Plants have magical properties.
I see it like how chemicals react with other chemicals differently. I could imagine it like normal plants that exist, have no magic, and some other plants have varying levels of magic. Too much magic can be poisonous and need to be distilled or watered down to be consumed.
Magic plants have lots of different use, I think that they could be used in medicinal and more domestic uses, like a boost of charisma or strength in your coffee. they could also be used as poisons, or to tip arrows or coat other weapons.
