:D
kjdsdjhbf hmmm. Depends on the tone we want for the RP. Are we thinking more of a romcom, or do we want drama? Bc I have a few vague ideas, but it depends on what tone/style we're going for
would it be out of the question to say 'hit me with both and we can go from there'?
djbgdksj it's fine, just be warned they're very rough
So so so more romcom-y ideas:
Dramatic ideas
that's all i got lmao sorry
honestly….while i love me some drama, the romcom-y ideas sound so fun. consider: they meet at a mortal party before con heads up to olympus to work with hermes, and then possibly run into each other again on olympus at an olympus party only to find out theyre arranged to be married lmao. or its even like, a non official arrangement to so hermes and your kid's parent keep trying to set them up
Oooh perfect! We can always sprinkle in some drama too
drama is always welcome to be sprinkled in, at least in my book
i'll pull up a temp then!!

Name:
Constance "Con" Diamandis
Gender:
Female
Age:
18
Godly Parent:
Hermes
Appearance:
*Hair Style/Color:**
Naturally a wavy golden blonde, that isn't mid-back long, but is still long.
Height:
5'6
Complexion/Skin Tone:
A light honey/olive that gets darker the more time she spends in the sun.
*Eye Color/Shape:**
A silver blue-grey, almond shaped.
Build:
Generally very slender. Slender curves, slender muscle, has a thing for running so her legs are ~chef's kiss~.
Scars/Identifying Marks:
Mostly a lot of small ones from various accidents. Only a few have notable stories, such as the long tear along her side, or the snake bite scars on her left leg.
Tats/Piercings:
A small star right under the corner of her right eye in gold, and a tattoo of a pottery style band around her left ankle. It features a palm tree pattern as well as a square-like shape, with four hawk feathers alternating up and down, like a tattooed anklet with charms.
Clothing style and/or a handful of preferred outfits:
When she was a kid, her mother gave her a Greek gold coin pendant, and she eventually affixed it to a chain of a matching color. It was left for her by Hermes.
Very much loves light colors. You'll find her in anything from linen shorts and pants, to mini-skirts, to white capris when it comes to pants. She doesn't shy away from dresses, particularly in whites, pinks, and light blues. Prefers cropped tops, and things such as bandeau tops and bralettes.
Seeing as it's summer, and she's apprenticing for the messenger god, her go to shoes are a pair of heeled gladiator sandals in gold, that go up 2/3 of the way to her knees. Of course, they sport little wings.
Loves shiny things. Often found with various accessories, and it's hard to tell what of them she bought, and what maybe aren't actually hers. Diamonds are a weakness.
Abilities:
She's able to use the winged sandals(shoes), something only Hermes and any kids of his can do. Though he doesn't have many kids right now, each of the ones alive have their own pair. The shoes in question are incredibly strong, able to carry both the user and a 'cargo' load.
She picks up languages abnormally quick, seeing as her dad is the god of travelers. Silver tongued, on top of it.
She can run and fly at extreme speeds, and has an increased stamina. The speed and flying are faster than any other demigod would be able to, just as her dad is faster than any of the other Olympians(perks of being the messenger of the gods).
On top of all that, she can also tell with ease the difference between real and fake items, such as jewelry, art, and other precious things. She's also very good at looking at someone and guessing how much money they have on them, or how much an item is worth.
Relationship with their godly parent:
Oh they get along swimmingly. One would almost think they were twins, the way they looked and acted exactly the same. She's ecstatic to learn from him, and he's extremely excited to get to see her for a whole summer. Partners in crime would fit them perfectly.
A fun fact or two, or anything else you need to add:
Her mother is a con-artist and art and jewel thief. Con was raised in that life and adores it.
She has a taste for expensive things, despite not having the money for them.
She comes off as easy to bribe but will probably just take the bribe(money, things) and then do whatever she wants.
(I love her!! I will get up my character at some point tonight, still brainstorming and working out details of what they look like and such)
(!!! I have idea!! What if my character is like…upper class-ish and Con robs them before their first real meeting or something?)
((perfectly fine, take your time! i look forward to them!))
(alright!)
Name: Lucian August Holmes
Gender: Uses he/they pronouns, isn't picky about it. If questioned, they would probably say "masculine" and leave it at that
Age(17-19?): 18, nearly 19
Godly Parent: Apollo
Appearance:
Hair Style/Color:
Naturally a dark brown color, is currently dyed. Was originally a deep blue-purple, has faded and grown out a bit to a more pale tone. Style is somewhere between short and medium, in terms of length. Shaggy, in need of a good trimming.
