but I was wildly off. It looks like migrating 40-million-some links to the new system might take up to a week – but then your recently-edited will go back to what you'd expect!
I'll probably put up some kind of reassuring banner and/or see if I can turn off changelog updates during the migration in the meantime. I also saw my own old characters surface today and had a moment of "hey, wait a minute…" before I remembered why. :P
