The A-VSW-B Rapid Thunder is a multirole, supersonic heavy bomber capable of both high and low level strikes. The Rapid Thunder was originally designed to response to developments in cruise missile and point defense technologies within the GRU military.
With leaps in technology in the fields of engines and computers, smaller missiles with great capability and cheaper price were able to be designed, with a sacrifice of range. The Rapid Thunder was designed around being a launch vehicle, able to get a high number of M-AG-CH-107 Ready Dart within range, in tandem with ground and naval-launched large cruise missiles, to thoroughly over-saturate a target area's air defense network.
The Rapid Thunder is also capable of carrying a large array of conventional, guided, cluster munitions, and full-size cruise missiles. A further development of the Rapid Thunder is the A-VSW-HF Rapid Tropic, a heavy fighter based on the same profile.