Height:
5'9"
Complexion/Skin Tone:
His mother was half-black, and so they have skin a bit too dark to be White, but not dark enough to really be Black, either. If asked what race he is, he responds with "I don't know, what do you think?". So he has kind of a golden skin tone that's neither Black nor White, but somewhere in the middle.
Eye Color/Shape:
Bright blue, like the sky on an unclouded day at noon. Almond-shaped, Ig
Build:
Slim, with a little bit of muscle to his body
Scars/Identifying Marks:
Scars on fingers and hands from guitar strings snapping and cutting into their skin. Callouses on fingers from playing instruments and holding pens for too long. Always looks tired. Scar on upper left arm from when ex-boyfriend came at them with a knife.
Tats/Piercings:
A tattoo of "There are more things in Heaven and Earth, Horatio, / Than are dreamt of in your philosophy." in small letters on his right shoulder, and "Words, words, words" scrolling down the side of his left forearm (yes both are from Hamlet, fite me). Has both ears pierced, along with a cartilage piercing in their right ear.
Clothing style and/or a handful of preferred outfits(don't be shy to take some inspo from greek fashion and modernize it):
Loose and comfy and soft, really, to be honest. Likes soft sweaters and jeans, but not skinny jeans. Just normal straight-leg jeans. For whatever incongruous reason, they enjoy wearing combat boots, usually an older pair that they've had since they were 16, and have seen much wear and tear.
They have a sun ring that their mother gave them when they were young, and usually wear it either on the pointer finger of their right hand, or on a chain around their neck. Depends on the day and what they feel like doing.
They are equally comfortable in more masculine clothing or more feminine clothing, and will sometimes wear dresses or skirts, just because they want to and don't believe in "gendered clothing", as a rule. They give zero (0) fucks about what anyone else thinks they "should" be wearing, but heaven help you if you tell them not to wear something "feminine" when they want to wear it.
Abilities(magic from parent):
They inherited a gift of healing from Apollo, where they can usually sense what is wrong with a person (physically). They may not necessarily know how to fix it, but they can sense what is wrong.
Has inherited a much stronger gift for prophecy, though the ability hasn't fully manifested yet, and comes and goes in flashes. On days where it is very strong, they tend to be a little out of it and distracted, and will listen to music to help calm down and center himself again.
Can play nearly any musical instrument at an intermediate level within an hour of first playing it, though he would need continued practice to play at a master level.
"Light-casting" pretty typical for Apollo kids; can basically turn his hands into flashlights, make them glow.
Can tell exactly what time it is just by glancing at the sun for a split second, and can also look straight at the sun.
Speed, strength, and stamina typical of demigods.
Relationship with their godly parent: He isn't close with Apollo, but they aren't estranged, either. It's a comfortable relationship, where Apollo does his best to help Lucian, and Lucian does their best to get along with Apollo. Lucian's prophecy gift is rare, so Apollo helps him with that a lot
A fun fact or two, or anything else you need to add: Never sunburns (he's an Apollo kid, it would fucking suck for your dad to be the god of the sun, but you get sunburns lmao). His hands are always stained with paint.
(Whatcha think?)
((I lomf them???? sweet child))
(:D I'm glad! I'll probably switch back and forth between referring to them as he and using they, let me know if it gets confusing)
((that works, and i will! i'll get up the first party meet up starter now!))
Constance was ready for summer, arguably more so than any other teen. If that was possible.
The reason was an opportunity mortal teens didn't have. The reason was getting to see her dad, was getting to live surrounded by people she didn't have to hide her skills from. It was being around people like her. But in the end, it was mostly about her dad. They saw each other every once in a while, texted and called and sent letters and used any form of communication possible, all at the same time. Of course they did. But it wasn't the same as getting to see him for a whole summer.
The end-of-year party she was at was a good bye to the mortal realm. Nobody but her knew that, of course. Everyone else was just celebrating the fact that today had been the last day of school. Which meant a goodbye to some friends, beach parties–as Cali was known for–and summer jobs. And most of all, for a lot of them, it meant no risk of showing up to school hungover. Truly something to celebrate.
Dressed in her current favorite article of clothing, a white summer midi dress, despite the oncoming summer-night chill, Con was more than ready to say good bye to the mortal world. She loved it, of course. But her summer was to be spent in Olympus, home of the gods. That was definitely a step up from summer vacation in the mortal realm.
