Qora

This a fiction universe that takes place in a pre-modern time period. This fantasy novel takes place in Limoha, a corrupt land where the royals and rich live happily on the literal top of their mountainous, steep plane and the conditions people live in decline rapidly the lower you travel. Magic is not uncommon and is treated s a badge of respect. Limoha is ruled by a selfish king and an intelligent queen who used their citizens as pawns to increase their fortune and pay back their ancestral debt to many surrounding nations.

Fiction//Fantasy

Many years ago there was one nation, Qora. Qora was a Matriarchy, ruled by a fair queen who had the power of controlling darkness, making it change its form and appear as she willed. She had five nation capitals with a royal family member in charge of each, who acted as the ruler of their repective lands under the supervision and rulings of the Queen. The ruler of the Limoha prvince was unhappy with the arrangement and wanted more power so he organized a revluntion for independence of the 5 nations. The Limoha province promised money to one kingdom, magic to another kingdom and workers for another kingdom. The Last kingdom refused to partake in the coup and instead fought to protect the queen. That land was erased from history and the royal families from the kingdom were eventually forgiven and were forced to spilt up and join the other kingdoms. 200 years later the Kingdom of Limoha is still paying the other kigdoms back, at the expense of the subjects.

In the past the magic of the people used to be extraordinary and extremely volatile. But it seems like the death of the One Queen had depleted the magic reserves of the world. Where one used to be able to heal any injury with a single touch, now healing took a number of days and a significant amount of physical and spiritual energy. Magic is hereditary although it varied greatly and its conditions seemed to differ from one person to the other. For example where two people both have the ability to control water, one could materialize it where he wanted and another could simply move around existing water. Those of royal blood with magic are given jobs within the castle

The people of Limoha who are born disabled, whether they are born from a royal or a commoner, they are sent away to the Center. The government claims publicly that their loved ones are being cared for by the strongest of magic users and that they are being sent away for their own good.

Commoner Magic users are very common but are endangered. Almost all of magic users are stolen from their families before they reach the age of 14.
Rumor has it that they are stolen by the Black Shadow.
