Space Rangers

Space Rangers is basically a group of space cowboys/cowgirls, except totally different. By this I mean, the Rangers go about the Larchenar System, or System C18 as it is called by humans, and help restore good to each planet. This is all better explained in the history section.

Humans have advanced with their technology, and now are able to travel in space. This universe is set in an era about 375 years later, where there is more diversity; many species of aliens and other lifeforms have been discovered, such as the Grelnees and Larchens. There are more solar systems with different planets and people are able to travel planet to planet with no hassle. Humans are still the overarching race. The closest solar system to ours is System C18. It is the first solar system to ever be explored by humans except our own, and it is now inhabited largely by humans.Larchens (pronounced 'Larkens')are the original inhabitants of the solar system, and they call the system the Larchenar Uraisong. 72 years after humans came to C18, Space Rangers were set up. This is a somewhat secret organisation that helps protect the innocent, banish evil and restore good to the system. Rangers are set up in groups of 5, with the novellas focusing on a single group.

Stored energy can now be used as ammunition in weapons, making laser guns available to everyone. Spacecraft are not uncommon - spacecraft vary from small starships to large ships that can carry hundreds of people at a time. Short range communication is cheap, meaning that most people and organisations have it. Communication between planets is more costly though, so only large, wealthy organisations can afford it.