So, dressed up in her nice dress and earrings that were definitely probably actual diamond earrings, she dove right into the party fray. It was a beach bash, bonfire and tiki punch and all. Thanks to the sandals her dad had sent her, she could feel the warm sand on her toes as she meandered through the small crowd. Occasionally, she'd stop to talk and dance with someone. Friends, people she didn't know. This wasn't even a party for her school. Mostly because she was homeschooled. Still, the people were friendly, be that because she was decent looking or because they were just nice to everyone. Either way, she didn't mind.
"Con!" The sound of her friend's voice pulled her attention away from the guy who'd been talking almost nonstop about the migration patterns of butterflies, and she politely excused herself from his presence.
"You have to come meet Lucian!" Sam, at her six foot glory with her head swathed in a purple hijab, looked stunning tonight. And that was the first thing Con told her as she approached, always more than happy to compliment someone. Especially when that someone knew how to dress, as the long sleeved green dress and black boots that disappeared under the mid-shin skirt indicated.
"Sam! You look stunning! Who's your friend again?" Con asked, tilting her head to the side as she shot the kid next to Sam a dazzling smile. The red cup in her hands–with only lightly spiked fruit punch–kept her from needing to fidget. Meeting new people made her fidgety, not from nerves, but excitement. "I'm Con, if that wasn't obvious from Sam's loud shout."
Lucian looked like a rather peaceful person, deliberate in their movements as their shockingly blue eyes flashed over to Con. "My name is Lucian Holmes, and yes, I gathered that your name is Con." he assumed it was short for…something. Constance. Candace. Something like that, no doubt. They wore a loose, dark blue longsleeved shirt, with gold threading in the cuffs. A ring with a sun emblem glinted on the pointer finger of his right hand. Straight-legged jeans emblazoned with sharpie drawings covered their legs, with small holes at the knees, and a pair of worn black combat boots completed the outfit.
Paint was flecked on his fingers, though it looked like at least some attempt had been made to scrub it off. An attempt that, perhaps, had not been entirely successful, given that the paint still clung stubbornly to their skin.
He, too, held a red cup in his hands, but had only taken a few sips from it every now and again. When he shifted, a necklace around his neck glinted, a simple chain with a pendant, the pendant being a simply cut sunstone.
Something about the person seemed oddly familiar, though Con couldn't quite place her finger on it. Like deja vu. She had to know them from somewhere. Maybe a different country. That was likely.
"Do you go to school with Sam?" Con asked, head bobbing back and forth to the music playing from a speaker somewhere. Some Shakira song with a fun beat that she was pretty sure was on Just Dance. Definitely on Just Dance. "She's so excited for the summer, has some job set up on the pier that she swears is going to make her enough to fly to Paris for college. I hope it does, Paris is so cool. Oh! Do you have any super big plans for the summer?" As though she was physically incapable of only asking one question, or following one topic, Con managed to cram multiple into the same brief part of a conversation.
"No, I graduated, and I'm not really sure." he said, answering the questions in turns. "My plans for the summer depend on my dad and what he says, really. I'm not sure if I'm going to his place or not." he always spoke about his dad in vague enough terms that most assumed his parents were divorced. Which would be true if they had ever actually, well, married each other. Although marriage was quite impossible, seeing as their dad was Apollo, and their mom was just a regular mortal. He took a small sip from his cup. The ring was heavier than it looked, and he wished for a moment that he had just strung it on the chain.
"Going places is always super fun." Con said, her face brightening from the friendly smile to something extremely genuine. A trait she shared with both her parents. She and her mom traveled constantly, which might have been one of many things that had caused her dad to fall for her mom. The thievery was probably a big one though. "Especially if it means flying. Something about being in the air and on the go, my dad says. Do you dance?" Before even receiving an answer, she had somehow passed her drink on to a girl with sand in her hair, who downed the entire thing in one go. "Restless feet."
They nodded a little in agreement. "Traveling can be quite enjoyable, yes. And I…do not usually dance, no." Apollo might be the god of the arts, but that did not mean that all of his children inherited all of that in equal measure. Lucian had siblings who could dance better than anyone else, but he himself was only passingly tolerable at it, and he didn't love it. Not the way he loved a good melody or poem, not the way he loved when he was writing something and it all just came together when he found the perfect word or note to tie everything in.
"A crime." Con stated, furrowing her brows for a moment before, hooking a thumb over her shoulder and down the beach. "How about a walk? The sky is so pretty tonight, and it's so much easier to see the stars out here on the beach. I think it's too early to catch a turtle hatch–don't Loggerhead eggs incubate for sixty days? I wonder if I'll get to catch the turtle boils this summer. When I was in London, I missed them. No beach where I was." As she brushed a lock of golden hair away from her face, her earrings sparkling briefly in the light. "What were…oh, a walk!"
