Agostino & Piotr
Piotr, a Polish refugee, has been living in shadows between the tapestries and murals of St Peter's Basilica for nine years after arriving in the Vatican in a delivery truck carrying valuable paintings away from the war. Sante is a once-pristine and loved opera singer running from the consequences of his reckless actions, burdened by the guilt and fear of his image before God. After Sante is caught by Piotr hiding amongst the bookshelves of the Vatican archives, the two do not take kindly to one another. However, to escape the Italian police and his own unrelenting shame, Sante must convince Piotr to leave the Vatican and help him flee the country.
